Singer Andy of the group Shinhwa joins the military on Jan. 11, according to his agency TOP Media. He will serve in uniform for 21 months and be discharged in October 2011.
His agent says, "Andy gave up his U.S. citizenship in 2003 to continue his career in Korean show business. Among the members of Shinhwa, he is the only one to serve in the military" as the others are performing substitute services.
Andy released his second solo album in October last year and recently wrapped up a concert tour to Taiwan, Japan and China.
