Kang Ho Dong replies to Lee Soo Geun’s congratulatory text message

It was revealed that the production team of KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’, together with the cast members Lee Soo Geun, Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won, Kim Jong Min, and Uhm Tae Woong have reached out to Kang Ho Dong to show their appreciation.

The members had all tried calling him multiple times, but there was no answer on the other line. In the end, they decided that Lee Soo Geun should send Kang Ho Dong a thank you message for the whole group.

According to an associate of Lee Soo Geun the text message read, “We got the award thanks to you, hyungnim. We want to share this honor with you” and Kang Ho Dong replied, “Don’t get tired and don’t lose your spirit. I was happy to have been together with all of you”.

After winning the KBS Daesang Lee Soo Geun stated during his acceptance speech, “Big hyungnim, I will go visit you with the trophy” and he had publicly deferred all the glory to Kang Ho Dong.

Close friends revealed that the reason Kang Ho Dong hadn’t answered the call was because he felt that the honor should solely be with the ’1 Night 2 Day’s team. Kang Ho Dong watched the awards ceremony on TV, but it must have hurt a lot that he couldn't be there.

Another associate stated, “To describe Kang Ho Dong’s situation right now, it’s more like that he has confined himself to his home. His heart hasn't fully healed from the unfortunate incident and that is why he isn't even able to answer the calls from the ’1 Night 2 Day’s casts, who are like his real brothers”.

’1 Night 2 Days’ was supposed to see its end on February of 2012, but for now, from all indication the production for its second season is being discussed. No official announcement has been made yet.

1N2D Season 2, what are the real plans? Direct sources speak out…

The conjectures and guesses on the fate of season 2 productions of KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Sunday – 1 Night 2 Days’ are overflowing.

A KBS insider said in a phone conversation with ‘My Daily’ regarding ’1 Night 2 Days Season 2′, “It’s true the talks have come up but there is nothing that has been finalized.”

A media outlet reported in the morning of the same day, “Season 2 will be produced without some of the main members like Eun Ji Won and Lee Soo Geun and Choi Jae Hyung PD of ‘Fly Shootdori’ and‘Invincible Baseball Team’ will be taking over.”

However, even Choi Jae Hyung PD who had been named as the PD in the story clarified his position saying, “There isn’t anything planned.”

The end of ’1 Night 2 Days’ had previously been announced for February of 2012 after Kang Ho Dong retired from the entertainment industry in September. The discussions over whether ’1 Night 2 Days’ would continue and if so, what the details of Season 2 would be has taken place time and time again.

’1 Night 2 Days’ members and staff were honored as the recipients of Daesang at the ’2011 KBS Entertainment Daesang’. Viewers and others alike point out that it would be a foolish move on KBS’s part to rid of such a great show with a great cast and staff recognized by the Daesang as well but the true future of ’1 Night 2 Days’ is still just out of reach.

With tvN’s “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop” coming to an end, actor Jung Il Woo revealed his thoughts about the drama and his character. Comparing the drama to its central theme, ramyun, Jung Il Woo wittily stated, “At times hot, spicy, and cool, we are now left with only one episode out of the sixteen bowls of ramyun. I want to thank all the viewers for enjoying the chewy and warm experience with us.” He continued, “It’s a project that I’ll never forget. Please watch over Chi Soo and Eun Bi until the very end.”

In “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop,” Jung Il Woo played Cha Chi Soo, the arrogant son of Cha Ok Gyun, the owner of Korea’s largest food conglomerate called Chasung. Jung Il Woo received much praised for improving his acting skills, as well as maturing as an actor. He’s also known for showing tremendous passion towards the drama, personally decorating the set, bringing in props, and focusing on minor details to perfect his character.

Meanwhile, Jung Il Woo has lined up his next project following "Flower Boys Ramyun Shop." He will star in the fantasy historical drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun" with Kim Soo Hyun and Han Ga In. The drama is written by Jung Eun Gwol, who also wrote last year’s “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” starring JYJ’s Yoochun, Park Min Young, Song Joong Ki, and Yoo Ah In. “The Moon Embracing the Sun” will premiere on MBC next January following Lee Ji Ah’s “Me Too, Flower!

 

While many fans were sadden with the fact that the popular series comes to an end tonight, producers behind “Flower Boy Ramyun Shop” have released some good news about a possible sequel. During a phone interview with local media OSEN, director Kim Young Gyo stated, “While we haven’t had any formal talks about making a second season, there is a possibility. Tonight is the final broadcast, so we’re all enjoying the moment.”

Lee Chung Ah, the actress who played Eun Bi, also expressed her wish for a second season. She stated, “It’s sad that I don’t get to see the rest of the cast anymore. It’s been great living as Eun Bi, and I’m sad that it has to come to an end. I wish they would make a season two.”

My Thoughts on: Flower Boy Ramyun Shop

Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is fun to watch. Nothing about it makes me wanna stop.What makes it interesting is the script and the characters. The chemistry between the cast is good.  Overall... It's good! Oh, and I love the soundtrack... a lot!

If there is anything that I don't like about this drama, it's just because this is just another typical romantic comedy drama, it won't challenge your mind or your heart. The story flows smoothly, simple and finally a happy ending. They fight, they misunderstood, they fall in love, they broke up and they're back in relationship again. I guess after watching hundreds of korean dramas I'm good at predicting the ending. Of coz I love happy ending but I don't hate a turn over or climax either. For example, 'Dream High' makes me goes WOW! why? because the main character not always the number one. 


I don't expect Flower Boy Ramyun Shop to have that turn over but towards  the end this drama has lose it's sparks... maybe it's just me. Who cares right? you watch it, you decides what you think. What I think is not important so watch it enjoy it and fall in love with it. 


After all, ladies.... you'll fall hard to every pretty faces you watch on this drama, over and over again. 

Meet the main characters:

Cha Chi Soo (Jung Il Woo) - He is known as a prince who is raise by his rich single father. everything about him is perfect, from head to toes, from his smiles to his winks, he own his very own charm. He also has his own flawed, he thinks it is a nightmare to study and communicate in English, he is mean on his own way. 

With that kind of charm and flawed, this 19 years old guy believe he can get whatever he want. No one can harm he not even his dad. But to his surprise he met the one and only person who able to shake his life, he hates everything about her and yet can't help falling deep in love with her.

Yang Eun Bi (Lee Cheong Ah) - 26 year old, and preparing herself to be a teacher. She's not the HOT type, girls don't even take her as a threat. Her bad temper has always been her major problems. Started as a pro volley ball player but think there 

Her life turns up side down when two men claimed her as their 'Honey' and 'Wife'.

Choi Kang Hyuk (Lee Ki Woo) - A talented chef, traveled from Japan to fulfill the promises he made. Easy going and sweet. Just like Cha Chi Soo, he own his own charm. He is perfect, but annoyed with simple task. For him, it is troublesome just to open a bag.

Opposites from Cha Chi Soo, Choi Kang Hyuk know where he stand, to love someone and hurt someone else is not an easy task for him, instead of loosing both people he cares he prefer to keep them by his side. To love or to leave he let times decide it for him.

Lee Ji Ah's Turning Point - Life After Seo Taiji, an Actress Reborn

2011 is a turning point in actress Lee Ji Ah's career. Last April, after it was publicly announced that she was ending her marriage with Seo Taiji, she headed into a downward spiral. I will do my best to meet everyone's expectations." 

She did meet expectations. If anything, she exceeded them. Through "Me Too, Flower," Lee Ji Ah has shown her potential to be a good lead in a drama. In past works, she was outshine by other actors, but she really grew and developed as an actress over the months. Her previous signature tomboy and city girl image has vanished, leaving a multi-faceted actress in its place. There is no over action or awkwardness. 

She's shown us that she is a versatile actress as well. Unlike her more serious roles in previous works, she shows us her comical side in this romantic comedy. Her acting no longer shows posed expressions and staged actions, but genuine smiles and real tears. 

Lee Ji Ah has really changed not only as an actress, but as a person as well. The public's response to her has changed too. This new drama provides her with a chance to move on and put the past behind her.

My Thoughts on: Blind (K-Movie)

To tell the truth... I'm bias when it comes to Yoo Seung Ho, my brother even hate me for that. But, for this movie you'll definitely agree with me...if not 100% well at least 10% of it... can you at least be nice to me? please :D 

So what I like about this movie:

The story line, this thriller movie makes me jump, scream and hold my breath. If I don't do that means it's not that thrill. I like how it start with siblings quarrel and end up as a tragedy... it give us a lot of thing to guess. I like the fact that its about a crazy serial killer who randomly pick his victims even if you're blind. If everything was set up, it might be a little bit boring.

I do think Kim Ha Neul doing great with her character as Min Soo Ah, since Min Soo Ah use to be a hyper active lady and turn blind after the tragedy I believe Kim Ha Neul portray the character well. Being blind and live her life with guilt Kim Ha Neul makes me feel that. 

I even like Jo Hee Bong character as Detective Jo, not a strong character but not bad. So, overall the acting is good.

What I don't like:

I have to say I don't like how every character develop their feelings to each other... it was too fast that I can't even feel it, well I feel it just not happy with it. The movie focus too much on the thriller and the result is it feels like every character has lost in their own character and lack of family and relationships.

Overall:

I will still watch it!

"Bali" Couple Jo In Sung and Ha Ji Won to Reunite in "The King"? [UPDATED]

“What Happened in Bali” couple Jo In Sung and Ha Ji Won are teaming up onscreen again in an upcoming MBC drama, according to local news agencies. Reports say the two actors are confirmed to take on the lead in“The King,” which was once offered to Hallyu frontrunner Lee Byung Hun.

“The King” is the first time in seven years that Jo In Sung and Ha Ji Won will couple up in a drama again, since 2004’s “What Happened in Bali.” The reunion of the two actors is raising anticipation for the drama, since both had stated filming memorable kissing scenes with each other. They are also known for having a good working relationship that translates to a strong screen chemistry.

Jo In Sung comes into the project from the stalled “Kwon Bup,” which was supposed to be his first post-military service project. Ha Ji Won, meanwhile is wrapping up her film “Korea.”

With the leads now onboard, the drama’s production is accelerating efforts to lock in the other cast members. Veteran actor Lee Soon Jae, who “The King” team has worked with previously in “Beethoven Virus,” is said to be in talks for a role.

“The King” is a fantasy melodrama about a king from the North and a princess from the South who fell in love with each other. The drama is set in an alternate universe where the king still rules the country. Its director Lee Jae Kyu and writers Hong Jin Ah and Hong Ja Ram were the team behind 2008’s “Beethoven Virus.”

“The King” is expected to start shooting soon in preparation for its March 2012 broadcast.

The time has come! Finally my long lost fav. couple reunited again. hehehe

I thought I've started to feel comfortable with the new pairing which is Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won... but I guess I have to be prepared with Jo In Sung and Ha Ji Won again. Can't believe it's been 6 years going to 7 now... Memories of Bali has always one of my fav. drama huhuhu... 

'The King' definitely going to be HUGE! I'm casting my spell now hahaha

Let see what kind of reaction will Hyun Bin show us with the old couple back on screen...

MBC officially released news about the drama “The King“, which is due to be released at the start of next year.

MBC reported that the cast for “The King” isn’t certain and that it was in process. It said this announcement was being made to prevent further confusion.

Certain media outlets reported previously that Jo In-Seong was offered a role but declined, so Ha Ji-won was considered right away.

“The King” is about a South Korean prince and a North Korean princess who have an arranged marriage, and is scheduled to air on every Wednesday and Thursday early next year.

My thoughts on Girl K aka Killer Girl K

As promised before, I'll put my thoughts on this movie when I'm back. And it might be a little bit late, thanks to my busy schedule. But promise is promise... below is a synopsis or whatever you call it, I've quoted from Dramabeans and right after that is my thoughts... a short one of coz :)

"Is it a movie? Is it a drama? I dunno which classification is more apt for a three-part TV movie airing on cable, but in any case cable channel CGV’s Girl K looks pretty badass.

Mixing action and thrills, Girl K is being called the “Korean Nikita,” which automatically piques my interest; I loved the 1990 French movie, the Hollywood adaptation Point of No Return, and the ’90s series with Peta Wilson. I’m actually least familiar with the newest incarnation, the CW series, but I’ll be getting right on that. And now there’s a Korean mini-drama/movie with a similar premise? Count me in.

In the Nikita universe, the heroine is coerced into working as an assassin for a secret organization, essentially blackmailed into being their killer for hire while longing for her freedom. Girl K shares some similarities with that premise, but deviates in some significant ways: It centers around a high school student, Yeon-jin, whose mother is killed before her eyes. Mom had been affiliated with a secret organization, SS1, but upon learning that the chief was planning to use her daughter, she’d run away with Yeon-jin, only to be eliminated.

Afterwards, Yeon-jin vows to hunt down the killer, left to fend for herself with only one helper/Daddy Long Legs figure for moral and material support. To claim her revenge, she joins SS1 and turns herself into one of their killers. All while apparently attending school and dealing with boys with crushes. It’s like all my favorite CW shows, mashed into one.

The movie/show stars newbie Han Groo as the lead character, Yeon-jin, and funny-creepy-scary man Kim Jung-tae (Can’t Lose) as her helper. The 19-year-old Han Groo is a singer who will be making her acting debut with this project, but she did beat out 100 other hopefuls in the audition process and performed most of the action stunts herself, so I have hopes that she’ll be a good fit for the role. (Her background: She learned dance in the U.S. in middle school, and martial arts in high school in China.)

The movie also features another idol star, Kim Dong-joon of ZE:A, a big man on campus who falls for transfer student Yeon-jin at first sight. Park Hyo-joo (Air City) plays an ex-assassin who trains Yeon-jin. Her role is mostly office-bound as she gives orders on missions, but Park stated that she had to work out hard for a pivotal, emotional action sequence near the end.

In addition, the always-fantastic Kim Roi-ha (Comrades) plays Yeon-jin’s enemy, while Baek Do-bin (Queen Seon-deok) plays a hot-blooded detective who lost a colleague to that enemy and is now on a dogged hunt to track down SS1."

So here is my thoughts on this Movie or Drama? whatever...

I'm impressed with Han Groo acting skills, seriously I think she should just continue acting rather than singing. The fact that she looks like Moon Geun Young in Cinderella's Sister did bother me a lot, well not that I don't like it... it just that sometimes I forgot she is Han Groo hahaha...

So did I like this movie/drama?

YES

What I like about it?

The Lead character- Yeon Jin (Han Groo) is strong, good looking and cold hearted. Everything about this character is dark. The fact that she turn into a serial killer just to revenge itself is full of hatred. And the reason why I like her character is because she's always on track... she knows what to do, how to react and when to take control. Instead of looking at her killing instinct, I prefer checking on her strong vibe... as a girl well a woman to be exact, I wish I have that strength on me. 

The action pack- Since I like Yeon Jin character than it will be weird if I don't like the action pack right? hehe~ it was non stop. well of coz it stop kekeke~ ... I like the fact that Han Groo know how to fights. She runs, jumps, hides, punches, kicking and shoots all the time... accept when she's in school. Where will you find someone active like her? 

The crush moment - Love it that the script writer fit in some romantic character in this action pack movie, it will be tiresome if there don't conclude that small character in here. The only way to remind us that Yeon Jin is indeed just a human being is when she have that soft spot on her. A light that shine her dark path... well of coz the light goes off at the end but still it was an awesome moment.

Is there anything at all that I don't like about?

Of coz, there is some naked scenes that I seriously think... if they don't show it the movie will still awesome. Some might think, oh it's okay, that's cool or be open minded... but this is me, and my mind and soul says... it just not right.

Overall, I like this Movie but hate that scenes... :)

Rain Gets Praised by Fellow Military Trainees

Rain has been in the army for several weeks now and he's already being praised by fellow military trainees through some handwritten letters. Pictures of these personal letters and other pictures of Rain in the military were uploaded on an online community website under the caption, “Even in the military, Rain is recording a movie.”

One of these letters stated that, “In order to get a 3-5 minute phone call, you have to get 15 points in one week. However, Rain was the only person who passed 15 points. He is like a nice neighborhood brother, I feel really comfortable around him.”

Another letter mentioned that they had organized a “Soldier's Superstar K” competition and Rain's team managed to win by one point, under the leadership of the star singer.

Netizens praised him by leaving comments as, “Ah, daebak! How can someone looking like that also be that charismatic in his behavior?” “Even in the army he is a world star” “Please come back soon, I will praise you” and “You are a truly good person.”

Rain’s Military Training Photos Released

On November 17, photos of Rain receiving military commendations were leaked through an online café. Rain seems to have lost some weight in the first photo, but still looks healthy as he flashes a smile at the camera in the second picture.

The caption said Rain received an award for the “respect” category, based on his leadership for younger soldiers and high score at the shooting range. It was previously reported that Rain got 19 out of 20 shots on target for weekend training and all 10 shots on target at night shooting.

Netziens who saw the picture commeted, “Rain’s lost so much weight,” “He still looks great,” and “Even the scar on his nose looks sexy.”

On the same day, Rain’s family visited his boot camp base. He will receive another three-week training program before heading to army’s 5th division to serve as an assistant trainer, where he will train new recruits.
