According to the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) Hyun Bin who pass his exam also tested well on the physical exams scoring 29 out of 30 points, he did well enough to rank within top 5 out of 200 candidates.
The date for Hyun Bin's military entrance has not been set as of yet but is highly likely to be March 7.
Hyun Bin will be relieved of his military duties after 21 months, in December 2012, if all goes according to schedule.
His agency commented, “Hyun Bin has been known for his healthy image, and he’s always had a positive image of the Marine Corps, which is what influenced his decision. Ever since he was younger, he’s wanted to apply to a police or military academy.”
