[Fanfic] Noona, I Don't Want To Say Goodbye

Heavy footsteps in the middle of the silence dawn woke Hwang Bo up. She bolted on the couch and narrowed her eyes to see the shadow clearly in the dark. She recognized the disoriented figure who seemed to drag his feet in rushed small steps as Hyun Joong. "Hyun Joong ah.." she called him softly as she did not want to wake up the others who were sleeping on the floor. Hyun Joong was really disoriented. He almost bumped into the wall. Hwang Bo thought he was sleep-walking until she heard he called her name.

"Hwang Buin.." Hyun Joong rubbed his tired eyes. He carefully watched his steps when he walked towards the couch. The crew members were sleeping on the floor. Some were sharing the other room and some were cramping with him. Sometimes he wondered why they needed so many crews ranging from PD to hair stylists to wardrobe manager to everyone else. He did not even recognize half of them. "Ar.. You are still here," he said as he sat next to Hwang Bo.

She thought about Hyun Joong's question as she removed the deeply sleeping Jins to her side. "Are you all right?" asked Hwang Bo. Of course she was still there. Where else would she go at this time in Busan? She did not get any reply for her question.

Hyun Joong took in a deep breath. It was a dream after all. When he had told Hwang Bo he would dream of her, he did not expect he really would. It was not a pleasant dream. He had a nightmare. In his nightmare, Hwang Bo had told him that she wanted to leave him for another man. Hyun Joong sighed lowly. He could not see clearly who that man was but he was 101% sure the other man was one of Hwang Bo's disrespectful dongsaeng who publicly announced on national TV he would like to date or marry Hwang Bo.

Hwang Bo repeated her question, louder this time as she thought he did not hear it when she whispered the first time. To her surprise, Hyun Joong grabbed her hand and led her to the balcony. Although the air outside was cold and the sun was a couple of hour away from rising, she went with him because Hyun Joong, despite being fully awake, was still a bit disoriented.

"Let's talk where we will not wake everyone up." Hyun Joong closed the sliding glass door behind them.

"What is it you want to talk about?" Hwang Bo asked as they both sat on the balcony with their backs against the sliding glass door.

Hyun Joong groaned. Now that he could think clearly, the nightmare seemed immature to be talked about with Hwang Bo. After a long pause, he finally said something. "Noona.. You know I'll be away for the drama, right?" he said, gulping a bit before uttering his next sentence. "Don't look at other guys," he continued sternly.

She laughed out loud, somewhat flailed on the floor. Hwang Bo leaned her back against Hyun Joong as if it was something natural between them. She slightly tilted her head up to glance at Hyun Joong. "Ya!" She started to fire up once she composed herself from all the laughing. "I should be saying that, not you!" Hwang Bo scolded him in fake anger.

Hyun Joong chuckled. His shoulders moved vigorously as Hwang Bo leaned against him. He lifted his arm and naturally put it around Hwang Bo's shoulder. He grinned when Hwang Bo snuggled comfortably in his arms. Their time together was getting shorter. Although the separation will be temporary, he dreaded the time he would not be able to see Hwang Bo in person.

"I'm sorry but.. Can you call me once in a while?" Hwang Bo asked. She was struggling to complete the sentence without pausing between each word. She felt bad asking him to do that as she knew he would be tired and drained out from filming the drama. Even now, when he was busy learning horse riding and playing violin between filming with her, he could barely open his eyes. Hwang Bo gritted her teeth, feeling regretful about her request.

"Call you?" he asked.

Hwang Bo immediately brought her hands together into a huge X and said, "No. No. No. Don't call.."

"Three times a day," Hyun Joong said, cutting short Hwang Bo's sentence.

Her eyes almost popped out when she heard the promise coming from Hyun Joong. She instantaneously shifted to face him. "Really?" Her voice was bursting with excitement.

Hastily, Hyun Joong bobbed his head. "I'll think of Noona three times a day." That promised earned him a hard whack on his shoulder. He initially flinched, trying to block it but later changed his mind. He merely chuckled when he saw Hwang Bo's deadly glare and pouted lips.

"Then.. How many times are you calling me a day?" she insisted to know. She was somewhat frustrated she would not hear his voice on the phone three times a day as she thought he initially promised her.

His forehead wrinkled when he tried to think of a number.

She sighed. "Why do you even have to think about it?" She expected the answer to come out naturally from him. But when he took time to think about it, she has a feeling his answer would not be sincere. It would be force from him to please her. Her second sigh was louder than the previous sigh.

Obviously, Hwang Bo was upset with him. He could tell from her sigh and expression. Hyun Joong did not dare to make promises. He was warned ahead about the busy schedule. He doubted he would have time for luxury meal or leisure sleep. He could not promise Hwang Bo anything. His eyes blinked a few times as he continued to ponder the answer.

Hwang Bo patted Hyun Joong's knee a couple of time to assure him that she was not anticipating anything from him. "It's OK." She gave him a sweet smile.

All the bones in his body turned weak by the mere smile. He returned her smile with a wide grin. "Does Noona like odd number or even number?" he asked, putting up his left and right index fingers respectively.

"Odd number." She lightly touched the tip of his left index with her index finger.

"Arrh.. You are very lucky."

"Why? Why am I lucky?"

"Because I like odd number too. We have so many things in common," he concluded. "So, Noona.. We are already in this relationship. We also have many things in common too. Let's date openly then," he requested. It was the same request he had make to Hwang Bo a couple of time before. Hyun Joong was never granted that request by Hwang Bo.

"Aishee.. Do you like me this much because my aegyo was too cute?" She sighed in frustration. "I already warn you not to." She paused. Her playful tone turned serious suddenly. "You are too young for this. This can wait. We can wait. I can wait."

"I'm not. I don't want to wait."

"Hyun Joong ah, what's your hurry?" she asked, somewhat flabbergasted by his stubbornness. Hyun Joong was not quick enough to answer her before she fired another question. "Why are you so unreasonable? Don't just think about yourself. Think about me!"

Hyun Joong heaved a sigh too. Hwang Bo was so insecure. It was always like this since the beginning. There was nothing he could do or say to convince her that he would protect her at all cost. "I'm going crazy," he said. "If I'm not younger than you, then will it be OK?" He too felt insecure with their relationship. Hwang Bo was well liked by everyone, guys especially. But he had enough faith in her and in their relationship. He wished she would have faith in him too.

Hwang Bo hung her head low. Hyun Joong and she seemed to be conversing in different language. She had told him times and times again that age was never the problem. Since him, she had learned to accept a younger man. She wanted him to explore his idol life and do many things now before thinking deeply about her or their relationship. "Even if I'm 6 years younger than you, we still have to wait. This has got nothing to do with age," Hwang Bo said, exasperated. For a moment, she thought he understood her when she saw Hyun Joong nodded his head with wrinkled forehead, looking very deep in thought.

"If you are 6 years younger than I, you'll be 17 then. We will definitely have to wait for you to finish high school."

Although it was not funny, Hwang Bo laughed out loud when he uttered it. Hyun Joong's harsh tone made him sound like he was scolding a fan girl who had just confessed her love to him. "Hyun Joong ah.." she whined, trying to get him focus on their discussion. "If you are not an idol, then.."

"Actually Noona.. When you are not around, I feel lonely. Really," he emphasized when Hwang Bo raised an eyebrow at him. "What fun is it if there's no one to bully."

She threw her head backward and heaved a heavy sigh of frustration. "Is that what I am too you? Someone to bully? Is that why you make me try all those clothes you hate? And do cute act in my dance?" She sounded like she was about to explode in rage.

Hyun Joong stared at her with blank expression. He had perfected this expression to hide his true feeling. He felt lonely without his Hwang Buin because he missed her. He missed her laughter and the laughs they shared together. "That's not it," he denied. Yet, Hyun Joong still could not speak what was in his heart. "I'm just lonely when you are not around." Then he shrugged, as if it was not important.

Tears came easily to Hwang Bo lately. She would be force by circumstances to separate from him. Although it would do them both good, but she felt heartbroken. She knew Hyun Joong felt the same too.

"Are you crying?" Hyun Joong asked Hwang Bo. Although he asked in a teasing tone, there was a hint of surprise and concern in that tone. He leaned forward, extending his neck to catch a glimpse at her expression.

Hwang Bo denied it forcefully and turned her face sideways to hide from him. "I'm not." She tilted her head a little to force the tears not to fall. She touched underneath her eyes and ran her finger there to clear the traces of tear. "Arrhh.. This place is dusty. We must make complain to the resort management," she said, faking a cheerful voice. She was laughing alone at the joke.

Hyun Joong stared into the space in silence. Or in their infamous married life, it would be called awkwardness. "Hwang Bo shi!" Hyun Joong called her name and smiled at the same time. He pushed her up and stood up himself too. "Hwang Bo shi.. Don't cry. Ahjussi will buy you ice cream, OK? Do you like that?" he asked cheerfully.

Instantaneously, as he expected, she fell on the ground and hid her face on her laps. Hyun Joong grinned and chuckled lightly. The bright smile and the merry laugh had returned. He put his hands on her elbows and helped her up.

"Ice cream? Really?" Hwang Bo asked him. Ice cream in winter did not sound like a bright idea but as long as it meant spending time with Hyun Joong, Hwang Bo would agree to it without any hesitation.

He nodded. Hyun Joong placed his hand on her back and lightly pushed Hwang Bo to walk forward with him. "Take Jins with us," he suggested and tenderly gazed at her, trying to observe her expression. She was genuinely smiling again. The smile that he would be missing. "Noona, there's something I want to do.."

"What is it?"

Hyun Joong smiled shyly. "Close your eyes and don't peek."

She glanced at him suspiciously with narrowed eyes. She gave up and closed her eyes tightly when he insisted it would not happen with her eyes opened.

Hyun Joong took in a deep breath and muttered out he was nervous. It made Hwang Bo laughed and she peeked, making Hyun Joong wagered his index at her in scolding fashion. When Hwang Bo asked him to be quick because she was eager to know what he wanted to do, Hyun Joong pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly.

Hwang Bo was so shocked when Hyun Joong embraced her. Her eyes were wide opened with disbelief. Her jaw dropped. She was too stunned to do anything and in a split second, Hyun Joong let go of her.

It was brief but he managed to smell the scent of her shampoo, to hear her rhythmatic breathing and to feel her heart beat. Still smiling timidly and to some extend, blushing, he told her, "When you feel sad, you will remember that hug and you will smile like now." It would be something for him to hold on to until they met again.

As if that was a cue, a smile formed on Hwang Bo's lips. A coy smile yet filled with bliss. He would wait just like she would. Hwang Bo knew that for sure. What they shared between them was too beautiful to be wasted. She had dated her previous boyfriend in secret for 8 years before. Hwang Bo knew she could do the same with Hyun Joong to protect his budding career. "Let's elope with Jins before the others wake up," she said with a wide smile.

Fanfic HBHJ: Noona, I Will Think About You

She was told to meet up with Hyun Joong outside the Ssangchu Couple's house for their next mission. She knew she was late when she saw Hyun Joong practicing one of his dance routines while the We Got Married crew members busy chatting among themselves. It was as if they had been waiting for quite some time. She had just come back from shooting photo shoots for her Mature music video. She did not even have time to change. Hwang Bo gritted her teeth and smile faintly. Hyun Joong would surely make a fuss about her short skirt. She chuckled as she walked towards the group.

Hyun Joong immediately stopped dancing when he spotted Hwang Bo coming towards them. He danced a lot in between breaks of We Got Married because he felt bad he did not practice with his members when they have practice sessions. He saw how Hwang Bo politely saying hello to everyone and bowing at the same time. She apologized to them for being late. She always created a pleasant and warm atmosphere when she was at the set. Hyun Joong liked that about her.

"Noona, you are not late," Hyun Joong told her after replying Hwang Bo's greeting. "We are waiting for another couple," he explained.

"Really?" asked Hwang Bo, looking surprised. Her eyes dilated at the unexpected news. She turned around, looking for the PD. When the PD mouthed "Ant Couple" to her, she nodded her head, gesturing she understood him. "Orh.." she then said softly.

"Noona, I'm nervous," Hyun Joong told Hwang Bo. He loved to call her all the time. Noona this and Noona that. Even if it was not necessary. Even if was just to start a small conversation. Just as much as he loved to call her Buin this and Buin that while filming.

Hwang Bo frowned, looking at Hyun Joong in confusion. "Why? Why are you nervous? We are filming like usual, right?" Hwang Bo looked around her. She noticed that the camera had not start to roll. Although she was disappointed it would be a mission with another couple, she was glad the other couple was Ant Couple. "You are familiar with Crown J and In Young, right?" she asked, sounding concern about Hyun Joong who was unable to adjust quickly with strangers.

Hyun Joong waved his hands in front of him, gesturing his denial. "No. No. That's not it," Hyun Joong emphasized. "I saw the schedule given by my manager yesterday. It seems that I'll be meeting Noona almost every day for filming after this."

Hwang Bo was silent for a few seconds, thinking about the schedule she received a few days ago. They would have filming one day after another. She was told it was to make up for the time Hyun Joong would not be around filming for his debut drama. "Arh.. So you are nervous about that? But.." Hwang Bo looked upset when she realized she was the reason for Hyun Joong being nervous. "I thought we are not awkward now?"

"No, not awkward. Nervous. Nervous," Hyun Joong clarified. Although he was ecstatic with the schedule, he realized cramping the filming such as this meant only one thing he would not be able to see Hwang Bo for a long time. That was the reason why he was nervous. Filming We Got Married with Hwang Bo was something he really looked forward to. It would be weird not seeing her in the future.

At that moment, a bus slowed down from far and looked like it was about to pull over at where they were waiting. The PD shouted at everyone to get in the bus. "Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo get in first! Crew members, please avoid the camera," the PD reminded his crew. The space inside the bus was smaller than when the crew worked in the couples' house or public places. Thus avoiding being film with the cast was easy before. It would be a hard task now since there was nowhere to hide in a bus except maybe behind the seats.

Hyun Joong sighed. There were more things he wanted to say to Hwang Bo before filming started. However, there were too many people around them. Hyun Joong warily glanced behind them. He absentmindedly, grasped onto Hwang Bo's elbow, nudging her to move a few paces away from the crew.

Hwang Bo was taken by surprise with the nudge. She looked at Hyun Joong's hand on her elbow. Then she tilted her head up to stare at him. She followed at where his gaze was. He was staring at the crew. "Hyun Joong ah.." Hwang Bo managed to say that after overcoming her surprise.

Hyun Joong turned towards Hwang Bo upon hearing his name being called. "Hhmm?" he asked. He then realised what he did. "I.." he blushed a bit, rearranging his hair with his index finger. "Noona, I have something to say."

"Actually, Hyun Joong ah.. Noona also have something to say."

Immediately, Hyung Joong exclaimed, "Rock, paper, scissor!" And Hwang Bo spontaneously responded to it. Rock versus scissor, Hyun Joong won over Hwang Bo. "I'll say it first," Hyun Joong immediately said, feeling both excited and nervous. "Noona, you are my style. I like it that you are my style."

Hwang Bo flinched. Her forehead wrinkled. She tilted her head to glance at Hyun Joong. She bit her lower lip. She could not read Hyun Joong's expression. What he could possible mean by she was his style? Hwang Bo could hear her own hear beats at that particular moment.

"We will both be very busy in the future," Hyun Joong carefully continued to say. He glanced sideways and hid his smile when noticing Hwang Bo's expression. She must be very startled when he had said she was his style. "Noona, even now you are running here and there for performances in between filming," Hyun Joong pointed out with a sad tone. He noticed the short skirt. She was all dressed up. He was told she was filming her music video today. She was all smiles but he noticed tiredness in her eyes.

Upon hearing the tone, Hwang Bo smile shyly. She tilted her head again, trying to steal a glance at Hyun Joong's expression again. "Let's do a bet. In the future, when we are busy.." she paused for a while as if thinking. "Whoever calls first, will cook dinner for the other person. Agree?"

"Why?" His forehead wrinkled like elephant skin. He looked a bit lost too. "Why this bet? Noona, of course I will call you first. I'll be happy to cook dinner for you. You will not call me first because you don't want to cook dinner for me?"

"Hyun Joong ah.. Since we will both be very busy.." Hwang Bo let her sentence trailed, leaving Hyun Joong anticipated the reason. "We'll not have time to think about the other person.."

"No. I will have time to think about you."

Hyun Joong's prompt denial put a wide smile on Hwang Bo's face. She pretended not to hear him. "The one who thinks about the other person first must be the least busy one. That person can then spend time cooking dinner."

Although Hyun Joong had a blank look on his face, he nodded his head at Hwang Bo's explanation. "I hope you will not forget to.. Remember me in the future," replied Hyun Joong

Hwang Bo sighed. "I thought we both said 'Saranghae?' We both decided to stay? Why are we discussing this?" She sounded unhappy at the direction of the conversation.

"I'm preparing for when the hard time comes," he replied, jokingly. "Noona, I also have something else to say." Hyun Joong put his hands on his chest. He was feeling very nervous. "Aish! Noona, I'm going crazy."

"Why? What did I do?"

"Noona, please count for me," he requested.

Hwang Bo threw her head backward and almost fell on her knees, laughing at him. The things he wanted to tell her seemed to make him really nervous. "1, 2, 3!"

"Noona, I like you. I think, I even.. Aish!! Noona, saranghae." As quick as he said that, he added. "Argh! It's so embarrassing to say this." He glanced behind him. He still looked wary about the crew behind them. "But I have to ascertain what I said in the private interview to you."

Hwang Bo had expected him to tell her not to forget to take care of herself thus she was surprise. If she was not as embarrassed as Hyun Joong she would have teased him and asked, "What's so embarrassing about telling someone you love her?" But her face was as red as a tomato when she heard him.

"Hyun Joong! Hwang Bo!"

Both of them turned around at the same time towards the PD.

The PD gestured them to get ready as the bus pulled over and stopped by the roadside. A few crew members started to run towards them to start filming.

"Noona, don't forget what I told you," Hyun Joong reminded Hwang Bo in low tone just before the crew reached them. As they walked towards the awaiting bus, Hyun Joong tried to steal a glance at Hwang Bo. She was all smiling, touching her cheek at one point. Hyun Joong too, smiled; feeling satisfied he managed to put a smile on Hwang Bo's face with his little confession.

Fanfic HBHJ: Buin, You Make Me Blissfully Happy

"I'm hurt when you rejected me on national TV."

Hwang Bo was startled to hear someone suddenly spoke to her left ear. She looked up to her side. She almost jumped again when she was directly face to face with Marco who was bending down looking at her. Hwang Bo leaned back to put a distance between her and Marco.

Marco smiled at the shocked expression on Hwang Bo's face. "Are you afraid to be caught with me by your Shillang?" he asked, grinning. He upright himself and gave his hand to Hwang Bo.

Hwang Bo pretended not to see his hand. Slowly, she got on her feet and dusted off the sand on her pants. She returned Marco's smile. "Shillang will pretend he doesn't know about this," said Hwang Bo. Her unique 4D Shillang was unpredictable. "Why are you here?" she asked, looking around. Hyun Joong would come soon. They promised to meet at the beach after everyone went to bed. It was almost midnight hence she was surprised to see Marco at the beach. How did he know she would be here?

Marco shrugged. "I saw your silhouette on the beach and thought you might need a company." He stared at her, trying to look at her eyes.

She looked around again, looking for Hyun Joong. He was late. Hwang Bo pouted. As much as she enjoyed Marco's company, she was a bit nervous being alone with him on the beach. Especially when she was supposed to meet Hyun Joong here. "What?" she asked, still keeping her gaze towards the house beach, anticipating Hyun Joong to appear from there. "You knew it's me?" She frowned.

Seeing Hwang Bo was on a look, Marco imitated her. "You are waiting for someone, right? Hyun Joong?" he asked, feeling jealous. He had a crush on Hwang Bo since working together with her in a program a few years back. Since she had a boyfriend at that time, he never approached her. When he knew she had broken up with her boyfriend, she was already in We Got Married, married to Hyun Joong. Seeing her caring for Hyun Joong in the show, he felt a jolt of jealousy. He did ask her to go steady with him but she had told him she could not date while participating in the program. "You like him, don't you? I was expecting.." He paused for a while. "I'm so thrill to be offered to star in the program because you are in it too. I thought it's a good opportunity to get close to you."

Hwang Bo laughed. "Yes, but I'm Hyun Joong's Buin. You know what the program is about, right?"

"Yes." Marco nodded. "But at least, when we have mission like this, I can see you. We'll be in the studio together too, right?"

She had known Marco for years now. She knew how persistent Marco was. Hwang Bo chuckled. "Ya! Marco! You are married to Son Dam Bi. Why are you still chasing after me? Didn't my Shillang say he like you?" Hwang Bo teased him. She boxed his shoulder playfully. "Do you want to be in trouble with him?" Marco was a nice person but to Hwang Bo, he was a friend. She could not see him as more than that.

Marco winked at her. "I've been watching you. You do like him, don't you? A lot."

Hwang Bo laughed. She might have blushed but it was dark. She doubted Marco could see it. "Hyun Joong is nervous around strangers. He takes time to adjust to them. Don't push yourself to him too much, OK?" She waggled her finger at Marco, playfully warning him. "He felt burden by you."

He knew it. He was devastated. There was indeed something going on between Hwang Bo and Hyun Joong. "So.. He told you things like this. You really care about him. You do like him," he concluded, answering his own question. It looked like he had lost his chance. If only he knew about the break up before Hwang Bo joined the program, there would be a possibility for Hwang Bo and him. Marco heaved a sigh of frustration.

Hwang Bo hugged herself and hopped on the sand to keep herself warm. The sea breeze at night was colder than during the day. She glanced to her side. Hyun Joong better came soon or else, she would be very upset. Marco left the beach a while ago and she was alone again. "Arh.. I'm going crazy. When is he coming?" she asked herself out loud.

"Me?"

She was suddenly down on her knees with one hand on her forehead. "Omo! Omo!" she screamed, trying to stand straight again. "You frighten me!" she accused Hyun Joong as she turned around to face him. Why did everyone have to sneak up on her like that?

Hyun Joong gave her a warm smile. He extended his hand towards her, grabbing her wrist and pulled her down to sit on the sand with him. Hyun Joong pulled his legs up and rested his elbows on his knees. Hwang Bo curled herself into a ball, hugging her knees closer to her chest. "Buin.." Hyun Joong called Hwang Bo, sounding upset. "I saw Marco Hyung coming from the beach just now."

Hwang Bo leaned backward as she laughed. She did not expect their meeting to start with that question. "You saw him?" As Hyun Joong bobbed his head to answer her, she asked again, "Why? Is this another jealous moment I should be happy about?" She had told Marco that Hyun Joong would pretend he did not know yet she was concern he would feel bothered about it. He definitely did.

He lowered his head, randomly touching his hair to hide his embarrassment. His Buin seemed to be friendly with a lot of people. It was her nature to embrace people with kindness. It was natural for people around her to fall in love with her warmness. In fact, Hyun Joong was one of those people. He was proud that Hwang Bo was this kind of person. "Yes," he answered briefly.

Hwang Bo's eyes dilated with disbelief. "Yes? Yes for what?" she asked, seeking for a definite answer.

"How could you ask? Of course I'm jealous. You are my Buin."

Hwang Bo laughed again. That tone. He was using the same tone he used on her when he scolded her at the farm. "Who are you getting married with? Who are you marrying again? Who?" He had asked her those questions at the farm. "When we went to the farm.. You said 'If I ever get married'.. I was upset then," he had confessed to her when they were painting their Ssangchu Olympic vest at home. Hearing this tone again, Hwang Bo knew he was upset again. "Shillang, I'm sorry," she said. Although she had laughed at him before but she knew how he felt.

Hyun Joong smiled. "He's the model who asked you out, right?" He paused. "Marco Hyung is a nice person. Should I be worry about him?" His forehead wrinkled. He looked straight as if the matter needed a deep thinking.

The serious expression on Hyun Joong's face prompted a laugh from Hwang Bo. "Hyun Joong ah, don't you know how I feel?" When Marco had asked her to date him, she had slipped that out to Hyung Joong during one of the filmings.

"He's a model," Hwang Bo had explained to him when Hyun Joong seemed to be a bit confused. "He called me up and asked to meet. I did. I thought it was just a friendly lunch outing with a friend. But before we parted, he asked me to date him."

Hyun Joong had listened attentively when she explained that to him. He was quiet and had a serious expression on his face. That was why Hwang Bo was taken aback when he said, "I know who Marco is. I don't know why you tell me this." He sounded cold and distant when he had uttered those words to her. "Buin," Hyun Joong said after a slight silence. "Between a singer and a model, who do you like most?"

Hwang Bo blinked her eyes a few times, trying to grasp the question.

"Between a singer and a model, who do you like most?" Hyun Joong had repeated his question. "Marco is a model and I'm a singer," he said, putting both hands on his chest. "Me? Or Marco Hyung?"

"Are you.." Hwang Bo frowned. She tilted her head to a side to look at Hyun Joong. She was doubtful. Hyun Joong loved to tease her. Although he might look and sound serious, he might also be pulling her leg at the same time. She laughed, clapping her hands too. "You are joking with me. For a while there I thought you want to ask me out too." Hwang Bo chuckled between her words.

Hyun Joong pondered for a while. He glanced towards Hwang Bo. "But I am." There and then, Hyun Joong had suggested to her they should go out for real, not just get married for the show. "You never really give me an answer," Hyun Joong told Hwang Bo, glancing at her on his side. His finger randomly moved on the sand.

"But you know how I feel, right?" Hwang Bo insisted. Comparing between Hyun Joong and her, she was actually more shy than Hyun Joong. Hyun Joong had blushed when he suggested they date. Hwang Bo had blushed because she could not answer him. However she did, in her own way, hinted to him she shared his feeling.

Of course Hyun Joong knew how Hwang Bo felt about him. Honestly he wanted to hear it from her. He knew Hwang Bo was shy to say it out loud. One day, he knew she would. He anticipated that day. "We better go back. In Young Noona will be looking for you." Hyun Joong looked at his wristwatch. He was late because he could not find the excuse to leave the beach house. Crown J was explaining the plan for tomorrow in detail to him until he fell asleep by himself.

Despite what Crown J said earlier about the couple sharing one room, Hwang Bo actually shared the room with In Young. Crown J and Hyun Joong took the sofa outside. Crown J meant it as a joke. Just as he joked about the fee. "In Young will not bother. I told I had diarrhea after the BBQ," said Hwang Bo, vaguely smiled.

Hyun Joong grinned. He loved all the little chats they had together. When other people seemed to define a relationship on a bigger scale  flowers, gifts, dinners, vacations and other they defined theirs with small and sometimes meaningless chat. "Crown J Hyung snored until the whole resort can hear him when I left. He'll not notice I'm gone. I think we should stay longer. What do you think?"

Instead of answering him, she threw her hands up and slowly let herself fell on the beach. She laid down like that for a while. Then she lifted her head a bit to talk to Hyun Joong. "The new brides have the largest bed. In Young and I shared the other bed. All the grooms are sleeping on the sofa." She paused. "The Ssangchu couple has the whole beach to themselves."

Hyun Joong chortled. His eyes lightened with amusement. "Arh.. You have become like me now," he casually told Hwang Bo. He laid down next to her.

"Like what?" Hwang Bo bit her lips, peeking at him.

"Funny."

Hwang Bo laughed. She placed both hands on her forehead and ran them down her face. She had been with him for five months now. She too felt she had becoming more and more like him. It was something she truly loved. "I like it too. I like you." She muttered the last sentence. She herself barely heard it.

Hyun Joong bolted upright from where he was lying down. He looked at Hwang Bo with widened eyes. "What did you say?" he asked, fearing that he had misheard her.

"Arh! Why do want to make me repeat it again?" she sighed, feeling annoyed. She lowered her head, hiding her pout and her blush from Hyun Joong's view.

Hyun Joong laughed. He felt slightly giddy. He heard it. Hwang Bo said it to him.

When he laughed like that, Hwang Bo wanted to tell him that he had becoming more like her too. Before she could say it, Hyun Joong suddenly gripped her wrist and pulled her up. "Buin! Let's celebrate with firework!" he said, sounding excited like a kid with ice cream. He did not mind Hwang Bo slapping his knees. He heard Hwang Bo telling him that she liked him. He was too blissfully happy.

Fanfic HBHJ: Shillang, Please Stay Married To Me

* I wish I can update the fanfic more... geez I have a lot of things on mind now... but I'll definitely trying my best to update this more...  죄송합니다  :(

After they wrapped up the filming of Couple's Farewell Vacation mission, Hyun Joong left the house he shared with Hwang Bo in silent. Ever since they opened the mission envelope, he was in daze. The divorce came unexpected to them.

There were many things he has not done for Hwang Bo yet. Although he would randomly said things to her and most people would take it as a joke due to his 4D personality, but he always meant what he said.

Hwang Bo was annoyed when he left her alone to fold his first paper crane before he left to work in Japan. He told her 1000 paper cranes symbolized a true love that would be forever. He worked hard for the five paper cranes gift he prepared for her at the beach when they went for vacation with Alex and Shin Ae. He worked harder to fill up his guitar case with more paper crane for Hwang Bo's birthday. Of course, his members had offered to help him with it.

He did not mean to break his promise playing Bogoshipda on the piano for her. He just did not expect Hwang Bo would finish knitting his scarf so quickly. In fact, he was secretly learning the piano score ever since he received the scarf. He was learning it at a very slow pace due to his hectic schedule. Nevertheless, he made that promise and he would definitely play the song on piano for Hwang Bo no matter how long it would take him to learn.

But after today's mission filming, Hyun Joong realised he did not have all the time he needed to learn the piano score.

Hyun Joong heaved a sigh of frustration when he recalled more promises he had not fulfil for Hwang Bo. The Japanese dish he promised to learn for Hwang Bo. The ring inside the side dish she mentioned during their honeymoon BBQ in Jeju Island. It was brought up again when they drank soju at their home just now.

He went to bed that night regretting the time they did not spend together, the thing they did not do together, the word he did not say to her.

The PD had told the couples not to speak to each other before they filmed the private interview. Hyun Joong however quietly moved towards Hwang Bo just before she entered the black room. "Noona," he called her softly. "Sorry."

Hwang Bo stared at him with confusion written all over her face.

Hyun Joong shyly touched the bridge of his nose. He managed to give Hwang Bo a weak smile. "I didn't do a lot of things I promised you. Sorry."

The air surrounding them was so gloomy. Hwang Bo could feel the regret in Hyun Joong's voice. She smiled and patted his arms. "It's OK." In any other circumstances, Hwang Bo would say something else to cheer him up. But at this moment, she could not even cheer herself up, let alone cheering Hyun Joong. Before Hyun Joong could see the sad expression on her face, Hwang Bo hastily stepped into the black room.

Since she got married to her little groom, Hyun Joong, Hwang Bo felt blessed. She could not speak for Hyun Joong's behalf. She did not know whether he also felt blessed as her. She knew she was. Her fan base had grown. She received love from Hyun Joong's fan too. The marriage helped her in promoting her singles with interviews and performances. She had the chance to experience love again. The marriage, as fake as it was, brought happiness to her. She was devastated it had to end.

She thought the interview had ended. Then the PD suddenly told her, "We will give the Ssangchu couple one more chance. After the last mission, if you feel you still want to stay married to Hyun Joong, just say 'I love you'. If you want to leave, say 'I'm sorry.' It's your choice. And Hyun Joong's too."

Hwang Bo was stunned. It took her a few eye blinks to understand what the PD told her. She played with her hair and tilted her head backward in disbelief. "Arh.." she sighed. "This is ridiculous." She started to rub her neck against her palm. This was too much. Playing with her emotion like this was too much for her to take. After saying goodbye to Hyun Joong and enduring the sorrow of the parting, suddenly she was told she could choose to stay married to Hyun Joong. "I love him," she muttered it lowly. She wanted to stay married to her little groom.

"What do you think Hyun Joong's answer will be?" the PD asked her.

"Looking at him today, I hope that he has the same feeling as me," she answered, pausing a little because she was not convinced Hyun Joong would give the same answer. She smiled anyway, trying to look confident. She prayed hard Hyun Joong's answer would be the same as hers. However she has no confidence he would want to stay.

"What do you think Hwang Bo's answer will be?" the PD asked him.

"Hwang Buin?" he asked. Then he smiled, moving around on his seat the way he often observed Hwang Bo did. "I think she'll say 'I love him' like this," he said, imitating Hwang Bo when she mumbled. His smile widened. "I know, she's someone like me. I'm 100% sure." It was hard to believe the farewell mission was not really a farewell. He was ecstatic about the thought of seeing her again.

"Are you very certain? What if she said 'I'm sorry?' She did her interview before you so I already knew her answer," said the PD, trying to fish a reaction from Hyun Joong.

As the PD asked him the question, Hyun Joong started to list down into priority which promise he would materialize for his Hwang Buin first. "The moment she says 'I'm sorry' I'll leave the studio, kicking," he honestly answered with a chuckle at the end.

"What is your answer then? Is it 'I love you' or 'I'm sorry?' What are you going to tell Hwang Bo?"

Hyun Joong was still grinning when he answered, "Honestly, I've never even said this twenty times since birth. When I was a child or at kindergarten, I'd say it when I was told to." He looked down, playing with his fingers, after making that confession. "So all I need to do is just say 'I love her'?" he asked the PD for clarification. He paused briefly when the PD nodded his head. "Yes. I love her," he added, smiling shyly at the confession.

Fanfic HBHJ: Buin, Let's Take Care Of Each Other Well

When he had softly whispered her to come over to his place, Hwang Bo remembered feeling taken aback by the invitation. It was right after they wrapped up filming the studio recording for Couple's Farewell Vacation mission or What The Couple Want To Do Together mission as they renamed it. The production crews were making a lot of noises while packing. The studio guests were also making a lot of noises when they left. Hwang Bo thought she had heard him wrong. That was why when 'GulJo' had called her on the weekend after that, she was shocked.

"Hwang Bo Noona, annyong. It's me, Hyun Joong."

"Arh.. GulJo?" she had joked about it only to be greeted by a long silence from the other end. "Hyun Joong ah?"

"Noona, why aren't you here yet?" he had asked, sounding both disappointed and hurt.

"Where?"

"What do you mean where? Have you forgotten?"

Hyun Joong sounded like he was scolding her but she could hear his smile from her end. Yes, his smile. She heard it. After living together with him for We Got Married, she recognized his voice when he spoke with a smile or a sigh when she heard it. "Forgotten what?" Then she heard Hyun Joong's sigh when he reminded her of his invitation.

"It's today. Two hours ago."

She had apologized to him, explained to him why she was not there two hours earlier and rushed to change her clothes. About half an hour after that, here she was, sitting in Hyun Joong's living room, smiling at the fact that he did not forget his promise to talk to her casually. He was doing it with ease both on the phone and now.

This was the first time they interacted out of the filming and its location thus he should feel nervous about it. However, he did not. It surprised him. In fact he felt very comfortable being with Hwang Bo. Alone. No camera or crew watching them. "Noona, about the wedding you attended today.." Hyun Joong started only to have Hwang Bo cut short his sentence.

"Son Tae Young's wedding?" asked Hwang Bo, surprised. Up until this moment, she still did not know why Hyun Joong invited her to his place. If he did that just to talk about Son Tae Young and Kwon Sang Woo couple's wedding.. Really, this would drive her crazy. But he could not have decided to talk about the wedding since a week ago, right? She never told him she was attending the wedding. Hyun Joong really was driving her crazy.

Hyun Joong's reply was a short, "Hmm.." He tucked his hair behind his ears. He kept his gaze straight. He was not nervous but for a person with so little word like him, chatting could be a difficult task. More over what he was about to tell Hwang Bo might turned his life 360 degree. That made chatting even more difficult.

Frankly, she could be a bit annoyed now because she still could not guess where the conversation was heading. "What's with it?" she asked, sounding and looking as if she did not care.

"Your dress.." His sentence was cut short again. This time it was because Hwang Bo was throwing a fit of laughter.

"Why? It's not too revealing, right? Arh! Is it too short?" Even though Hyun Joong took his own sweet time to explain his intention of inviting her to his place, Hyun Joong's concern about her clothing outside filming was worth the laugh. It was hard to believe Hyun Joong's conservativeness was real and not just meant for the show. A 22 years old hot looking young idol just did not equal to conservativeness.

"Hmm.." Hyun Joong thought Hwang Bo's dress for the wedding was too short. It revealed too much of her legs.

She patted Hyun Joong's arms while telling him, "Shillang, I can't live like this.." in a teasing tone.

"No.. No.." Hyun Joong's hands were flying all over the place to deny Hwang Bo's accusation. He was not controlling the way Hwang Bo dressed. "No Noona, no.. Although I prefer the girl I like to cover up.." Realising he was revealing too much in that short sentence, Hyun Joong abruptly thought of something else to say before Hwang Bo noticed it. "I mean.."

Hwang Bo laughed when she saw Hyun Joong was in a panic, trying to explain himself to her. "I'm just joking. I really appreciate your concern," she sincerely told him, patting his arms again to assure him.

Hyun Joong pushed his hair aside. He lowered his head. He was relief Hwang Bo did not heard him. "I mean.. It shows you knees and all.." He left his sentence to trail again. "The scar."

Hwang Bo turned to a side to hide her smile. Now, it became clear to her why Hyun Joong brought up about the wedding and the short dress. "Orh.. You are still concern about the scar."

"Hmm.. Buin, I'm so sorry. I really want to win the marathon so that you can see my handsome side. I don't know I'm too rough on you." Hyun Joong did not realised he was comfortably exchanging between Noona and Buin as he talked with Hwang Bo. It came naturally to him. It was hard to separate between filming and real life because he felt the same about her in both situations.

"You already apologized. And I already accepted your band aid. It's nothing."

Hyun Joong grinned, happily. "Even after that, I still feel guilty. To make up for that.. I'll make Buin a Japanese dish. The one I said I'll learn while I'm in Japan."

Hwang Bo was lost for word. It never ceased to amaze Hwang Bo how Hyun Joong always remember all the tiny details others tend not to."Orh! That one. I thought you don't remember it."

"Buin, you just wait here, I'll go and prepare the dish. You can read my manhwa or play video game."

Hwang Bo's smile was wide and bright. "Shillang, is this why you invited me to your place? Is this you intention?"

He nodded. "Yes. I wanted to cook it for you during the show but since I changed my mind about letting you win the marathon, I can't do it," explained Hyun Joong.

"Arh!" Hwang Bo finally understood it. She laughed her heart out, clapping her hands as she did so. "You should have told me earlier so I'll no wonder. When a guy asked a girl to come to his place, she should be suspicious of his intention." Hwang Bo's hands were making gesture here and there as she explained this to Hyun Joong. She was very relieved. She heaved a sigh.

For a moment there, Hyun Joong thought she was panicking. Her hand movement, her facial expression and her tone seemed to tell him she was in a panic. "If that's so.. Why did you come anyway?" he teased her.

Hwang Bo hung her head low. "Do you want me to leave now?" she threatened him, getting ready to leave the sofa.

"No, Buin. Don't." Hyun Joong grabbed on Hwang Bo's wrist before she got up the sofa. He gestured her to stay where she was. Then he got up to head towards the kitchen. "But.. Next time, when a guy asks you to come over to his place, don't come over," he said with a warning tone as he disappeared into the kitchen.

Hwang Bo's jaw dropped when she heard that. First he had said, he preferred the girl he liked to cover up. Then he had warned her about accepting other guy's invitation. Was cooking Japanese dish to apologize for her scar Hyun Joong's genuine intention? Hwang Bo's heart skipped a few beats. She must be crazy to think he has other hidden intention. Hwang Bo sighed. She must stay sane and should not let her heart ruled her head.

Hyun Joong glanced behind him, trying to look at Hwang Bo's expression. This was something hard to do by his standard. It was even harder than showing her the cute expression at the farm. Or receiving the kiss on the cheek from her. He was about the reveal his feeling for her. He did not how to do it. Not with word because he did not know how to express himself. Not with action because he did not like cheesy thing. He wished he could use a middle person to tell her that he liked her although it would look like a school child doing.

Hwang Bo stretched her neck towards the kitchen. Hyun Joong was silently working alone in the kitchen for a full 15 minutes now. Was he doing OK? Hwang Bo wondered. "Hyun Joong ah.."

"Don't come here!"

The order was shouted sternly as an impromptu respond to Hwang Bo calling his name. Hyun Joong looked over his shoulder with caution. This Japanese dish was so hard to learn. He was the type of person who cooked simple dishes. Even his cooking style was simple. He would throw everything into the pan at the same time and stir until the dish was cooked. But miso soup came with specific cooking instruction. Hyun Joong could hear Hwang Bo's laughter. She was muttering something inaudible to him. He was glad she decided not to check on him.

Hwang Bo waited. She has no clue what he was preparing for her. The hype with anticipation drove her crazy. Just as she was about to check on Hyun Joong, he came out carrying a tray on his hands. Two bowls, two pair of chopsticks and two cup of yellowish orange drink. Hwang Bo clutched her hands excitedly as her eyes followed Hyun Joong's movement. "Is this it? Is this the Japanese dish you prepared for me?" She sounded giddy.

"Please have a taste, Noona," he said, gesturing at the dish he served. "This is miso soup," he said, pointing at the bowl. "This juice is.. Arh.. I don't know what juice is this."

"The color looks funny," Hwang Bo told him. Her forehead wrinkled. "Why don't you try it first?" she naughtily suggested with an equally naughty grin.

Hyun Joong sipped the drink. The moment he tasted it, his facial expression changed dramatically. He however gulped down the whole cup hurriedly until he almost chocked before putting the cup down on the table. He actually slammed down the cup. "Argh!" he groaned. Hyun Joong smacked the back of his head a few times as he grimaced, looking like he was in pain. "That is too bitter. What is it?" he asked, still making faces. The bitterness seemed to linger on his tongue.

Hwang Bo observed him with a loud laugh. She slapped the table a few times. He was too cute when he smacked himself. Her hearts skipped a few beats again.

He had bought the juice because the store owner told him it was a homemade juice. In his excitement, he forgot to ask what juice it was. "Don't drink this," he said, pushing his cup away to a far corner. Then he grabbed the cup in front of Hwang Bo and pushed it to the same corner. "Buin, please help yourself." Hyun Joong gestured at his miso soup, asking Hwang Bo to have a taste at it. The soup that he prepared to express his feeling for her. He anticipated her to be touch by his intention and action.

Hwang Bo looked at the dish suspiciously. After staring at the bowl for a very long minute, she looked up at Hyun Joong. "Is this.." she slightly paused. "..edible?" she asked, sincerely.

"Arh.. So it's like that." Hyun Joong finally understood why Hwang Bo took time to taste the dish he prepared. "Buin, you ate ramen I cook during the Jeju Island honeymoon. And the one we cooked together in Japan. I also made bibimbap when I lost pepper picking bet at the farm, remember?" Hyun Joong reminded Hwang Bo, counting the times he prepared food for her with his fingers. Three times. Three fingers stick out for Hwang Bo. "All of them tasted good, right?"

Hwang Bo bit her lower lip. She still looked doubtful of the dish.

"Let me taste it first," Hyun Joong offered. He immediately took a pair of chopstick and picked a piece of tofu between the chopsticks. "I'm eating it now," he said. "Look very delicious. Hhhmm.." He made sound to convince Hwang Bo, eyeing her at the same time. Then he sipped the soup from the bowl, making the same sound again.

Hwang Bo laughed. "Why do I feel like you are a mother trying to convince a child to eat her medicine?" she asked. "How is it?" Hwang Bo asked, curiously.

Hyun Joong's smile showed his satisfaction. "Arh.. I'm indeed a very good cook," he said with a wide smile. Hyun Joong picked another piece of tofu and shoved it towards Hwang Bo. He gestured her to take a bite.

Hwang Bo did. It indeed was delicious. She tilted her head as she spoke to him. "How do you know how to make miso soup?" Just like she expected, Hyun Joong answered, "I look up the recipe from the internet. I memorized it in my head. It's good, isn't it?" The internet again. She smiled. Hwang Bo bobbed her head slightly to agree with him while keeping her gaze lowered. He learned the dish for her. She would be made of brick and stone of she was not touch by his effort and sincerity.

"Do you know there's also instant miso soup? I didn't buy instant packet. I made this myself." Hyun Joong proudly announced to Hwang Bo. His facial expression was full of delight. "With all my strength. I only cook for someone I like." The last sentence was intentionally added as a hint to her.

Hwang Bo held on to the side of the table for support. She was wobbling on her seat as she was laughing too much. One hand was covering her mouth so that she would not spit out the tofu in her mouth. "Cooking isn't that hard that you need to use strength!" she finally managed to say it out after calming herself down.

Hyun Joong was quiet. It was as if he was thinking of a clever retort for Hwang Bo's word. Did Hwang Bo hear him? "It is hard when you put a lot of sincerity and feeling in it. Does this mean, Buin.. When you cook for me, you are not sincere? You don't put your feeling in it?"

That was such a smart retort that Hwang Bo could help but admire his cheekiness. She almost rolled her eyes at him. She glared instead when he dared to suggest just because cooking was easy for her, she was not sincere preparing it for him. "Then Shillang, you should practice cooking more." She threw her head backward. "I don't know whether I'm tearing up because you cook for me or because you don't know how I feel when I cook for you." She breathed in deeply, trying to reverse the flow of her tears. Then she ran her index fingers below her eyes. "Arh.. You really are something to be able to do this to me."

Without realizing it, Hyun Joong nodded his to agree with her. "Buin should put more feeling in your cooking too." That earned him a smack on his arms from the unhappy Hwang Bo. He smiled. He did not even block her hits. He just let her hit him. His expression turned serious in a sudden. "Buin can also depend on me for anything." Hyun Joong paused. "Not just for medicine." The last sentence was added with a firm tone to emphasize his sincerity. After their latest mission, Hyun Joong knew for sure how he felt and what he wanted from the fake marriage with Hwang Bo. He was stunned why he did not realize this before. There were times he felt something was happening but he never thought his feeling was this strong. He never thought he liked Hwang Bo so much until the farewell mission. The thought of not being able to live with her again, put him in daze.

She knew how Hyun Joong felt. He did put a lot of effort in preparing the miso soup for her. She could feel his sincerity and feeling in that effort. "And Shillang.." Hwang Bo's chuckle led to laughter. "Shillang.." She tried to get her sentence squeezed between her laughter. "Shillang can come to me whenever you need me to open bottle with spoon." Borrowing Hyun Joong's word during the high jump competition they had last week, she was blissfully happy Hyun Joong cooked for her. He did say he only cooked for someone he liked, right?

"Anytime?" asked Hyun Joong with a smile.

"Anytime."

It was a weird vow exchange but both Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo understood the deeper meaning of what they were telling each other even though it was not said directly. Even after they ceased working with We Got Married which they eventually would Hyun Joong had no doubt they could start something from what they shared in the last five months. "Buin, thank you for staying with me in the show," Hyun Joong mumbled his thank you shyly.

"Thank to you too," she replied, equally shy. They would see each other again in a couple of day for filming. Hwang Bo knew the feeling would be different. It started to feel different in the last few filming but the next filming would be different too because Hyun Joong affirmed his feeling towards her. She too indirectly had let him know her feeling for him that she had been keeping in her heart all this time.

Staring at Hwang Bo cheekily, Hyun Joong playfully waved his index finger at her. "And Buin, remember that you are married to me. When you attend any wedding in the future, you can't catch the bouquet, understand?"
