Heechul and Leeteuk to Enlist in the Army by Next Year

On August 4th, at the Press Conference held by Super Junior members at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Nonhyun-dong, Seoul, Leeteuk commented about doing his military service after finishing all the promotions for Super Junior's fifth album.

Besides, he also talked about making a world tour for their 5th album promotions: "We’re planning to run promotions for as long as possible with this album. But because of my military duty, this time we’re thinking of a world tour instead of an Asian tour".

As we all know, Heechul and Leeteuk are 28 years old respectively and according to the military service laws, they both have to enlist by the time they turn 29. A representative confirmed and declared: "They haven't decided anything yet about joining the army, but regarding their age, they will have to enlist by next year".

So it seems that Mr. Simple might be the last album for Super Junior before they start joining into the army.

Super Junior Shindong Stirs Speculation About Marriage

Super Junior member Shindong has stirred speculation that he may soon get married to his girlfriend.

While talking about a conversation he had with top Korean actor Jung Woo-sung, Shindong said on yesterday's episode of SBS variety show "Steel Heart" that Jung had told him he wants to attend Shindong's wedding.

"He said that he really wants to be at my wedding and that he hopes it's on a day that doesn't conflict with his schedule," the singer remarked.

Host Kang Ho-dong asked if that means the date of his nuptials will be anytime soon, to which the boy band member replied, "Coming soon."

In May, the singer had taken the public by surprise when he proposed to his girlfriend through a secret code in their fourth full-length album "BONAMANA." "Nari, let's get married, I'm proposing to you, I'll love you, forever," the code read.

He then proposed to his girlfriend on national television, saying "The one thing I most realized since meeting you is that my heart aches when you are not with me. I felt that I was always happy when you are with me. I want you to be happy with me forever. Marry me.”

However, an official from SM Entertainment denied a wedding was imminent. “The two families haven't arranged a formal meeting with each other yet because of their schedules. Shindong and Jung Nari (his girlfriend) are not planning on getting married right now but they want to get their approval," explained the official.

Shindong made his debut in the 13-member boy band Super Junior in 2005, releasing numerous hit records and songs including "Sorry, Sorry," "It's You," "Rukkugo" and "BONAMANA."

Outside of his singing career, Shindong has appeared on various entertainment programs as well as hosting his own radio show.

Kyuhyun says "had about 20% chance to live" 3 years ago

Super Junior member Kyuhyun has said that he had "about 20 percent or less of a chance to live" when he got involved in a serious car accident three years ago.

The singer spoke about his 2007 accident during a guest appearance on SBS variety show "Steel Heart," which aired Tuesday evening and also featured bandmates Siwon, Donghae, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and Shindong.

"The car that Super Junior members were riding in rolled over on the road and I was hurt very badly," said Kyuhyun on the show. "I was in a coma for four days... Everyone thought that I was going to die."

"I was in such a critical condition that the doctor said I needed immediate surgery," the singer went onto say. "But even if I underwent a major operation which would cut through my throat, I had about 20 percent or less chance to live."

The pop idol shed tears when he explained that his father, who had long disapproved of his dream of becoming a singer, was reluctant to agree to the surgery.

He told the doctor, "This kid is a singer and it is his dream to sing... Even if he survives the surgery he would not be living [if unable to sing afterwards]."

Eventually, the doctor was able to think of another operation method which recovered Kyuhyun from the car accident.

Kyuhyun, 24, is one of the four lead vocalists of the 13-man band Super Junior and also a member of its sub-group Super Junior-M. He also released his solo single "Listen To You," which was featured on the soundtrack of hit TV series "Pasta" (MBC, 2010) earlier this year.
