[Fanvid] Heora - Moon Is Setting (The Moon That Embraces The Sun)

Veoh: Nonie4u

Finally! I'm back with new video. I thought I've given up doing more video, but this drama and the OST just inspired me once again. It might not be the best but still I'm satisfied with it. Thank to You Tube copyright I have to re-upload this video on Veoh.

English Translation:

On nights when the wind blows
I softly close my eyes
It feels like you are right next to me
Wordlessly, I follow you and walk
Although every day, I can't even approach you step by step

* The moonlight is setting,
A black moon is setting in my heart
It resembles me, who can't say anything
If I long for it so much and call out and call out
It's a memory that became blackened ash

A cold darkness is falling down
A small star is rising
I call out to you several times a day but
Why can't I hear an answer?
When I approach you step by step, you get further

* repeat

My foolish trust just gets bigger
I hate my increasing expectations
I hate my splitting heart
Help me, help me
Help this heart that is only filled with unhappiness

The moonlight is setting,
A black moon is setting in my heart
It resembles me, who can't say anything
If I long for it so much and call out and call out
It becomes blackened ash

* repeat

It becomes blackened tears that are falling

Gong Yoo's Song Pick

"It's not easy to pick just a few", actor Gong Yoo remarked with a sigh as he unfolded the A4 paper filled with numerous names of musicians and albums. "Lucid Fall's 'Night At The Border' is good but all of his albums are actually good and 'Greetings (Feat. Kim Yeon-woo)' in TOY's 6th album "Thank You" is the song I promised to sing on KBS music show 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook'. Oh, and E Z yung's 'Spring Miracle' is great, too. These days I'm also listening to a lot of No Reply and..".

It was quite refreshing to see this side to the tall and handsome Gong Yoo who is fit to be more of an outdoor man -- as a matter of fact, he did appear as a popular baseball player Park Chul-soon in the film "Superstar Mr. Gam" (2004) -- so hung up with music. Perhaps this side of him is closer to the most recent character he played in the film "Finding Mr. Destiny" (2010), a meticulous man of principle named Han Ki-joon, who travels all the way to India in search of his client Ji-woo's (Im Soo-jeong) first love whom she met there without a clue to what his age is, his hometown, school nor anything else.

In that film which is his first project since being discharged from the military late last year, Gong presents a unique character that looks tall and handsome on the outside but is actually timid and always bearing an expression as if he has been wronged. Of course his 'romantic guy' image is all revived through the flashback of Ji-woo's first love who happens to look exactly like him. Gong Yoo is back to display a different kind of charm from when he played Choi Han-gyeol in MBC series "Coffee Prince" (2007) that captured the hearts of many women, and thus, demonstrating that he has matured both as a man and an actor since then.

"As an actor there are times when you turn edgy, from loneliness or hardships which you can't confide openly and have to keep to yourself. So in order to help myself get over such feelings I came to listen to music a lot, up to the point of thinking that perhaps these singers may know how I feel (laugh). In that sense, musicians seem to have more freedom in delivering their feelings or messages than actors who have to do it through the framework of given characters. That's what I envied about them and why I tried to invite as many indie bands as possible to my radio program "20:00 p.m. with Gong Yoo" at Defense Media Agency when I was serving in the army to try to help spread their music. It was wonderful doing my job as a DJ and coming to understand the message of their songs".

So here are the albums that Gong Yoo selected regardless of genres and more as a listener, as a member of the audience and as an actor.

1. Park Jiyoon's 7th album "Flower, Again For The First Time

Of the many albums Gong Yoo had, this was the first he recommended: the seventh album of songstress Park Jiyoon who returned in 2009 as a singer and a writer after six year hiatus. "Most people associate her with the sexy image from the song 'Coming of Age' but I feel that she has finally found her true self with this album. Although other great musicians like Lucid Fall and Dear Cloud took part in this album, there was this one particular song 'You're Like A Tree' that was both composed and written by Park herself. I felt that she has put much of her ideas and thoughts into it and when I think about how much she must've wanted to do her music all those years, I felt touched and actually proud of her even though I don't know her in person. I was sorry I didn't get a chance to invite her to my radio program. But anyway, whenever I mention her people just think that I like her because she's pretty (laugh)".

2. Yoon Sang's 6th album "Things I Didn't Know Then"

"I was his fan for a long time. His song "The Shadow of Parting" in his first album released in 1991 is still cool even when you listen to it now. One thing I noticed as I listened to the sixth album was that classics last forever. Just like good actors, there are musicians who can maintain one's color even if they don't go against mainstream music, sometimes even leading the trend. I feel a great amount of respect toward such people because they make sure people understand what they created instead of leaving them dumbfounded. Instead of leaving the listeners far behind in pursuit of their own world, they control their pace as they move onward and that's the truly amazing because I know that isn't an easy thing to do".

3. Casker's 5th album "Tender"

"Casker has also been one of my favorite bands for quite some time. For the past few years I noticed emergence of new bands that does music similar to Casker but since I'm still sticking to Casker I guess I really love their music. Jo Won-sun's vocals are good too but since I'm crazy about Lee Yung-jin's vocals, I feel that their fifth album is the pinnacle of their work. Not much has changed for the band all these years but I like it that way, continuously doing music that makes them 'Casker'. I'm no music expert so I can't detail you on the technical parts but I believe that with the passing of time, something naturally accumulates within your music that makes the music made in the 30s different from that made in the 20s. What I feel is the difference in maturity".

4. Mate's 1st album "Be Mate"

"My favorite is the sixth track 'Lean..on you' followed by eighth track 'Why', ninth track 'I Love You', and the 10th and the last tack 'Good Bye' which is all very good and teary". The world has changed allowing people to simply download music cut in single units but Gong still seem to prefer buying albums and listening to all songs from start to beginning in the given order. "I came to know Mate by their title track of their first album 'I Miss You' which was so good that I'm still listening to them. They're mostly into modern rock but their music is by no means unkind or difficult as they incorporate popular codes in their work, too. I once invited them to my radio show, purely for my likes and I remember Jung Joon-il who does keyboard and vocal was most forward in fashion sense (laugh)".

5. NY Fish's second album "Forest Of Truth"

"I liked the title song 'Love Again' from their second album so much that I once recommended this to director Lee Yoon-jung who was in charge of MBC drama "Coffee Prince" (2007). Then she called me one night saying that she was having a drink with NY Fish and that I should talk to him because she told him I'm his fan. She passed the phone to him and there, the man himself said in a slightly tipsy voice "Thank you for loving the work of a penniless musician. I love you!" and he was so happy. I have actually come across many indie band musicians who are surprised that celebrities like their music too. I completely act like an avid fan when I meet them in person, asking them when their next album is due and for those who come to my radio program, I make sure to receive their autographs. It got a little weird, however when they asked for my autographs, too (laugh).

Yoo Ah In Song's Pick

“But I'm just a 25-year-old small actor,” reasoned Yoo A-in during the interview.

Nonetheless there are certain things in life that cannot be measured by size. True to his words Yoo is by all means not a big Hallyu Star who makes big bucks every year nor an accomplished actor with years of experience. But the most important question here is how 'irreplaceable' he is. And so far, the answer is that he is not, both as an actor and as his plain self. Sure, there have been many young actors who have been icons of youth. They all carried that air of restlessness typical of young age, expressing defiance toward the world they live through a melancholy gaze or other helpless gestures. But Yoo has been youth itself. Through him, we have witnessed the beauty, the frustration and the despair that youths experience. Gone is the boy who put on a carefree smile on KBS' youth series “Ban Ol Lim,” and was replaced by Jong-dae from film “Boys of Tomorrow (2006),” who falls into a state of restlessness. The image was then followed by “Shim's Family (2007) where Yoo's character refused to accept the pitiful reality he was in while going head-on with the world in “Antique (2008).” Those world of boys he depicted, although not much to look at, sometimes pointed to no exit but they all always laughed and through that laughter we are able to understand that they will survive the trial to become someone great.

However Yoo as Moon Jae-shin (nicknamed “Geol-oh”) from KBS series “SungKyunKwan Scandal,” did not smile. Although this is not the first time he took the role of a sad and hurt youth, even then, Yoo smiled and expressed his feelings well but this time such was not the case. He found his latest role -- angered by his father and the world, heartbroken by the death of his brother and just gazing at the woman he loves -- was anything but easy. It was only after Jae-shin who was trapped in his own pain, which allowed him to laugh and cry to his heart's content, were both Jae-shin and Yu Ah-in able to crack out their shell. Certain prejudices he held against his fellow actors who were big names, idols or female actors, also eased considerably as they all became one in the drama. “Much of my prejudice has been removed. My being able to accept them with more composure is similar to Jae-shin's finally accepting Yoon-hee, Sun-joon and Yong-ha as friends -- kind of like my way of growing up.”

Yoo A-in has indeed gone past the times of adolescent despair that used to be expressed as "neither too bad nor sad even if not waking up the next day,” to settle down as full actor. But while refraining from talking anymore about his future, when 10Asia turned the conversation to ask about his favorite music, the young actor brightened up. He said he listens to music when he wishes to immerse himself deeply into something. Rummaging through his i-Phone he let the interviewer listen to the songs he loves, one by one. Join the fun by reading below.

1.Apollo 18’s "Red Album (Expanded Edition)"
It isn't all that hard to describe what experts think of the group Apollo 18 judging from several rookie-of-the-year awards the group was bestowed with in both 2009 and 2010. But without hearing their album's first, there is no way to understand the true value of the group, which was made with a clear start and ending like a well-made epic.
The number Yoo picked as his favorite was “'Warm.” “It's a performance piece as good as any other bands around the world. It starts with a whisper of the wind taking it slow until the 'ding ding ding' o the guitar sound which makes whole music it powerfully descriptive and large in scale. You end up feeling totally refreshed after you listen, as if getting drunk and finally getting things off the chest by spilling all your thoughts (laugh).”

2. Seoul Electric Band’s 2nd album “Life Is Strange”
“Normally when there is a band you like, most people also try to find out who the members are and all that details but I just go straight into music and don't bother the rest. But I think Seoul Electric Band is truly has a solid group.
As a fan and as part of the public I think the group is good enough to be an example of other bands,” Yoo said. Seoul Electric Band composed of renowned musician Shin Jung-hyun' two sons Shin Yoon-chul and Shin Seok-chul expresses old-fashioned sentiment through sophisticated electric sound. Their second album “Vol.2 “Life Is Strange” was also selected the record of the year by the 2010 Korea public music awards. “The piece 'Spring of Seoul,' especially has a terrific bass sound - will this make me sound a little smarter (laugh)? I love how the sound of the bass rises up with tension in the beginning.”

3. Jang Phil-soon's 5th album “When My Loneliness Calls Out To You
“I admired her for a long time. I tend to like guys' band more but I much prefer female voice for vocal,” said Yoo. Jang has more than one voice color. From a song that sings of joy of first love to that sing of lowliness and others that express everyday life, each song sounds different depending on the situation. “I can feel a fluttering of heart in the piece 'Postman on a Red Bicycle,' (offering his i-phone) Don't I sound like a DJ (laugh)? But whenever I say I listen more to indie music there are always someone who tell me not to be so harsh against dance groups in the TV. But I've never looked down on them. I even sing to the song of girl group SECRET (laugh).”

4. Sister's Barbershop's 5th album " The Most Ordinary Existence"
“I like Korean bands. I love the sentiment inside their lyrics because that's something only Korean bands can do. My favorite band which I like both vocal and lyrics is 'Sister's Barbershop,'” explained Yoo. The music by Sister's Barbershop looks plain on the surface but gets better as you chew on the music like sampling good quality rice. “Lee Seok-won of the band said in his interview that the fifth album is the result of repeatedly cutting down a rough gemstone until it became round. That's what made me scared (laugh). Although I listen to the album because I like it very, very much I sometimes feel suffocated by the by its weight, too. My favorite in the fifth album is “Unexpected Fact.”

5. The Black Skirt’s "201 (Special Edition)"
It's hard to believe this is Bryan Cho's first album given the quality of the music and the way the musician has packed a sentiment raw almost to the point of immaturity. “'Black Skirts' gives me an image of fishes jumping around. There is an unexpected twist to the music and lyrics are quite original, too. My favorite is 'Puppy' and 'Dientes' but “Puppy” is very provocative. I thought my life is pretty original, too but compared to him… (laugh). That's why I sometimes envy musicians. Unlike actors whose work is a collaborative project, music can be expressed individually. As for 'Dientes,' please don't miss its music video made in animation.”

Actor Lee Jung-jin's Song Picks

"You might end up kissing your acting career good bye." This is what veteran comedian Lee Kyung-kyu said to actor Lee Jung-jin when he first appeared on KBS variety show "Happy Sunday" in March 2009. At the time he was being admitted as one of the regular members of the show's segment "What Makes a Man" and it was a joke thrown to Lee who would be the youngest among the crew fit to be called a middle-aged men's club but not completely groundless given his position at the time. It was true that Lee belonged in the heartthrob category, good looking enough to star as a hero in the MBC drama "I Love You, Don't Cry (2009)" but at the same time still lacking in presence outside the screen. His joining the variety program also posed risk to weakening the weak presence he had at the time. But after a year and a half we all know that it was all unnecessary concern.

Lee's acting career continued to roll on, this year starring in films "Troubleshooter" and "No Doubt" and action-packed KBS drama "Fugitive: Plan B." He is now also a certified entertainer in that very variety show. But this is not just to show that he has an active career. Lee proved his worth outside the screen when he wholeheartedly helped his senior colleagues climb up the rough paths of Mt. Jiri. He also constantly left his mark in every role he played. As Pil-ho in "Troubleshooter," he displayed a restrained charisma in contrast to the wayward Tae-shik (Sul Kyung-gu) and as Do-soo in "Fugitive: Plan B" he showed off his manly appeal which stood out amongst Ji-woo (Rain), the subtle private detective and Kai (Daniel Henney), the ambitious businessman. And the strong impression he has left from playing such roles have added to proving his capacity as an actor. In other words, the public has become increasingly aware of him, both inside and outside the screen. Just like the songs Lee described below as "echoing" in his ears. They may help us gain an even stronger impression of him.

1. Suh Young-eun's "With" (Single)
Suh Young-eun is one of the true singers out there and I love most of her songs. "These Damn Words (Feat. Jung Yeop of Brown Eyed Soul)," that so well expresses the regret felt over a love after the breakup, is the song I listen to the most these days.Interesting title too. "The absence of mesmerizing dance steps and stage costumes does not automatically make one a true singer. But it is also true there is a certain aura for bold singers who try to push ahead only with his or her singing. Just like Suh Young-eun and Jung Yeop. The two vocalist in Suh's single "With (Single)" shows the perfect harmony of male and female vocalist by restraining their singing tones. Rather than showing off their high tones and other powerful techniques they focus on expressing the sorrow of the song through lyrics that "repeat words of love till it wears out."

2. Lee Moon-sae's "When Love Passes (4th Album)
You can't leave this album out when enjoying autumn. Lee's second recommendation was "When Autumn Comes." "I seem to hear this everywhere I go so I end up humming it to myself. It seems to come out most frequently when I'm listening to the radio in the car. The weather has turned cold but it still feels like autumn thanks to this song, "said Lee. He finds COOL's song attractive in the summer and when raining in November, Guns n 'Roses' "November Rain." So when a cold and clear wind greets him, it is time to listen to Lee's music.Perhaps it is a waste of breath to talk about the warmth of the song. Just like Lee put it, even though spring and autumn are getting shorter these days, seasons continue to exist through our sentiments toward the outside world. Just like enjoying the song "When Autumn Comes" as it is.

3. Ga-in's "step 2 / 4 (EP)"
It was not hard to guess which number Lee was going to recommend when he said he was glad to see its title identical to one of the recent films he starred in - "Irreversible." (English title: "No Doubt). "I saw that the song took the No.1 spot in some music program. Ga-in's songs are good as always. I wish my film could be loved as much. "Do not take Lee's words wrong because he is not saying that just to promote his movie. Singer Son Ga-in's "Irreversible" is a good tango number. Given Ga-in's previous images in the music band Brown Eyed Girls or in Narsha's music video for "Piri Papa," not many could have guessed this is how Ga-in would start out as a solo singer. Especially through her collaboration with Yun Sang that showed the most sophisticated synthetic pop in Korea. However what resulted after cooperation between Ga-in, Yun Sang and Lee Min-soo who wrote lyrics for "Abracadabra" was a tango. Not just a mere taste of it but real tango rhythm and instruments, giving birth to another unforgettable piece.

4. WINTERPLAY's "Choco Snow Ball (1st Album)"
The sweet and mellow sound of jazz accompanied by vocalist Hye-won's adhesive but not as exaggerated voice creates a truly enchanting song. "It's bossa nova style music that makes you increasingly addicted. It the perfect song for a grey winter day when you're meeting with friends for a light tea and a snack. "The good thing about Winterplay is that although its music is based on jazz, the group does not limit itself to the genre itself and instead tries to create music that is enjoyable to others. For those who do not get it, try listening to "Melon Man" first.

5. Various Artists' "Cinema Paradiso"
"Even people who have never seen the movie will have heard of this song at least once," said Lee. The last song he recommended was "Love Theme" to one of the soundtracks for "Cinema Paradiso." Truth be told, practically all the songs in this soundtrack can move people's heart, including its theme music of the same name, "Childhood And Manhood , "that came out during Toto's childhood moments. Even so, nothing can top the "Love Theme" which is probably the first track that springs to people's mind whenever the movie is mentioned."The music was played at the ending scene as Toto who became a middle-aged man watches the ending scenes of the films that Alfredo has left him. Even I, who likes to maximize the effect of the final scene, was truly impressed. This is a wonderful piece that does an excellent job of relieving every detail of the movie's ending, "said Lee. Just like Lee said sometimes short themes to movie soundtracks, just like madeleine cookies in the film "Time Regained," take us back to the moments when we first watched the film. Such magical moments are rare however. That is what makes "Love Theme "so magnificent.

Han Ga-in's Song Picks

The phrase 'ideal woman' pops into mind before 'actress.' Han Ga-in has always been every man's ideal woman -- from when she appeared on the news by chance in high school as a top student in her class dreaming to major in medicine to when she was the Olivia Hussey-resembling high school girl in plaited pigtails (in film "Spirit of Jeet Kune Do: Once Upon a Time in High School") to when she was crowned 'queen of tears' playing her character who agonizes over her past from the days she was single (in KBS TV series "Terms of Endearment"). Her facial features and bright eyes which stand out even without any fancy make-up, placed her on the list of bywords for beautiful women since the beginning stages of her career.

So even though she chilled the hearts of many males, from high school students to reserve officers to single men, when at the age of 23 she announced her marriage to fellow actor Yeon Jung-hoon in 2005, her appearance is probably not the only reason she remains the ideal woman for many men five years later. She is closer to being the affable girlfriend than a coquettish lady as seen from her portrayal of the assertive and shrewd character she played in MBC drama "Super Rookie." And like she described of her three-year hiatus -- " I spend very ordinary days when not acting, just doing household chores. And it turned out that I was so busy that I didn't feel time pass by," -- Han too turns out not to be a 'goddess' or 'heartthrob,' but rather no different from any other female in her late twenties. What is rather more impressive is her polite manners and slightly more honest personality which she may have been born with or could come from her relatively quick career start.

But nobody says that even this model student who rehearses her Japanese lines to the extent that "they will come out seemingly automatically with the slightest prod" by failing to let go of her recorder day and night when on shoots overseas, cannot have unexpected desires. In SBS show "Bad Boy," the actress "rid herself of the image which is as pretty and clean as a crystal," as said by director Lee Hyung-min, and took on the role of Moon Jae-in who is an ambitious consultant who dreams of making her way into a rich household. Just the fact that she, who was always the symbol of purity in cosmetics or home appliance commercials, transformed into someone who represents worldly desires was interesting. And the fact that she recommended music which one can listen to while thinking of their first love from a long time ago or the love they have broken up with, was also interesting. "I tried using the subtitle 'To you who is probably listening to this song somewhere'...... I'm sure everyone has someone in their memories who fits the phrase."
