Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye Considering New Drama “Pinocchio”

Actors Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye are considering casting offers for SBS‘s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama titled “Pinocchio.”

Both of Lee Jong Suk’s and Park Shin Hye’s agencies, Wellmade and S.A.L.T. Entertainment, respectively, stated that their stars are reviewing the offer.

“Pinocchio” will follow the story of local TV news reporters. If Lee Jong Suk agrees, he will once again be working with scriptwriter and director pair- Park Hye Ryun and PD Jo Soo Won- who worked together on the hit drama “I Hear Your Voice” with Lee Jong Suk.

Earlier in the month, it was reported by the local media that actor Kim Woo Bin, a close friend of Lee Jong Suk, was offered a role in “Pinocchio,” with a correction later by SBS stating that Kim Woo Bin was not being courted because of his schedule.

“Pinocchio” is scheduled to begin airing in November, following the completion of both “It’s Okay, It’s Love,” as well as “My Lovely Girl.”

Actor Kim Woo Bin Considering Casting Offer for New Drama “Pinocchio”

Actor Kim Woo Bin is currently looking over a casting offer to star in SBS‘s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama titled “Pinocchio.”

On August 7, a representative of Kim Woo Bin’s agency, Sidus HQ, revealed to Newsen, “It is true that Kim Woo Bin received a casting offer as the lead male role in “Pinocchio,” but nothing is confirmed. At the moment, there are various schedules left to be completed, so it is still too early to comment on the casting offer. Nothing has been decided.”

The rep also added, “Because Kim Woo Bin has not even started filming for the movie “Twenty” yet, it is too early to decide on his next production already.”

“Pinocchio” will follow the story of social affairs reporters, as a way of introducing the viewers to the world of reporters. It is a production created by the scriptwriter and director of popular drama “I Hear Your Voice,” Park Hye Ryun and PD Jo Soo Won.

Kim Woo Bin has been offered the role of Choi Dal Po, a social affairs reporter who has been working in the field for one year.

Meanwhile, “Pinocchio” is scheduled to begin airing in November, following the completion of both “It’s Okay, It’s Love,” as well as “My Lovely Girl.”

I Need Romance 3. Episode 1 - My Thought & Quotes.

“A Woman Who Looks Like Sing Sing”

“On the day I was born, it was the first snow of the year. A seven-year-old Sing Sing left footprints in the snow where no one else had walked, as she came to meet me. I heard it all from Sing Sing. She said that on the day I was born, I was like a sweet potato. I don’t believe her.” - Joo Wan

“How is he going to get through life when he’s so ugly?”- Shing-Shing

Whether it's one reason or hundred reasons, a man who say's the word 'break up', I have no intention of holding onto him.If I hold on, will you be held? - Shin Joo Yeon

“Sadness is parting from someone—your heart hurts and that pain grows deep. Something gets tangled in your heart. That’s sadness.” - Shing Shing

Some people break up because they don't like each other, but some just can't see the other person, even if they want to." - Shing Shing

There is no reason to be sad or hurt. A relation coming to an end is natural" - Shin Joo Yeon

I didn't understand. There were things I wanted to ask. But I didn’t ask. There is only one reason for all breakups, the passion of dating has ended." - Shin Joo Yeon

“You’ve changed. I thought about it, why you’ve become this woman. Earlier today you said you had someone you were in love with, but that was a lie. If you were in love with someone, if you were receiving someone’s love, you would be a person who treasured memories a little more.
So if you are dating someone right now, you should break up, because it’s not real love.”
- Joo Wan

"Even if don't want to meet, we will end up meeting soon. Because I'm a person who keeps his promises." - Joo Wan

My thought on the 1st episode:

Starting with a little girl walking with her red coat on the first winter... that was cute. It is good to know that the story begin with something innocent, cute, loveable and sweet. Knowing that this story will soon turn out to hatred, sadness, loneliness and romance... everything that start with a fresh feeling is great.

At first, I've my doubt about these two pairing up... NO! not because of the age, but maybe because I'm still stuck with IRIS and GU FAMILY BOOK. But after watching the 1st episode, I'm relieved that I'm already on track... means waiting for the next episode is definitely a must for me.

This drama have everything you want. If you're someone who repeatedly got hurt and later change into someone much more stronger, capable, cool, successful (well I always want to think I am stronger and cool)... than you'll love Shin Joo Yeon. You'll start to relate  and agree with her in everything she do and for some reason you'll see YOU in Shin Joo Yeon... seriously, I do... and for that reason I'm hooked to this drama.

If that reason wasn't enough, than you'll love Joo Wan aka Allen Joo. He's tall, handsome, sweet, loveable, romantic and so on... everything you want in a guy just list it... he is almost perfect well at least for me. Seriously, I need to find someone soon... I'm the one who need romance now.

Other character really fit in, friends, long lost enemy, crush, ex-lover, and so on. Seriuosly it is too short but yet delightful. Love it!

"Ducking" Lee Seung Gi in "The King 2Hearts"

Lee Seung Gi had his first military experience on upcoming MBC drama "The King 2Hearts." In the show, Lee Seung Gi plays mischievous Prince of South Korea Lee Jae Ha. Although Lee Jae Ha is a member of the royal family, he is serving the military like any other able-bodied Korean adult male citizen.

On Feburary 1, Lee Seung Gi appeared at the filming set fully dressed in military outfit, completely transforming into Prince Lee Jae Ha. He looked proud and brave. However, it only lasted a short while before he entered CBR (Chemical, Biological, and Radiological) training room. In the room full of smog, Lee Seung Gi was jumping, ducking, rolling on the ground and coughing in tears. His face was soon covered in mucus and tears.

In the freezing cold weather, the filming lasted more than three hours. All crew members as well as Lee Seung Gi struggled throughout the filming, but Lee Seung Gi was a true trooper. The staff gave complements, "He hasn't even served in the military yet and he did a real good job! It's like he's already been through the CBR training," and "He does anything and everything for the show."

The production company Kim Jong Hak Production's official commented, "Lee Seung Gi is doing everything to portray the sly, snobby, and funny character of Lee Jae Ha. He is also the one who makes everyone laugh on set. All of his efforts will complete Lee Jae Ha's character."

"The King 2Hearts" is written by Hong Jin Ah and directed by producer Lee Jae Gyu from popular MBC drama "Beethoven Virus." It is a romantic comedy about South Korea's prince Lee Jae Ha falling in love with a North Korean Special Forces instructor Kim Hang Ah (played by Ha Ji Won) and how they push away their prejudices and differences for their love.

Main Poster for "The King 2hearts" Unleashed

The main poster for “The King 2hearts” which stars Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won was unleashed.

The backdrop of the drama has an interesting concept that South Korea has maintained its constitutional monarchy. The story is about South Korea’s king (Played by Lee Seung Gi) falling in love with a North Korean Special Forces instructor. (Played by Ha Ji Won) The story will show how the two push away their prejudice and differences for their love.

Lee Seung Gi is showing off his uniform look while Ha Ji Won is showing off a more “pure” charm in her pink clothes.

A representative of the production team stated, “Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi had great synergy since day one of filming. The staff members were very satisfied. ‘The King 2hearts’ will be a drama that will surpass the anticipation for it.”

Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won’s “King 2hearts” Reveals Teaser Stills

MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “King 2hearts,” starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, unveiled teaser stills of its main leads. The series takes place in a fictional contemporary South Korea, which is still ruled by monarchy. Lee Seung Gi play Lee Jae Ha, the scatterbrained Crown Prince of South Korea, while Ha Ji Won plays Kim Hang Ah, a North Korean Special Forces female operative.

The teaser stills are from the first episode of “King 2hearts,” where Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah meet for the first tine. The scene was shot on February 7, and the two leads are dressed in their respective country’s military uniform. According to producers, Ha Ji Won has delved 100% into her character, talking and acting like a true North Korean operative.

A representative of Kim Jong Hak Productions stated, “While it was their [Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won] first shoot together, they had great chemistry with each other, earning praises from director Lee Jae Gyu and the rest of the crew. “King 2hearts” is about an arranged marriage between North Korean Special Forces female operative Kim Hang Ah and South Korea’s Crown Prince Lee Jae Ha. Initially, the two are blinded by their pride and prejudice against each other, but they manage to get past their differences and fall in love.

“King 2hearts” will premiere on MBC on March 14 at 9:55PM KST.

Han Ga In The Beautiful and Mysterious Female Shaman

Actress Han Ga-in announced an impressive first appearance in the MBC TV drama "The Sun and the Moon"as a beautiful and mysterious female shaman.

On the fifth episode of "The Sun and the Moon" on the 18th, Yeon-woo (Kim Yoo-jeong) parts with Lee Hwon (Yeo Jin-goo) and is on the verge of death after being chosen as the Crowned Princess but gets sick after drinking a dark magic drink made by Nok-yeong (Jeon Mi-seon).

Kim Yoo-jeong will step down from the drama starting on the 19th and Han Ga-in will appear as a female shaman who reappears 5 years later under the name of Wol.

"The Moon that Embraces the Sun" Director Praises ZE:A's Si Wan

Earlier today, director Kim Do Hoon of MBC’s “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” tweeted, “Si Wan is done with filming. If I had never met him, I don’t think it would have been possible for Heo Yeom to have received so much love and support from fans.” He added, “I want to applaud Si Wan for successfully debuting [as an actor]. Despite the tight schedule, he showed passion and sincerity towards the project.”

ZE:A’s Si Wan has become the dark horse of “idol actors” with his charismatic acting performance in “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” He played the younger counterpart of Song Jae Hee’s Heo Yeom, a top scholar in the Joseon Dynasty and brother to heroine Yeon Woo (Kim Yoo Jung/Han Ga In).

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” is a fantasy historical drama (sageuk) set in the Joseon Dynasty. King Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) and his half-brother Prince Yang Myung (Jung Il Woo) fall for the same girl, a shaman named Wol (Han Ga In). Wol, whose real name is Yeon Woo, was the Crowned Princess, betrothed to the Crowned Prince Lee Hwon. She was plotted against and “executed” by those who were both jealous and fearful of her beauty and wits as a young girl.

"The Moon that Embraces the Sun” drew in 23.2% and 23.4% ratings (AGB Nielsen) for its third and fourth episode respectively. Lead actors Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, Jung Il Woo, and others will make their grand appearance on January 25.

Hot-blooded secretary meets clumsy boss in new SBS drama

From left, actors Ji Seong, Choi Kang-hee and Kim Je-jung pose for photographers during a press conference held last week to introduce the SBS drama "Protect the Boss" at the SBS headquarters in Seoul. / Yonhap

By Kwon Mee-yoo

The youth unemployment crisis is again covered on the small screen, this time with a romantic twist featuring unique characters in the new SBS drama "Protect the Boss", starting Wednesday.

The drama is a familiar romantic comedy as a rich "chaebol" heir falls in love with an ordinary woman.

Cha Ji-heon, son of DN Group president and protagonist of the new soap opera, is unlike other cold-hearted, haughty characters such as Kim Ju-won of "Secret Garden" and Hyeon Gi-jun of "Lie to Me". Cha is often scolded by his father for poor work performances and is portrayed as a good-for-nothing for the company.

Director Son Jung-hyun said he started wondering what would happen if a third-generation conglomerate owner and an ordinary "880,000-won generation" person worked together without knowing each others' background.

The 880,000-won Generation is a term that refers to low-paid non-regular workers in their 20s who earn about 880,000 won a month.

Actor Ji Seong ("Royal Family", 2011) plays the role of Cha.

"He might seem perfect ― heir of a conglomerate family who has everything he wants", Ji said at a press conference for the drama last week. "However, he lives inside a small world of his own. He was deeply wounded when his brother died".

Choi Kang-hee plays his secretary Noh Eun-seol. Choi will portray the tomboyish new recruit in a sensitive manner.

Eun-seol's interview revealed at the preview might strike a chord with many job seekers. The interviewees didn't even ask her a question and just told her that other companies would suit her better. She desperately prays for a job and finally gets one. However, things get even more complicated as she is appointed as a personal assistant to the clumsy boss Ji-heon.

Kim Hero Jaejoong of JYJ will play Cha Mu-won, Ji-heon's cousin vying for ownership of the company.

Kim starred in the 2009 movie "Postman to Heaven" and Japanese drama "Sunao ni Narenakute" in 2010, but "Protect the Boss" is his Korean drama debut.

Kim's character Mu-won is a model boss, who is capable, has manners and knows the art of living.

"Frankly speaking, I feel pressured as JYJ members Jun-su and Yu-chun are successful in musical and dramas respectively. However, my enthusiasm exceeds the burden and other actors in the drama helped me a lot", Kim said.

Actress Wang Ji-hye plays Seo Na-yun, the perfectionist lawyer at Cha's company. She is also a daughter of the conglomerate family.

"She is the perfect woman, but could fall apart at an unexpected event such as bumping in to Eun-seol", Wang said. "Seo has humane charm behind the appearance of a perfectionist".

Veteran actors will support the love and trouble of young actors. Park Yeong-gyoo, known for his acting in sitcoms, returns to the small screen after some six years to play the hot-tempered president of DN Group and father of Ji-heon. He will pepper the drama by portraying a conglomerate owner who behaves as he pleases.

"Protect the Boss" will be broadcast on Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS, starting today.

Song Joong Ki, Behind-the-Scenes as King Se Jong

First look at Song Joong Ki in character as Se Jong the Great! With his newest role, he goes from Joseon-era pretty boy ("Sungkyunkwan Scandal") to Joseon-era royalty.

Song is playing the younger version of the famous king in "Tree With Deep Roots," the anticipated sageuk drama from the "Queen Seon Deok" writers that also stars Jang Hyuk, Han Seok Kyu, and Shin Se Kyung.

Song recently tweeted this photo of himself in sageuk garb, taken from the drama’s set. Well, aegyo king is one
version of Se Jong we haven’t seen in all the numerous adaptations that have existed to date; count on Song Joong Ki to make even a legendary figure look adorable. In the drama, his youthful version of Se Jong is a genius living under a harsh father and turns inward to his books; he represses his nature in order to foster patience, in a conscious effort to be the opposite of his father. Han Seok Kyu plays his older counterpart once the drama moves into his reign as king."Tree With Deep Roots" premieres in September on SBS.
