Hello Airen~! 

While fully resting yesterday after things wrapped up, and sorting things out in my heart 

Today, I bid you my final goodbye..^^

From the first filming on February 1 through the final filming on May 23.. 

I was really happy living as Lee Jae Ha from The King 2 Hearts.

To be together with the best on-site staff and the best actors 

It was so fun and each and every day was a continuous learning experience…

And on top of that, even the best fans Airens.. standing by me 

I will never forget the gifts and sincerity you provided to strengthen me as well as our staff during the 4 months..^^ 

I sincerely thank you once again..^^!!

Honestly, I despaired a lot during the month of February.. Sensing a lot of my acting limitations 

And in working together with such a fine array of senior actors, the thought of not wanting to become ‘that person’ allowed me to act, focused and on the ball each and everyday..^^ㅋㅋ

I wondered when 20 episodes would end but things really ended in an instant. 

To the degree I felt sad.. maybe fans feel this way too?

I think it will be hard to meet someone like Lee Jae Ha again 

I think a lot of him will linger with me..^^

Since I’m planning to talk about things more in-depth later on in an interview through the media/press, I’ll carefully wrap things up and share then^^

However, setting Lee Jae Ha slightly aside, I’m putting in my all for the Budokan Concert on June 1. It’s going to be great because once again, I will be working with the best musicians..!ㅋㅋ The god of guitar will be part of the band.. With Ham Choon Ho hyung-nim involved there should be another different type of live feel.. Please anticipate this^^

Also, recently, there were news reports about me doing a variety program.. 

Nothing has been decided yet! 

When it comes to variety, there’s always a ruckus with the media outlets first^^ㅋㅋ 

I guess I’m really needed, right~? ㅋㅋ

It seems like some of you expressed concern about me doing variety programs..^^ 

I know there are several fans, with my best interest at heart, who want to see me remain as the cool Lee Jae Ha and then go into another project~^^ 

I would like that too..ㅠ Things would be much easier that way..^^??

But you know the path I travel has always been one that takes on new challenges and is pioneering, versus that of a stable path..^^?

Having received some acting praise now.. thinking ah, now I get what acting is about, and if I were to insist on the path of acting like that.. 

It would probably result in a setback as soon as you know it.. Everything..ㅋ

Also, as I’ve always walked an unexpected path up until now, I am trusting Airens had loved me^^

Although I usually don’t like to talk too much like this, I thought sharing how I really feel about this would help to give fans a peace of mind, and so I wrote a few lines..^^

Even though I talk like this, the most important thing is that nothing has been decided yetㅠㅠ 

I ended up talking as if I was doing something soon^^;;ㅋㅋㅋ

Without delay, I won’t rest and will diligently greet you in variety or singing or acting so

Whichever mode I greet you in, our fans should not lose strength and please follow me well^^ ㅋㅋㅋ

Ha Ji Won on working with Lee Seung Gi, “I cry just looking at his eyes”

Ha Ji Won spoke about her chemistry with Lee Seung Gi.

The interview of actress Ha Ji Won who plays the role of Kim Hang Ah on MBC’s ‘The King 2heart’ was featured on the drama’s homepage on the 10th.

During the interview Ha Ji Won spoke about the chemistry between her and her co-star actor Lee Seung Gi. Ha Ji Won stated, “The chemistry with Lee Seung Gi is much better as we get towards the second half of the drama. In the beginning there were lots of little mind games and such. Right now, however, they walk together heart and mind as one.”

Ha Ji Won added, “I cry just looking at Lee Seung Gi’s eyes during filming. Our chemistry is that good”, showing off their perfect couple chemistry.

As the most memorable scene of the ‘The King 2hearts’ Ha Ji Won picked the engagement party scene aired on May 9th and on the 10th. Ha Ji Won explained, “We filmed it in such a grand scale that it really was the ‘Engagement party scene of the century.’ A fan later told me it felt strange because it felt as though I was really getting engaged. The filming really stays in my mind because I have this memory with a fan as well.”

In a related news, the May 10th episode of ‘The King 2hearts’ averaged 10.2% ratings.

Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi is much loved by his sunbae actors.

Lee Seung Gi is currently playing the role of Lee Jae Ha on MBC drama ‘The King 2hearts’. Lee Jae Ha is a complex character who was a childish and selfish prince but is forced to become the king because of the death of his older brother whom he loved.

The royal chief of staff Eun Gyu Tae (played by Lee Soon Jae) is someone who has been with the royal family through thick and thin for over 30 years so he has seen the playful and childish Lee Jae Ha grow up with his own eyes. Because of that, Eun Gyu Tae has feelings against Lee Jae Ha since he doesn’t believe that Lee Jae Ha is deserves to become the king,

But what would their relationship be like behind the scenes? Lee Soon Jae is a talented veteran who is not afraid to dish out constructive criticism but it turns out, he has nothing but praises and kind words towards Lee Seung Gi for his talents as an actor and his polite manners.

On May 9th, an insider of ‘The King 2hearts’ relayed to OSEN, “Lee Seung Gi truly enjoys and is grateful for the opportunity to work with such great sunbaes like Lee Soon Jae and Yoon Yeo Jung. Lee Seung Gi really plays the role of the mood maker on set. Watching Lee Seung Gi that way, the sunbaes really give a lot of advices and the mood on set is really great.”

‘The King 2hearts’ has been planned for a total of 20 episodes and so far, 15 episodes have aired. Once episode 16 airs on May 10th, there will only be 4 episodes left truly delving in towards the end of the drama. Most Korean dramas are filmed to be shown immediately as they go once it reaches the middle of the story but ‘The King 2hearts’ has more room helping the actors and staff reach for perfection with each and every episode.

On May 2nd, 2012, MBC drama “The King 2hearts” published an interview clip of Jo Jung Suk who is playing the role of Eun Si Kyung on the official website.

In the interview, Jo Jung Suk made no secret of his praise for Lee Seung Gi who plays the role of Lee Jae Ha, and at the same time, expressed his satisfaction in co-starring with him.

Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won Warm Up on ‘The King 2Hearts’

It looks like Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won’s characters are beginning to thaw out their frosty relations!

On April 4, the production agency of MBC’s The King 2Hearts unveiled new preview still cuts ahead of the airing of the drama’s fifth episode.

The released image shows Ha and Lee, sitting in front of a white piano at night, with a warm light bathing their faces- a stark contrast from the icy and sometimes nasty relations between the two characters. The two were revealed to be playing the song, Ave Maria together on the piano.







































The scene was revealed to have been shot on Jeju Island on March 13. Despite the cold weather icing their bodies and fingers, the two managed to act out the warm scenes without a hitch.

A member of the production staff shared, “The passion that Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi always spills for their acting always makes the production set warm. The fifth and sixth episode will see a more exciting storyline beginning to unfold.”

The fifth episode of The King 2Hearts will air on April 4.

Stars of the new MBC drama ‘The King 2hearts’ Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won have successfully filmed a street battle scene.

The street battle scene of the two stars will be aired on the 3rd episode and the scene was filmed very realistically.

The filming took place at the Jeju island, Lee Seung Gi, Ha Ji Won, and Jo Jung Suk were joined byJung Man Sik, Choi Kwon, and Known Hyung Sang to film the ‘World Commissioned Officer Competition’ scene. The actors were in full military gear including the MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System), which is used by the military in real life. The production team of ‘The King 2hearts’ produced an exact replica of the real system.

The filming lasted 8 hours to create vivid scenes. Ha Ji Won played the perfect soldier whereas Lee Seung Gi’s character was portrayed as showy, funny, but also serious at times.

The production company Kim Jong Hak Production said in a statement, “The production team is working very hard to make the training scenes as realistic as possible. Ha Ji Won, Lee Seung Gi, and the rest of the casts’ excellent acting is raising the production value of the drama that much higher. Please look forward to the vivid and realistic ‘The King 2hearts”.

Lee Seung Gi‘s kiss scene with ‘The King 2 Hearts‘ co-star Ha Ji Won is causing quite the stir online.

Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won shared some behind-the-scenes stories on MBC‘s ‘Section TV Entertainment Report‘ that aired March 11th.

In regards to their kiss scene, Seung Gi honestly remarked, “I kissed her on the side of her neck. It was more nerve-wrecking and strange than other kiss scenes I’ve done.”

‘Section TV’ then played the clip of the scene, where Seung Gi places a kiss on Ha Ji Won who is fast asleep. The romantic scene caused even the viewers watching at home to feel nervous.

‘The King 2 Hearts’ tells the story of a Korea under a constitutional monarchy. Lee Seung Gi will be playing the role of a South Korean prince in the drama, while his co-star Ha Ji Won will be playing the role of a North Korean military officer. The series will air once ‘Moon-Sun’ comes to an end.

"Ducking" Lee Seung Gi in "The King 2Hearts"

Lee Seung Gi had his first military experience on upcoming MBC drama "The King 2Hearts." In the show, Lee Seung Gi plays mischievous Prince of South Korea Lee Jae Ha. Although Lee Jae Ha is a member of the royal family, he is serving the military like any other able-bodied Korean adult male citizen.

On Feburary 1, Lee Seung Gi appeared at the filming set fully dressed in military outfit, completely transforming into Prince Lee Jae Ha. He looked proud and brave. However, it only lasted a short while before he entered CBR (Chemical, Biological, and Radiological) training room. In the room full of smog, Lee Seung Gi was jumping, ducking, rolling on the ground and coughing in tears. His face was soon covered in mucus and tears.





In the freezing cold weather, the filming lasted more than three hours. All crew members as well as Lee Seung Gi struggled throughout the filming, but Lee Seung Gi was a true trooper. The staff gave complements, "He hasn't even served in the military yet and he did a real good job! It's like he's already been through the CBR training," and "He does anything and everything for the show."


The production company Kim Jong Hak Production's official commented, "Lee Seung Gi is doing everything to portray the sly, snobby, and funny character of Lee Jae Ha. He is also the one who makes everyone laugh on set. All of his efforts will complete Lee Jae Ha's character."


"The King 2Hearts" is written by Hong Jin Ah and directed by producer Lee Jae Gyu from popular MBC drama "Beethoven Virus." MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “King 2hearts,” starring Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, unveiled teaser stills of its main leads. The series takes place in a fictional contemporary South Korea, which is still ruled by monarchy. Lee Seung Gi play Lee Jae Ha, the scatterbrained Crown Prince of South Korea, while Ha Ji Won plays Kim Hang Ah, a North Korean Special Forces female operative.

The teaser stills are from the first episode of “King 2hearts,” where Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah meet for the first tine. The scene was shot on February 7, and the two leads are dressed in their respective country’s military uniform. According to producers, Ha Ji Won has delved 100% into her character, talking and acting like a true North Korean operative.

A representative of Kim Jong Hak Productions stated, “While it was their [Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won] first shoot together, they had great chemistry with each other, earning praises from director Lee Jae Gyu and the rest of the crew. “King 2hearts” is about an arranged marriage between North Korean Special Forces female operative Kim Hang Ah and South Korea’s Crown Prince Lee Jae Ha. Initially, the two are blinded by their pride and prejudice against each other, but they manage to get past their differences and fall in love.

KBS Announces Final Trip Location for "One Night, Two Days"

Earlier today, producers of KBS2 “Happy Sunday – One Night, Two Days (1N2D)” announced the final filming location for the popular variety show. As previously reported, the last recording of “1N2D” will take place February 10-11.

Director Na Young Suk announced, “There has been a lot of interest as to where our last filming location would be. The members will hold the show’s last opening from Jeongeup, North Jeolla.” Then the cast and crew of “1N2D” will say their final farewells to their viewers from Daechon Beach in Boryong, South Chungcheong.

"1N2D" has been one of the longest running variety shows on Korean TV. The show has been introducing both domestic and international viewers to some of the most beautiful, scenic places in South Korea since August 5, 2007.

Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won, Lee Soo Geun, Kim Jong Min, and Uhm Tae Woong’s final trip will air February 19 and 26.

Lee Seung Gi spent his birthday with tears of pain rather than happiness.

On the January 29th episode of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 days’, the fishing boat special continued as themembers fought with the bad weather and sea sickness to catch fish.

Uhm Tae Woong was on the squid ship, Kim Jong Min on the chambok ship, Lee Soo Geun on the Daegae ship, Eun Ji Won on the agui ship, and Lee Seung Gi on the octopus ship. Kim Jong Min, Lee Soo Geun, and Lee Seung Gi were all seasick. Kim Jong Min suffered for 30 minutes and the staff were suffering as well.

Lee Soo Geun couldn’t hide his bewilderment at the massive waves. A female staff, PD Yoo Jung Ahalong with many other staff members couldn’t balance themselves and started tripping on deck. Lee Soo Geun then spoke, “PD Yoo Jung Ah is already knocked out cold from seasickness. We won’t be able to continue filming if the camera man goes down too”.

Lee Seung Gi who was celebrating? his birtday on the same day even showed tears. He was in excruciating agony as he tried to work through the seasickness. Finally with his face white he spoke, “You really gonna do this on my birthday? It’s the first time I had abdomen muscle cramp” and he shed tears making many viewers feel terrible for him.

Entertainers mention Kang Ho Dong in their acceptance speeches

Though Kang Ho Dong was not present, many of the celebrities could not ignore his absence at the‘2011 SBS Entertainment Awards’ and desired for him to make his comeback soon.

Kim Yong Man, Kim Won Hee, and Shin Bong Sun hosted the SBS Entertainment Awards that took place on December 30th.

It was here that ‘Running Man‘ Yoo Jae Suk was awarded the honorable ‘Daesang’, and ‘Strong Heart”s Lee Seung Gi and Kim Byung Man of ‘Law of the Jungle‘ were awarded the Best Excellence Awards for Talk Show & Variety Programs. The awards went to various entertainers that were active at SBS for the past year.

However, MC Kang Ho Dong who won the Entertainment ‘Daesang’ last year and served as an MC on hit programs such as ‘Strong Heart’ and ‘Star King‘ until this past September did not receive any awards. In fact, his name was not listed as a nominee for any of them. The MC temporarily retired from the industry after being under suspicion of tax evasion this past September, and was unable to attend any of the year-end ceremonies.

After Kang Ho Dong’s biggest rival Yoo Jae Suk received his SBS Entertainment ‘Daesang’, he cautiously began to say, “I am hesitant to say these words in fear that they will hurt my hyungnim but… I spoke too him not long ago. Towards the end of our conversation he said, “Jaesuk, be strong and march forward.” I really miss you. I will be strong and march forward, just as you said, but I would like to take that journey with you.”

Lee Seung Gi who was award the Talk Show Best Excellence Award as well as the Netizens’ Best Popularity Award also tearfully remarked, “Kang Ho Dong hyungnim, you always made me feel secure by looking closely after me. I never felt burdened because you were there with me, but now your absence feels like a treme9[]ndous void. I really want to hear your hearty laugh. I really want to tell you that I miss you dearly.”

Lee Seung Gi who has been hosting ‘Strong Heart’ alongside Kang Ho Dong for the past two years has been leading the show alone since September.

Cho Hae Ryun who was awarded the Talk Show Excellence Award also stated, “Our Ho Dong who has always cheered us on in the dressing room is taking some time off right now, but next year I hope to lead the programs with him.”

Cho Hae Ryun has helped Kang Ho Dong host ‘Star King’ until he took a temporary leave in September, and Entertainment Boom along with Super Junior‘s Lee Teuk who also worked a lot with the MC on ‘Strong Heart’ and ‘Star King’ also remembered to mention him in their speeches.

Lee Teuk who was also awarded the Talk Show Excellence Award remarked, “Dear Kang Ho Dong sunbaenim who never failed to give brutal advice! The place you belong is not there, but here. Please, hurry back“, and Boom held up a photo of Kang Ho Dong and danced his signature ‘Boom’ dance.

Although Kang Ho Dong was not present, the celebrities missed him at the award ceremony more than they ever have.

Kang Ho Dong replies to Lee Soo Geun’s congratulatory text message

It was revealed that the production team of KBS ’1 Night 2 Days’, together with the cast members Lee Soo Geun, Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won, Kim Jong Min, and Uhm Tae Woong have reached out to Kang Ho Dong to show their appreciation.

The members had all tried calling him multiple times, but there was no answer on the other line. In the end, they decided that Lee Soo Geun should send Kang Ho Dong a thank you message for the whole group.

According to an associate of Lee Soo Geun the text message read, “We got the award thanks to you, hyungnim. We want to share this honor with you” and Kang Ho Dong replied, “Don’t get tired and don’t lose your spirit. I was happy to have been together with all of you”.

After winning the KBS Daesang Lee Soo Geun stated during his acceptance speech, “Big hyungnim, I will go visit you with the trophy” and he had publicly deferred all the glory to Kang Ho Dong.

Close friends revealed that the reason Kang Ho Dong hadn’t answered the call was because he felt that the honor should solely be with the ’1 Night 2 Day’s team. Kang Ho Dong watched the awards ceremony on TV, but it must have hurt a lot that he couldn't be there.

Another associate stated, “To describe Kang Ho Dong’s situation right now, it’s more like that he has confined himself to his home. His heart hasn't fully healed from the unfortunate incident and that is why he isn't even able to answer the calls from the ’1 Night 2 Day’s casts, who are like his real brothers”.

’1 Night 2 Days’ was supposed to see its end on February of 2012, but for now, from all indication the production for its second season is being discussed. No official announcement has been made yet.

’1N2D’ holds its first shoot without MC Kang Ho Dong

On September 23rd, ‘1N2D‘ held its first shoot without MC Kang Ho Dong.

The staff members of ’1N2D’ looked nervous and concerned about their first shoot without the beloved MC. PD Na Young Suk even asked the staff to be a little understanding, since the cast would be a bit sensitive that day.

One by one, the cast members began to arrive on set. Their faces said it all — they were all worried about the first recording without their eldest hyung, Kang Ho Dong. The cast members all felt the heavy burden of having to carry the show without their main man.

Lee Seung Gi, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Kim Jong Min, and Uhm Tae Woong agreed not to lose focus and to work hard, just like they always have. The staff expected the set to feel empty and awkward, but much to their surprise, the boys managed to motivate themselves into positive moods. The five went in for a group hug to re-confirm their loyalty to one another, and for the show itself.

Reportedly, the members got so hyped up that Uhm Tae Woong (who’s been sick lately) began rolling around on the ground, and Eun Ji Won brought out his classic facial expressions that had the cast roaring with laughter. Kim Jong Min even did his iconic shuffle dance.

Though there was heavy security in the area preventing cameras and reporters from getting too close, it seemed as though the staff and cast had no trouble continuing ’1N2D’ without Kang Ho Dong. They plan to continue the show together until February of next year.

High probability that ’1 Night 2 Days’ will end soon

 

 

 

Kang Ho Dong‘s recent retirement has left everyone wondering if all four of his variety shows will be discontinued early.

Over the Chuseok holiday weekend even the production crew of the programs were curious about what the future would have in store for them.

Rumor has it that the first program to go will most likely be ‘1 Night 2 Days‘. Kang Ho Dong’s charisma has carried the show for over 4 years, and because of the attachment the members have for each other, they will probably quit together.

News has surfaced that the upcoming ’1 Night 2 Days’ recording on the 23rd will go as planned. PD Na Young Suk stated, “Whether the program will end early or whether we will add a new member, specific plans for the future have not yet been discussed. Next weeks recording will take place, but I am still not sure if Kang Ho Dong will be present for filming. Despite the bad news to the other members they said they wanted to gather courage and try hard, so it’ll be difficult to hastily conclude the program”.

He continued, “However, the original end of ’1 Night 2 Days’ is next year, but the members have the power to revoke and end the program earlier. The reason they might do so is to keep their loyalty to each other, if leader Kang Ho Dong leaves there is no reason to continue the show for 6 more months. The program starting and ending together with Kang Ho Dong at the helm will have special meaning, so it is highly likely it could end soon”.

SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’, ‘Star King’, and MBC’s ‘Golden Fishery’ are all faced with the same dire situation.

An official of SBS said, “Kang Ho Dong is an irreplaceable character. Fellow celebrities might feel burdened by his absence. However, even if ‘Strong Heart”s advertisement sales are at 90%, it’s hard to decide what to abolish and cancelling will not be an easy decision. That’s why there are lots of worries for the production team. With Lee Seung Gi‘s consent, we are under discussion on looking for ways for him to progress on the show alone”.

The official continued, “MBC ‘s ‘Golden Fishery’ has about two recordings left so they have a little bit of time to decide, but if the guru on ‘Golden Fishery’ leaves, do you think the program will really work? In particular, the guru was made through Kang Ho Dong’s character so there is no alternative. They fell into a problem with no solutions available”.

Kang Ho Dong’s tax evasion and recent retirement announcement has clearly affected the programs production teams, as well as the loyal fans who watch the shows.
