Lee Je Hoon comes back with two very different characters

Actor Lee Jee Hoon eyes a comeback to both the small and the silver screen with two very different characters.

In the movie ‘Architecture Theories’, Lee Je Hoon plays an innocent young man experiencing his first love. He sees Seo Yeon (played by Suzy) in an architecture theories class for the first time and it becomes the start of his first love.

Because he plays a college student from the 90s, his fashion is already corny but adding to that is the character he plays, a shy young man who can’t even confess his love to the girl he’s in love with and the end result is a goofy looking young man.

However on the soon to premier SBS’ ‘Fashion King’, he plays a character that has everything one could ever want and is a second generation multi-billionaire. He will fashion the most luxurious suits and his character is difficult to deal with, but he does have that x factor that attracts people.

‘Architecture Theories’ is slated to premier on March 22nd and ‘Fashion King’ will air its first episode on March 12th.

Song Ji-hyo confirms relationship

After recent reports about actress Song Ji-hyo was caught on a date with the CEO of her management agency Baek Chang-joo, C-Jes Entertainment has come forward and confirmed that the two were indeed in a relationship.

According to HanCinema website, a representative of C-Jes Entertainment carefully stated, "Song Ji-hyo and Baek Chang-joo are dating, but they are still in the early stages of their relationship. Because this is a private personal matter, we have no way of knowing when and how they started dating."

The representative then declined to discuss the matter further.

The "Gyebaek" actress became label mates with JYJ by joining C-Jes Entertainment in July 2011, becoming the first actress to be recruited by C-Jes Entertainment. With C-Jes Entertainment's confirmation regarding Song Ji Hyo's relationship with CEO Baek Chang Joo, many fans expressed their concerns regarding SBS's "Running Man's" much-loved Monday couple.

"Running Man" director, Jo Hyo-jin revealed, "I just recently found out about Song Ji-hyo's relationship. We completed recordings for this week yesterday, 30 January. There is a possibility that the other cast members knew about Song Ji-hyo's relationship because they're all very close. However, the crew had no idea."

In regards to the Monday couple, he stated, "The Monday couple concept was not something neither the writers nor the producers came up with. It was something that developed naturally by the cast as the show progressed. So, it's not really up to us to alter the concept."

He added, "But now that Song Ji-hyo has gone public, I'm sure there will be gradual changes to the dynamic of the Monday couple."

Song Ji-hyo and Gary are known as the Monday couple. The two would entertain their co-stars and fans by showing interest in each other, especially on Mondays – the primary recording day for the show.

Lee Seung Gi spent his birthday with tears of pain rather than happiness.

On the January 29th episode of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 days’, the fishing boat special continued as themembers fought with the bad weather and sea sickness to catch fish.

Uhm Tae Woong was on the squid ship, Kim Jong Min on the chambok ship, Lee Soo Geun on the Daegae ship, Eun Ji Won on the agui ship, and Lee Seung Gi on the octopus ship. Kim Jong Min, Lee Soo Geun, and Lee Seung Gi were all seasick. Kim Jong Min suffered for 30 minutes and the staff were suffering as well.

Lee Soo Geun couldn’t hide his bewilderment at the massive waves. A female staff, PD Yoo Jung Ahalong with many other staff members couldn’t balance themselves and started tripping on deck. Lee Soo Geun then spoke, “PD Yoo Jung Ah is already knocked out cold from seasickness. We won’t be able to continue filming if the camera man goes down too”.

Lee Seung Gi who was celebrating? his birtday on the same day even showed tears. He was in excruciating agony as he tried to work through the seasickness. Finally with his face white he spoke, “You really gonna do this on my birthday? It’s the first time I had abdomen muscle cramp” and he shed tears making many viewers feel terrible for him.

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun’s” Expensive Hairpin Surprises Fans

In the fifth episode of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun,” Prince Lee Hwon (child actor Yeo Jin Goo) sneaks out of the palace to give a bedridden Heo Yeon Woo (child actress Kim Yoo Jung) the royal binyeo to show her his heart. He names the binyeo “the moon that embraces the sun” – describing that the sun (the red ball) as the king and the moon (the white pearl by the phoenix’s head) as the queen – and tells Yeon Woo that she is his one and only Queen.

A binyeo is an ornamental hairpin used to hold a hair bun in place. In the past, the material and design of the binyeo indicated the social status of the woman wearing it. A gold binyeo with a dragon or phoenix carved would indicate that the woman was part of the royal family.

After the episode aired, many netizens were curious as to whether the binyeo was made out of plastic or gold. It’s been revealed that Yeon Woo’s binyeo was indeed made out of real gold.

Netizens commented, “Gold is really expensive these days…It would have been really bad had they lost it haha,” “No wonder the binyeo looked so authentic,” and “Wow! That’s so awesome! That thing must cost a fortune!”

Because of its explosive popularity, MBC and the drama’s producers are currently discussing a possible four-episode extension for “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” It’s highly likely that MBC will grant the extension, especially because “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” has been doing so well. It achieved 18% (AGB Nielsen) viewership ratings for its first episode and reached 31.7% by its eighth.

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” stars Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, and Jung Il Woo and airs every Wednesday and Thursday nights on MBC at 9:55PM KST.
