Park Min-young Agency Denies Actress Dating Park Yuchun

Actress Park Min-young's agency King Kong Entertainment has denied that Park and her co-star Park Yuchun of KBS TV series "SungKyunKwan Scandal" are dating.

"We talked to (Park) Min-young after the rumor broke out today but she said it wasn't true," King Kong told Asia Economic Daily over the phone on Thursday after reports emerged quoting industry officials as speculating the two were a couple.

The official at King Kong then added, "The rumor has existed since the show started and of course, there would be nothing wrong with them seeing each other on good terms but reporting on something that isn't true as if it's true is going a bit too far."

The two, both 24, are said to be close on set but producers of the show explained that the entire cast, also including Song Joong-ki and Yoo A-in are all good friends.

In "SungKyunKwan Scandal," Park Yuchun, former member of boy band TVXQ and now a singer of trio JYJ, plays a Confucian scholar named Lee Seon-joon who falls in love with a woman in disguise as a man, played by Park Min-young.

The series premiered with viewership ratings in the single-digit range but has seen its popularity pick up steadily to near the mid-ten percent range.

Rain's Innocence To Be Proved Through "All Means Possible"

Singer and actor Rain's agency J.Tune Entertainment has vowed to take all forms of action necessary to prove that the 28-year-old superstar is being falsely accused of holding gambling debt.

The move comes after a Korean-American named Andrew Kim stepped forward on Monday to say that he has filed a lawsuit in the United States against Rain because he has failed to pay him back 150,000 dollars he borrowed for gambling three years ago.

Kim also said Rain has a "heavy gambling habit" and also met with a immigrations officer to obtain a green card in the U.S. which would exempt him from serving Korea's two-year mandatory military duties.

"Not even one percent [of what Kim has said] is true but we feel extremely wronged because what he is saying is being accepted as the truth and it’s ruining the trust Rain has worked to instill in the public for the past ten years,” J.Tune CEO Cho Dong-won told Asia Economic Daily's Sports Today during an interview late on Tuesday.

Through their legal representative, J.Tune had issued a prompt response which curtly dismissed all allegations made by Kim, but it has done little to quell the heated debate surrounding one of Asia’s hottest celebrities.

“Both Rain and I are angry over the malicious arguments [made by Kim] but also just over this situation we’re in where the public is half-doubting us,” Cho went onto say.

Then overcome with emotion, a Cho close to tears affirmed that J.Tune “will not stay quiet about this anymore” and “take every legal measure, including filing a counter lawsuit and take all means possible, even if it may have to be an international investigation.”

“By no means is Jung Ji-hoon related to any of this. He's a sound person. I will make sure to reveal the truth," Cho said resolutely.

Super Junior Member Donghae Cast For New Drama

Korean idol group Super Junior member Donghae has been cast in a new SBS TV series.

The show's promoter J Story announced in a press release that Donghae is the latest singer to join the cast of the upcoming Monday and Tuesday drama tentatively titled "Dad, Your Daughter is Okay."

Donghae will be playing a character named Choi Wook-gi who is a tough and earnest guy who joins CNBLUE member Minhyuk's character in a band.

"I am nervous and excited since this will be my first time playing a role in a drama so I will work hard and hope to do my best," Donghae was quoted as saying.

"Dad," about a girl Eun Chae-ryong (played by Moon Chae-won) who makes sacrifices to help her family after her father's accident, will premiere on November 22 after "Doctor Champ" finishes its run.

Donghae made his debut in the 13-member boy band Super Junior in 2005, releasing their first album "SuperJunior 05."

He recently made a special appearance at a Girls' Generation concert, taking the stage with member Jessica's solo performance of the song "Barbie Girl."

Rain Denies Holding Gambling Debt

Korean singer and actor Rain has denied charges of failing to pay back money he borrowed from a Korean-American for gambling in the United States three years ago.

The response came just hours after Korean sports daily Sports Seoul broke news yesterday that IT entrepreneur and concert promoter Andrew Kim had sued the 28-year-old superstar for not repaying him 150 thousand dollars he used to cover his gambling debt and finance further gambling at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas in June 2007.

“There was no form of financial transaction whatsoever between Rain (and Kim),” Rain’s legal representative Yoon & Yang LLC said in a statement issued through his agency J.Tune Entertainment.

Kim had dealt on financial terms only with Star M, holder of the rights to Rain’s 2007 world tour, while Kim himself said there is no document to prove that Rain borrowed money, Yoon & Yang further stated.

While Kim had admitted in the news report that he does not have a promissory note to back his argument, he said it was because “he is not someone without money, he is a star” and the two “were friends as well as business partners,” as also mentioned in the suit he has filed to court.

The suit also said Rain has a “heavy gambling habit” which showed in how he “repeatedly placed bets upwards of $10,000” and Kim then told Sports Seoul that Rain visited casinos in Las Vegas up to four times in 2007, including a week immediately before his LA concert in June.

Yoon & Yang rebutted this accusation as well, explaining that Rain did visit Las Vegas before his June 30 concert to meet with acquaintances and attend his own birthday party they prepared for him but he dropped by the party only briefly because that is when a suit over his cancelled Hawaii show emerged.

In addition to the gambling claims, Kim accused Rain of trying to avoid serving Korea’s two-year mandatory military service by obtaining a green card in the U.S. “Kim arranged and paid for Rain to consult with an immigration attorney…” the suit said.

However, Yoon & Yang shrugged off Kim’s allegation as “intolerable slander” and instead affirmed it was to discuss on his working visa in the U.S., compulsory for the actor to expand his career to the country.

“It is common sense that he would not sell off the reputation he has worked so hard to build up on over the past ten years by avoiding military service,” the statement read.

Rain had received a notice to enter the military this year but the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) granted the date to be deferred till next year for reasons relating to his singing and acting career.

"This is no more than a fraudulent lawsuit through which Andrew Kim is marring Rain's status by abusing his celebrity status and attempting to gain advantage in his suit over the cancellation of the LA show," the statement ended by saying.

Rain's LA show had failed to take place over several conflicts between Rain's agency and Kim's company which resulted in a lawsuit filed against the star, but a court had deemed Rain does not hold any responsibility for the cancellation.

Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, has been considered one of the most successful Korean stars in the entertainment business throughout Asia since his debut in 2002.

Fav. Quote: Episode 8 Cinderella's Sister

Let just say that I have containers
that fills with the amount that I can handle in tolerating you.
After that containers been shattered one by one, there’s only one left.

If that last containers breaks,
I really won’t try to live any longer.
~~
Hell will be much easier to endure
than being with you.

-Goo Eun Jo-

I like you so much that I could die!
What can I do if I like you that much?

whether you get mad at me, or scold me, or glare at me, don’t like me,
ignore me or scoff at me, or say contemptuous things like I’m selling myself for business,
I still like you no matter what.

So what am I supposed to do at times like this?
If you’re such an adult,
tell me what I’m supposed to do?
You don’t know isn’t it?
You won’t know.
Because this isn’t Japanese language, or Math or something you can study.

-Goo Hyo Sun-

From the moment I can’t see something or someone in front of my eyes,
that person or things has nothing to do with me.
It’s become second nature for me to get used to suddenly
being separated from people.

The people I’ve known in the past can become strangers in an instant.
That’s the easiest thing in life for me.
Whether I ate together with those people,
or was caught in the rain with them,
no matter how good they were to me,
for me….
throwing those people away isn’t least bit difficult.
It’s the same thing for people who’ve abandoned me.
Even if they left me without a word,

‘because it’s what I do well, you probably do it well too’.

I think that way as I continue to live.

-Goo Eun Jo-

I’m like that too,
for me too, separating from those who have stolen my heart
even just for a moment, doesn’t affect me at all.

Because I’m not perfect,
and the sentimental feelings overwhelms me sometimes,
past events come to mind,
and feeling like I’ve reverted back to the old me.
Those things do come back once in a while.
But it’s just for an instant.
A thing like you is easy for me.

I’m like that, but you’re not.
You lied. Don’t do that.
Don’t hate me, hating me that much,
and putting your all into acting like you’ve forgotten,
don’t do any of it. Just pretend… I’m not here.

-Hong Ki Hoon-

Snatched?!

Who snatched it away from you?
If you don’t want other people to snatched it away,
You have to take care of your own belongings.
~~
Does everyone have to look out carefully for whatever you do?
Look for you, flatter you, praise you.
Is that all you need?
Do you think you’re still a kid?!
Don’t think of relying on anyone.
Be independent and rely on your own strength.
I’m asking you, with your own ability what have you achieved?
-Hong Ki Hoon-

The first time I met you.

The willful way that you spoke following whatever you picked from your mother.
I thought, during that period of your childhood, it would be good if I were there.
I had that kind of absurd thought.
You too made my heartbroken.

Don’t leave me. If you can do that, I’ll be grateful.
