Gackt: “I’ll Ask Ayumi If We’re Dating in Bed”

GACKT recently made an indirect but sly response confirming rumors about his relationship status at a press conference for Clamp’s playwright “Moon Saga: The Secret of Yoshitsune“. Ever since the Japanese paparazzi captured a photo of Ayumiand Gackt dining at a famous French restaurant last week, public interest went up as rumors of the two star dating flew back and forth internet forums.

When Gackt was asked to waive or confirm the rumors he jokingly replied, “Since Ayumi and I haven’t exactly said anything to each other about actually dating…I guess I will ask her to define the relationship later in bed” causing more than one reporter to turn a brighter shade of pink from his honest yet playful retort.

The couple does appear however to be considering the idea of making their relationship public, judging by Gackt’s press comment and Ayumi’s tweet last week, “If I could tell you anything…it might be that I’m seeing somebody.”

“Moon Saga: The Secret of Yoshitsune” will run in Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Osaka from July 15 to August 26. Gackt will play the role of leading male Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a general who was critical to the Genpei War that inspired the literary classic Heike Monogatari (Tale of the Heike).

Ayumi Hamasaki involved in drug scandal?

Japanese pop princess Ayumi Hamasaki's record label Avex Trax, a subsidiary of Avex Entertainment, has reportedly been trying to transfer her management rights for one billion yen (S$15 million) after the singer became embroiled in a drug scandal involving colleague Manabu Oshio.

According to Japanese media reports, Avex arrived at this decision to prevent her drug scandal from affecting the record label's stock prices, though industry observers say the figure is simply too low to be true.

Oshio was arrested in December last year on suspicion of giving recreation drug Ecstasy to a hostess who later died of an overdose.

The pair were at a residence in the prestigious Roppongi Hills area rented by Oshio's friend Mika Noguchi, a prominent businesswoman.

The police are investigating Hamasaki's links to the case as Noguchi is her close friend, though rumours are rife that it was Oshio who directly implicated Hamasaki in a bid to save himself.

If these reports turn out to be true, they would mark a sharp reversal of fortune for the 31-year-old superstar.

Hamasaki was discovered by Avex Trax's current president, music producer Masato Matsuura, at a karaoke bar in 1998. He signed her to Avex Trax shortly after and she has been with the label ever since.

Hamasaki went on to become the only singer in Japan with a chart-topping album every year, consecutively for 11 years.

Oguri Shun and Yamada Yuu’s pre-wedding Hawaii vacation

Actor Oguri Shun and model Yamada Yuu, who have been in a relationship for quite a while now have left for a pre-marriage journey to Hawaii during the night of January 4th. 15 Minutes before their scheduled flight at 9.45 in the evening, Yamada had been seen passing through the boarding gates. Hiding behind dark sun glasses it was the gleaming ring shining on her left ring finger. When being asked, what their plans had been for Hawaii, either of the two hardly answered and just commented laughing "We'd just like to enjoy our time there."

Five minutes later, Oguri had also been spotted. During interviews he usually only looked down and said "We just want to relax a little. After all it is a journey with our family". Hence, Oguri's family could also be seen around the two at that time.

As for the questions, if they were to marry this year Oguri said "That's not our plan." Despite the clear negation, the two of them wear the golden necklaces, representing the bond between them. According to friends and people around them, however, both of them would like to marry quickly; therefore a sudden arrangement might be possible.
