My Thought on 'Mary Stay Out All Night aka Marry Me, Mary!'

I'm back to my own cave now... and finally I can do what I do, what I want, what I like and what I missed a lot... after a long 8 days trip this is what I've been wanting to do... telling you what I think about 'Mary Stay Out All Night'.

Just like I always do let's take a look at the line of cast and synopsis of the story...

Synopsis

Wi Mae Ri is the cheerful, pragmatic daughter of a failed businessman who had grown used to being constantly on the move to escape from debtors. She becomes fast friends with the free-spirited indie singer Kang Moo Kyul when she nearly ran him over in a car. Meanwhile, her father Wi Dae Han is saved from his debtors by his old friend, Jung Suk, who had just returned from considerable success in the Japanese entertainment industry. Jung Suk, who had harboured a secret love for Mae Ri’s mother, sets up a deal with Dae Han to have Mae Ri marry his son, Jung In. In her desperate to escape this predicament, Mae Ri begs Moo Kyul to pose as her husband, and finds herself in even more trouble than before when her father proposes a 100-day period in which she has to divide her time equally between Moo Kyul and Jung In, after which she has to decide who to marry.

My Thought:

Overall it was good! will I recommending this to you? of coz I am... if you're teenager you'll definitely love it... and if you're not you still love it... but if you're into much more serious kind of drama... just go watch something else... and if you're wondering if this is good than why is the rating kind of low? you better skip all the numbers you've seen before... the rating doesn't give you the real story....

What I like about this drama is the way the story goes... it balanced well with the feelings... it give you a second thought on everything... relationship, marriage, love, friendship, family, loyalty...  I'm watching it with an open heart... I don't expect much, I don't put my hope high to the sky... all I do is watch and enjoy it. For me to like this kind of drama means I'm not calculating and observing really hard.

Well of coz watching this drama give me another second thought... maybe Mae Ri should just proceed marrying Jung In... why not? he's perfect, rich, good looking, reliable, super cute sometimes, and nice... well of coz that's when my brain doing so much calculating on everything... that's my second thought.

Jang Geun Suk as a rockstar... hmm he is good looking, he can sing and that's cool... but there is a moment where he failed to convince me that he is a rockstar...not even his long hair. Than what makes me like Mu Gyul? he remind me of my ex... hahaha. Well who will not fall for Mu Gyul? he's good looking, plus he's a singer, he's tall, he can compose a song what else... he's perfect! Looking at him and Mae Ri being so lovey dovey just too much for me hahaha... both were so sweet! oh well Jang Geun Suk is such a player hahaha he makes people think he really are in love with who ever he act with...

I wonder if getting married in such young age is a trend now but Mae Ri look too young for me, her character sometimes makes me confused coz she just don't act like her age. But well I don't have problem with people who talk, smile or walk like Mae Ri... but I have problems with people talking about marriage at such young age... emmm jealous maybe hahaha.

Kim Jae Wook as Jung In is definitely look good but sometimes awkward too... I don't know why but he just look awkward... but still look good.... on my normal state of mind if I were Mary... I'll choose him... why? because he's rich? No because he loves Mary. But of coz there is a moment when he just off that feelings which makes me once again think Mu Gyul is the one... aaah Mary is having a hard time... now I know ^^

There is another things that I like... their friendship...  Mae Ri friends and Mu Gyul Friends were cool. They've become friend in no time. They click so well which helps so much in one relationship...

Overall I just like 'Mary Stay Out All Night!' Even when I'm complaining to such and such things... still I can't deny it... I am having a great moment watching them.

The OST is awesome... the storyline is great, the cast is perfect!
What can I say... They're just ROCK!

2010 KBS Drama Awards

First of all...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wish 2011 be A great year for all of us!

Now let's back to the topic...
I've watch the whole ceremony even when I'm in the middle of my own event... Hahaha
How did I do that? thanks to our digital world... nothing is impossible but of coz it's not something I proud doing of but well what can I say... I just can't miss it (^^)

I should say nothing surprise me for this year award, everything is just perfectly fit with what I have in mind. When they announced the nominees I started pointing who will win and it just come out with the same result hahaha.... I'm good at pointing and pick  ^^

The Daesang Award goes to Jang Hyuk... I'm happy with that... if he didn't get it I might end up angry till now.

I'm proud with Moon Geun Young... she never disappoint me and with her character in 'Cinderella's Sister' and 'Mary Stay out All Night', I can't see any other reason that she can't win the Top Excellence Actress, that goes the same with Park Yoo Chun, he deserve to win the Newcomer Award.... why? comparing him with other nominees... he have less experience in acting and he really doing good in 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal'... of coz there is a moment when my fan-girling instinct showed up... I hope Yoo Ah in can win it but that can't beat my rational thinking...

Overall, all the winner deserved their award winning. I'll argue nothing about it... well at least that's what I think... so what do you think?

Jang Geun-suk Says "Minamishineyo," "Mary" Completely Different

In upcoming TV series "Marry me, Mary," Jang Geun-suk may be reprising his role from his last drama "Minamishineyo" where he played the vocalist of a rock band but the actor says the two shows and his characters are anything but similar.

Jang made the remark at a press conference for his new drama held in Seoul on Wednesday, saying that the two shows are completely different; the former based on marriage for people in their 20s and the latter a music drama which shows the process of how an idol band grows.

In "Mary," main female character Mary played by Moon Geun-young, makes realizations about love and herself while being in two fake marriages for 100 days to completely different men -- Mugyul played by Jang and Jungin by model-actor Kim Jae-wook.

"Minamishineyo" was about a girl who pretends to be a man to join popular idol group A.N.JELL which is headed by Jang's character Tae-kyung.

Jang stressed that the two have no similarities either and are “rather likely to be from different worlds, from opposite sides of the globe."

"Tae-kyung is unlikely to exist in real life, being cartoon-like from his form of speech to his actions and he doesn't open himself up to anyone," Jang explained of the character who was a perfectionist and so much of a nut about cleanliness that he would not let anyone close to him physically, let alone his heart.

"But Mugyul is like a street cat. He'll sleep anywhere, even outside if he gets drunk, and he's free-spirited," the actor said of his "Mary" character who he described as the type to 'go for anything.' "He'll also easily date around but a month per girl would be his maximum. He won't actually fall in love with anyone because he has been hurt."

Jang then confessed he fell for the drama as soon as he laid eyes on the script in April and had to plead producers not to hand the script to anyone else.

The 20-part show is based on a comic of the same name by Won Soo-yeon, the original cartoonist for 2004 smash-hit drama "Full House" which starred Asian superstar Rain and actress Song Hye-kyo.

The actor was also all praises for his co-star Moon Geun-young, whom he said he was honored to work with and “clicked” with as soon as he saw her. The two are both 23 and have led similar career paths, debuting as child actors more than ten years ago.

"I yelled 'hooray' the moment I found out Moon was cast for the show. I was sure we'd be able to learn a lot from each other and make something that is more of our own, something I usually didn’t get to do since I’m usually the youngest one on set, and I also felt that she'd be someone I could really talk to," Jang remarked excitedly.

He then said, "The funny thing is, I had thought up so many things to say to her for the first time we met but we actually felt awkward until we started drinking and finally both blurted to each other 'I really wanted to work with you.'"

Moon agreed. “Of course I was mesmerized with the role I’d be playing but the fact that I knew Jang was cast in the show played a big part in my decision.”

"Mary," targeted at viewers not just in Korea but around Asia, has been pre-sold to China and Taiwan at record high prices ahead of going on air November 8.

Jang however, did not see any particular significance in the drama as a Hallyu, or Korean Wave content. "It would be great for the show to become known throughout Asia but what's more crucial is that it shows our culture the way it is in an honest yet fun way."

Jang Geun-seok and Moon Geun-yeong's Wedding Photo Shoots

Wedding photographs from upcoming KBS TV series "Marry Me, Mary," starring Korean stars Moon Geun-young and Jang Keun-suk, have been revealed.

The show's promoter Ytree media on Friday released several pictures of the main character Mary (Moon) donning a short white wedding gown with a pink sash and Moo-kyul (Jang) wearing a black tuxedo.

Earlier this week, Ytree unveiled a picture of Mary in her wedding attire placed between Moo-kyul and Jung-in (played by Kim Jae-wook).

"I thought Mary (Moon) looked very pretty today (laugh) and I thought I looked pretty good as well. I had so much fun on set and I hope the audience will enjoy watching the show," Jang was quoted as saying.

Based on the online comic by famed writer Won Soo-yeon, "Marry Me" is about Mary who makes realizations about love and herself while being in two fake marriages for 100 days to completely different men - Moo-kyul and Jung-in.

"Marry Me, Mary" will premiere on November 8 after current drama "SungKyunKwan Scandal," starring Park Yuchun finishes its run.
