MC Mong tops music charts with sixth album

The embattled South Korean hip-hop artist MC Mong, who was once mired in controversy over draft evasion, topped major local music charts with his latest track for the second straight day.

As of Tuesday morning, the title track “Did you miss me?,” off his sixth full-length album “Miss Me or Diss Me,” took the No.1 spot on all ten online real-time music charts including Naver Music, MelOn, Daum and Mnet after its release on Monday.

The 13-track album comes five years after the release of his previous full-length album, “Humanimal” in 2009. The punky title song, featuring Jinsil of vocal group Mad Soul child, tells of MC Mong’s inner conflicts before he returned to the K-pop scene.

MC Mong’s unexpectedly strong performance on the music charts surprised the K-pop scene as the public anger towards him still remains over his alleged draft dodging.

The 35-year-old rapper kept low for nearly four years after being charged with deliberately delaying his military duty in 2010.

MC Mong allegedly paid dentists to pull out two of his teeth to be exempted from the mandatory military service, although he claimed that the teeth removal was for medical reasons.

Given the persistent public outcry, it remains unclear whether he will make any appearance on TV to promote his album.

MC Mong debuted as a member of the hip-hop group People Crew in 1998. The artist rose to prominence after appearing on the MBC sitcom “Non-Stop 4.” After he launched his solo career as a rapper in 2004, his upbeat music and comedic style gained broad popularity.

Asked what he usually does to relax, the actor said, “When there’s no work, I’m really lazy. I just veg out.”

“I’m kind of a dry person. I don’t meet people often since it is tiresome (to go out). Lee Min-ho also has a similar personality, so he usually keeps indoors too. We always make an appointment and cancel it, saying ‘It bothers me (to go out), let’s meet another time.’ We’ve done it a number of times,” he added.

Lee Sung Kyung Talks About The Gong Hyo Jin And Jo In Sung Dating Rumors

Actress Lee Sung Kyung, who played Jo In Sung”s teenage stalker in “It”s Okay, It”s Love,” had something to say about the recently published photographs featuring the actor and his co-star actress Gong Hyo Jin.

The photographs, which appeared in the Dispatch, heightened rumors that the actor and Gong Hyo Jin were dating. The two actors co-starred in “It”s Okay, It”s Love,” playing a couple. He was a mystery writer suffering from delusions and she played the psychiatrist who fell in love with him.

The drama ended on Sept. 11. A week later Gong Hyo Jin broke up with actor Lee Jin Wook, her boyfriend of a year. Two weeks later, Jo In Sung broke up with actress Kim Min Hee. Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee had been dating since April 2013.

Representatives from Kim Min Hee”s agency cautioned that no one should jump to conclusions. The obvious conclusion was that both Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung ended their respective relationships after growing closer on the set of “It”s Okay, It”s Love,” but both their agencies deny that the two are involved in a romantic relationship. They are only friends.

When the photographs showing Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin out at a café were published in the Dispatch, some assumed that the actors were caught on a date together. But Kim Ki Bang and But Lee Sung Kyung were also present and Lee says that the gathering was a cast celebration.

The actress told Newsen that the cast members are like family and the photographs were taken a casual get together that Lee Kwang Soo was also supposed to attend.

“Lee Kwang Soo was also supposed to come but he couldn't because his shooting ended too late.”

She stressed that all the cast members became close during the filming of the drama. Although staff members traveled to Thailand together for a vacation following the end of the drama, the cast did not have any official celebration. So, they got together for some drinks at a café in Itaewon. When Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin were photographed, Lee Sung Kyung was standing close to Gong Hyo Jin discussing whether they should share a cab. It was late.

“It was really nothing,” said Lee Sung Kyung.”

Kim Min Hee”s agency says that she and Gong Hyo Jin are still good friends.

Jo In Sung And Kim Min Hee Break Up: But Don't Jump To Any Conclusions

Days after Gong Hyo Jin broke up with her boyfriend actor Lee Jin Wook, her “It”s Okay It”s Love” co-star Jo In Sung has broken up with his girlfriend actress Kim Min Hee.

But, say representatives from Kim Min Hee”s agency, that coincidence does not mean you should jump to any conclusions.

Jo In Sung”s agency IOK Company and Kim Min Hee”s agency have both confirmed that the stars ended their relationship. The companies issued a joint official statement.

“This is our official statement concerning the headlines involving Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee,” said a release by IOK Company. “We”ve confirmed that due to their individual activities, schedules and busy daily lives, the two naturally drifted apart and naturally broke up.”

The statement also added that it was important not to jump to conclusions. The obvious conclusion might have been that both Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung ended their respective relationships after growing closer on the set of “It”s Okay, It”s Love.” In that drama he played a mystery writer suffering from delusions and she played the psychiatrist who falls in love with him. But. Say the agencies, their drama relationship has nothing to do with reality.

“We find it unfortunate that speculations and false details that have not been checked have been exaggerated in articles. Please refrain from reporting on details that have not been confirmed. We plan on taking strong action against news outlets that report unrelated details, so please report the news carefully.”

The rumors may have originated with photographs that appeared in the Korean media outlet “Dispatch.” On Sept. 24, the Dispatch showed a photo of Jo In Sung, Kim Ki Bang and Gong Hyo Jin out at a café in Itaewon, Seoul, on the previous night. But it”s not news that Jo in Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Sung Kyung and the other actors from “It”s Okay It”s Love” are close.

Both agencies deny that Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin are dating.

According to his management company, “Jo In Sung has continued his friendship with Gong Hyo Jin after becoming friends while filming their drama together.”

Soop Entertainment also released a statement on the gossip that arose from the Dispatch photos.

“The two became closer as friends while filming the drama. That meeting was just a casual meet-up to socialize among friends.”

Kim Min Hee and Gong Hyo Jin are also good friends.

Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Jin Wook dated for less than a year, going public with their relationship in May. Jo In Sung began dating Kim Min Hee in April 2013.

Dispatch spots Jo In Sung with Gong Hyo Jin, rumored to have broken up with Kim Min Hee

Actor Jo In Sung has been spotted with his “It”s Okay, That”s Love” co-star Gong Hyo Jin by Dispatch, sparking dating rumors as well as further fueling rumors that he”s broken up with his publicly acknowledged girlfriend Kim Min Hee.

Media outlet Dispatch reported on September 24, “Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin,Kim Ki Bang, and more were photographed having a good time at a cafe in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the night of the 23rd.” Photos of Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, and their acquaintances were also revealed.

After the news made headlines, Jo In Sung”s agency IOK Company responded,“Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Sung Kyung, and other actors from SBS” “It”s Okay, That”s Love” team are very close. On the night the photos were taken, they were all hanging out together.”

At the same time, there have been reports by an alleged insider that Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee are not together, but are still on good terms. On the rumors that Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee were no longer in a relationship, the agency stated, “Jo In Sung and Kim Min Hee are not broken up. They”re still dating well.”

Kim Hyun Joong”s ex-girlfriend denies any discussion or reception of settlement money in assault case

“A,” the ex-girlfriend who recently filed for the withdrawal of her lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong on the grounds of assault on September 17, made it clear that there were no negotiations or talks over settlement money.

Her attorney told Star News on September 18, “Settlement money was never spoken of from the moment we received this case to the present moment. Without settlement money, we decided to withdraw the lawsuit after receiving the apology from Kim Hyun Joong.”

Her attorney stated, “Our client and Kim Hyun Joong did not simply date one or two times, but sincerely loved each other throughout two years of dating. It”s funny to ask him for money, and there was no reason to accept it even if it had been offered.

Assault is assault, but the problem was that her pride as a woman was hurt. That was why she wanted a sincere apology. Kim Hyun Joong showed regret and we received an apology from him, so she withdrew the lawsuit on the grounds she did not desire punishment.”

Kim Hun Joong posted an apology on his official website on Monday.

Singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong, 28, well known for his role in the KBS drama “Boys over Flowers” (2009), posted an apology on his official website Monday after being accused late last month of beating his ex-girlfriend on numerous occasions earlier this year.

“I feel so sorry to have physically and mentally hurt the person I loved and trusted for the past two years”, he wrote in the statement, in reference to his ex-girlfriend who, according to local media, is not a celebrity.

“I feel ashamed, as a man, to have committed an act I shouldn't have”, he continued, adding that the series of abuse was “completely” his fault. “I beg her for mercy. Having learned from this experience, I will try to live more righteously in the future”.

As of noon yesterday, local media reported that Kim”s ex-girlfriend is currently considering withdrawing the suit.

The case, which dates back to Aug. 22, has tarnished the princely image of the star. It began when a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend filed a police complaint charging that the singer had repeatedly beaten her over the course of several months.

Local media was soon flooded with reports that one altercation had left her with a broken rib.

Before the star acknowledged he had committed physical abuse, he announced through his agency, Key East, that the broken rib was accidental and due to a “prank”.

Kim Hyun Joong Issues Apology to “A,” Charges Might Be Dropped

Singer Kim Hyun Joong has issued a statement apologizing to his girlfriend, referred to as “A,” for physically assaulting her.

On September 15, the following message was posted on the singer’s official homepage:

Hello. This is Kim Hyun Joong.

Through this incident, I have caused serious mental and physical injuries to a person that I have trusted and loved for two years, and I am deeply sorry for that.

I feel deeply embarrassed of myself for doing things a man should not do.

As this whole case is a consequence of my wrongdoing, that person has no reason to be criticized.

I apologize to her once again, and I want to express my apologies to her family and friends as well.

Above all, I hope she will accept my apology and forgive me.

I will learn from this incident by doing my best to live a more well-behaved and healthy life.

Last week, on September 12, “A” demanded Kim Hyun Joong to apologize and admit to physically assaulting her. Now, the lawyer of “A” has come forward with their official response to the apology.

Lawyer Sun Jong Mun revealed to news outlet Newsen during a phone call: “It is exceptional that a celebrity admits to the allegations after being charged. The plaintiff ["A"] must now assess the sincerity of Kim Hyun Joong’s apology, and then decide whether to drop the charges or not.”

“As we originally wanted Kim Hyun Joong to admit to the physical assaults, self-reflect, and apologize, we are actively inquiring into dropping the charges without any terms,” the lawyer concluded.

[Fanfic] Noona, I Don't Want To Say Goodbye

Heavy footsteps in the middle of the silence dawn woke Hwang Bo up. She bolted on the couch and narrowed her eyes to see the shadow clearly in the dark. She recognized the disoriented figure who seemed to drag his feet in rushed small steps as Hyun Joong. "Hyun Joong ah.." she called him softly as she did not want to wake up the others who were sleeping on the floor. Hyun Joong was really disoriented. He almost bumped into the wall. Hwang Bo thought he was sleep-walking until she heard he called her name.

"Hwang Buin.." Hyun Joong rubbed his tired eyes. He carefully watched his steps when he walked towards the couch. The crew members were sleeping on the floor. Some were sharing the other room and some were cramping with him. Sometimes he wondered why they needed so many crews ranging from PD to hair stylists to wardrobe manager to everyone else. He did not even recognize half of them. "Ar.. You are still here," he said as he sat next to Hwang Bo.

She thought about Hyun Joong's question as she removed the deeply sleeping Jins to her side. "Are you all right?" asked Hwang Bo. Of course she was still there. Where else would she go at this time in Busan? She did not get any reply for her question.

Hyun Joong took in a deep breath. It was a dream after all. When he had told Hwang Bo he would dream of her, he did not expect he really would. It was not a pleasant dream. He had a nightmare. In his nightmare, Hwang Bo had told him that she wanted to leave him for another man. Hyun Joong sighed lowly. He could not see clearly who that man was but he was 101% sure the other man was one of Hwang Bo's disrespectful dongsaeng who publicly announced on national TV he would like to date or marry Hwang Bo.

Hwang Bo repeated her question, louder this time as she thought he did not hear it when she whispered the first time. To her surprise, Hyun Joong grabbed her hand and led her to the balcony. Although the air outside was cold and the sun was a couple of hour away from rising, she went with him because Hyun Joong, despite being fully awake, was still a bit disoriented.

"Let's talk where we will not wake everyone up." Hyun Joong closed the sliding glass door behind them.

"What is it you want to talk about?" Hwang Bo asked as they both sat on the balcony with their backs against the sliding glass door.

Hyun Joong groaned. Now that he could think clearly, the nightmare seemed immature to be talked about with Hwang Bo. After a long pause, he finally said something. "Noona.. You know I'll be away for the drama, right?" he said, gulping a bit before uttering his next sentence. "Don't look at other guys," he continued sternly.

She laughed out loud, somewhat flailed on the floor. Hwang Bo leaned her back against Hyun Joong as if it was something natural between them. She slightly tilted her head up to glance at Hyun Joong. "Ya!" She started to fire up once she composed herself from all the laughing. "I should be saying that, not you!" Hwang Bo scolded him in fake anger.

Hyun Joong chuckled. His shoulders moved vigorously as Hwang Bo leaned against him. He lifted his arm and naturally put it around Hwang Bo's shoulder. He grinned when Hwang Bo snuggled comfortably in his arms. Their time together was getting shorter. Although the separation will be temporary, he dreaded the time he would not be able to see Hwang Bo in person.

"I'm sorry but.. Can you call me once in a while?" Hwang Bo asked. She was struggling to complete the sentence without pausing between each word. She felt bad asking him to do that as she knew he would be tired and drained out from filming the drama. Even now, when he was busy learning horse riding and playing violin between filming with her, he could barely open his eyes. Hwang Bo gritted her teeth, feeling regretful about her request.

"Call you?" he asked.

Hwang Bo immediately brought her hands together into a huge X and said, "No. No. No. Don't call.."

"Three times a day," Hyun Joong said, cutting short Hwang Bo's sentence.

Her eyes almost popped out when she heard the promise coming from Hyun Joong. She instantaneously shifted to face him. "Really?" Her voice was bursting with excitement.

Hastily, Hyun Joong bobbed his head. "I'll think of Noona three times a day." That promised earned him a hard whack on his shoulder. He initially flinched, trying to block it but later changed his mind. He merely chuckled when he saw Hwang Bo's deadly glare and pouted lips.

"Then.. How many times are you calling me a day?" she insisted to know. She was somewhat frustrated she would not hear his voice on the phone three times a day as she thought he initially promised her.

His forehead wrinkled when he tried to think of a number.

She sighed. "Why do you even have to think about it?" She expected the answer to come out naturally from him. But when he took time to think about it, she has a feeling his answer would not be sincere. It would be force from him to please her. Her second sigh was louder than the previous sigh.

Obviously, Hwang Bo was upset with him. He could tell from her sigh and expression. Hyun Joong did not dare to make promises. He was warned ahead about the busy schedule. He doubted he would have time for luxury meal or leisure sleep. He could not promise Hwang Bo anything. His eyes blinked a few times as he continued to ponder the answer.

Hwang Bo patted Hyun Joong's knee a couple of time to assure him that she was not anticipating anything from him. "It's OK." She gave him a sweet smile.

All the bones in his body turned weak by the mere smile. He returned her smile with a wide grin. "Does Noona like odd number or even number?" he asked, putting up his left and right index fingers respectively.

"Odd number." She lightly touched the tip of his left index with her index finger.

"Arrh.. You are very lucky."

"Why? Why am I lucky?"

"Because I like odd number too. We have so many things in common," he concluded. "So, Noona.. We are already in this relationship. We also have many things in common too. Let's date openly then," he requested. It was the same request he had make to Hwang Bo a couple of time before. Hyun Joong was never granted that request by Hwang Bo.

"Aishee.. Do you like me this much because my aegyo was too cute?" She sighed in frustration. "I already warn you not to." She paused. Her playful tone turned serious suddenly. "You are too young for this. This can wait. We can wait. I can wait."

"I'm not. I don't want to wait."

"Hyun Joong ah, what's your hurry?" she asked, somewhat flabbergasted by his stubbornness. Hyun Joong was not quick enough to answer her before she fired another question. "Why are you so unreasonable? Don't just think about yourself. Think about me!"

Hyun Joong heaved a sigh too. Hwang Bo was so insecure. It was always like this since the beginning. There was nothing he could do or say to convince her that he would protect her at all cost. "I'm going crazy," he said. "If I'm not younger than you, then will it be OK?" He too felt insecure with their relationship. Hwang Bo was well liked by everyone, guys especially. But he had enough faith in her and in their relationship. He wished she would have faith in him too.

Hwang Bo hung her head low. Hyun Joong and she seemed to be conversing in different language. She had told him times and times again that age was never the problem. Since him, she had learned to accept a younger man. She wanted him to explore his idol life and do many things now before thinking deeply about her or their relationship. "Even if I'm 6 years younger than you, we still have to wait. This has got nothing to do with age," Hwang Bo said, exasperated. For a moment, she thought he understood her when she saw Hyun Joong nodded his head with wrinkled forehead, looking very deep in thought.

"If you are 6 years younger than I, you'll be 17 then. We will definitely have to wait for you to finish high school."

Although it was not funny, Hwang Bo laughed out loud when he uttered it. Hyun Joong's harsh tone made him sound like he was scolding a fan girl who had just confessed her love to him. "Hyun Joong ah.." she whined, trying to get him focus on their discussion. "If you are not an idol, then.."

"Actually Noona.. When you are not around, I feel lonely. Really," he emphasized when Hwang Bo raised an eyebrow at him. "What fun is it if there's no one to bully."

She threw her head backward and heaved a heavy sigh of frustration. "Is that what I am too you? Someone to bully? Is that why you make me try all those clothes you hate? And do cute act in my dance?" She sounded like she was about to explode in rage.

Hyun Joong stared at her with blank expression. He had perfected this expression to hide his true feeling. He felt lonely without his Hwang Buin because he missed her. He missed her laughter and the laughs they shared together. "That's not it," he denied. Yet, Hyun Joong still could not speak what was in his heart. "I'm just lonely when you are not around." Then he shrugged, as if it was not important.

Tears came easily to Hwang Bo lately. She would be force by circumstances to separate from him. Although it would do them both good, but she felt heartbroken. She knew Hyun Joong felt the same too.

"Are you crying?" Hyun Joong asked Hwang Bo. Although he asked in a teasing tone, there was a hint of surprise and concern in that tone. He leaned forward, extending his neck to catch a glimpse at her expression.

Hwang Bo denied it forcefully and turned her face sideways to hide from him. "I'm not." She tilted her head a little to force the tears not to fall. She touched underneath her eyes and ran her finger there to clear the traces of tear. "Arrhh.. This place is dusty. We must make complain to the resort management," she said, faking a cheerful voice. She was laughing alone at the joke.

Hyun Joong stared into the space in silence. Or in their infamous married life, it would be called awkwardness. "Hwang Bo shi!" Hyun Joong called her name and smiled at the same time. He pushed her up and stood up himself too. "Hwang Bo shi.. Don't cry. Ahjussi will buy you ice cream, OK? Do you like that?" he asked cheerfully.

Instantaneously, as he expected, she fell on the ground and hid her face on her laps. Hyun Joong grinned and chuckled lightly. The bright smile and the merry laugh had returned. He put his hands on her elbows and helped her up.

"Ice cream? Really?" Hwang Bo asked him. Ice cream in winter did not sound like a bright idea but as long as it meant spending time with Hyun Joong, Hwang Bo would agree to it without any hesitation.

He nodded. Hyun Joong placed his hand on her back and lightly pushed Hwang Bo to walk forward with him. "Take Jins with us," he suggested and tenderly gazed at her, trying to observe her expression. She was genuinely smiling again. The smile that he would be missing. "Noona, there's something I want to do.."

"What is it?"

Hyun Joong smiled shyly. "Close your eyes and don't peek."

She glanced at him suspiciously with narrowed eyes. She gave up and closed her eyes tightly when he insisted it would not happen with her eyes opened.

Hyun Joong took in a deep breath and muttered out he was nervous. It made Hwang Bo laughed and she peeked, making Hyun Joong wagered his index at her in scolding fashion. When Hwang Bo asked him to be quick because she was eager to know what he wanted to do, Hyun Joong pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly.

Hwang Bo was so shocked when Hyun Joong embraced her. Her eyes were wide opened with disbelief. Her jaw dropped. She was too stunned to do anything and in a split second, Hyun Joong let go of her.

It was brief but he managed to smell the scent of her shampoo, to hear her rhythmatic breathing and to feel her heart beat. Still smiling timidly and to some extend, blushing, he told her, "When you feel sad, you will remember that hug and you will smile like now." It would be something for him to hold on to until they met again.

As if that was a cue, a smile formed on Hwang Bo's lips. A coy smile yet filled with bliss. He would wait just like she would. Hwang Bo knew that for sure. What they shared between them was too beautiful to be wasted. She had dated her previous boyfriend in secret for 8 years before. Hwang Bo knew she could do the same with Hyun Joong to protect his budding career. "Let's elope with Jins before the others wake up," she said with a wide smile.

Jang Geun Suk Stirs Up Trouble at Public Camping Site

Recently, Jang Geun Suk’s misbehavior at a public camping site was reported. On August 16, Jang Geun Suk and his group of friends went on a camping trip to Gyeonggi Province. However, the way they behaved on this trip brought on a lot of public criticism. According to other campers that were present that day, the group created a lot of ruckus with loud music and partying that lasted throughout the night.

A camper that was near the group, Mr. Kim, revealed in an interview, “Jang Geun Suk and his group of friends received a lot of complaints from other campers that were in their vicinity due to their late night partying. Turning off the lights at 11 p.m. is basic etiquette among campers, but they didn’t seem to respect that etiquette. Rather, they had the headlights of their cars on and music blaring, which disturbed the peaceful quiet of the camping site.”

According to Mr. Kim, Jang Geun Suk and his group of friends, who all seemed to be around their 20s, took a spot deeper into the woods. Regardless, because he is such a star, many in the vicinity recognized him. The public opinion is that since he had realized that many of the other campers had noticed who he was, he should have taken even more care in his behavior.

After arriving, the group soon behaved like the site was their own personal camping ground. Their barbecue party lasted into the night past 1 a.m., everyone enjoying their drinks and music. As their drinking party continued, their voices got louder and louder to the point where a fellow camper woke up and complained, asking them to “please stop and go to bed.” Eventually the party was broken up but at this point too many of the other camping families had woken to the ruckus.

The loudness of the party wasn’t the only factor that caused the other campers to complain. One of Jang Geun Suk’s friends had decided to turn on the headlights of one of Jang Geun Suk’s cars, and these headlights had been directed at other campers’ tents. One by one each of the camping families said something to the group, asking them to stop, but despite their numerous efforts, the group’s party didn’t seem to end. An additional complaint by the families was that some of the male members of the group had taken their shirts off and were wandering around the camp site, making some of the families uncomfortable, since many of them had children present with them as well.

According to Mr. Kim, “At the time most of the campers at the site knew that Jang Geun Suk was camping there as well. One of the ladies had gone to ask Jang Geun Suk for a photo but she came back empty-handed because he had refused, saying that it was his private life. I’m wondering why Jang Geun Suk wasn’t careful with his behavior when he was obviously aware that many of the campers had recognized him. I, too, had gone camping with my family to have a time of rehabilitation and bonding. However, this opportunity had gone to waste because of Jang Geun Suk and his friends. I was fond of him as a Hallyu star but through his incident I’ve become disappointed.”

Jang Geun Suk’s management agency released a statement on this matter, saying, “Jang Geun Suk had gone camping with his friends as a summer vacation trip. He hadn’t seen them in a long time so he had unintentionally caused some trouble at the site out of excitement for a long-awaited break. He had apologized on site after receiving the complaints but we apologize for not taking care as a well-known public figure.”

Some pictures of the camping site were released, which you can view here.

Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk had recently returned to Korea after completing a performance at the “A-Nation” music festival on August 15.

* I can only say... he need  to fix this. I don't see how popularity give people right to do whatever they want. Sorry Jang Geun Suk, I'm not on your side for this.

Up Coming Movie: My Palpitating Life / Pit-A-Pat, My Life 두근두근 내 인생 (Doogeundoogeun Nae Insaeng)

Can't wait for this movie. And I wonder how good Song Hye Kyo really swear and I've missed Kim Dong Won too. So this movie is on my top list.

Kang Dong Won and Song Hye Kyo will star in upcoming movie ‘Pit-A-Pat, My Life’ (director: Lee Jae Yong; production: Zip Cinema).‘Pit-A-Pat, My Life’ is directed by Lee Jae Yong who previously did ‘An Affair’ and ‘Untold Scandal’, while Kang Dong Won and Song Hye Kyo reunites as a couple once again having worked together previously for the 2010 omnibus movie ‘Camellia – Love For Sale’.Kang Dong Won stars as Dae Soo who already has a 16 year old son at the age of 33. Although hot-blooded, impulsive, thick-skinned, and insensitive, he loves his child very much. Compared to his previous slick city roles, Kang Dong Won takes on a role as a normal person, and a doting father.Song Hye Kyo who shone in her role as a blind woman in the drama ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’ earlier this year, plays the role of Mi Ra in her new movie. She also ditches her usual polished and stable style, and become an unwed mother at the age of 17, as she faces up bravely to the task of raising her child.‘Pit-A-Pat, My Life’ is based on the novel of the same name by Kim Ae Ran, and revolves around a young couple who are both 17 years old and their baby A-Reum. They soon learn that A-Reum has Progeria syndrome, which is a rare genetic defect that shows advanced aging from an early age. Kim Ae Ran’s humorous way of writing and calm perspective in writing the story, has made the novel become a best-seller by selling 140,000 copies in 3 months. The movie is scheduled to begin filming early next year.By: Kang Da Ryung
