K-pop star Nichkhun caused a stir on the Internet on Wednesday, after a video of his former high school in New Zealand, also attended by British royal Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex, was revealed.
A video of the prestigious Wanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand was posted on an online community website, after the idol mentioned in a recent interview that he had attended the institute.
Wanganui Collegiate School was founded by the Governor of New Zealand, Sir George Grey in 1852. It was originally an all-boys school and became co-educational in 1999.
Some of the notable alumni that attended Wanganui includes Robin Cooke the Baron Cooke of Thorndon, Fijian statesmen Sir Lala Sukuna and famed geologist Patrick Marshall.
Fans who have seen the images of Wanganui responded, "Wow, Nichkhun is truly high class" and "The exterior and backdrop of the school matches Nichkhun."
Nichkhun, whose full name is Nichkun Buck Horvejkul, is a Thai-American singer who was discovered and trained by JYP Entertainment. He made his debut as one of the singers and rappers for six-member boy band 2PM.
The group recently wrapped up promotions for "I'll Be Back" from their mini-album "Still 2:00PM” which topped various online and offline music charts since its release on October 11.
