Lee Seung Gi spent his birthday with tears of pain rather than happiness.

On the January 29th episode of KBS 2TV’s ’1 Night 2 days’, the fishing boat special continued as themembers fought with the bad weather and sea sickness to catch fish.

Uhm Tae Woong was on the squid ship, Kim Jong Min on the chambok ship, Lee Soo Geun on the Daegae ship, Eun Ji Won on the agui ship, and Lee Seung Gi on the octopus ship. Kim Jong Min, Lee Soo Geun, and Lee Seung Gi were all seasick. Kim Jong Min suffered for 30 minutes and the staff were suffering as well.

Lee Soo Geun couldn’t hide his bewilderment at the massive waves. A female staff, PD Yoo Jung Ahalong with many other staff members couldn’t balance themselves and started tripping on deck. Lee Soo Geun then spoke, “PD Yoo Jung Ah is already knocked out cold from seasickness. We won’t be able to continue filming if the camera man goes down too”.

Lee Seung Gi who was celebrating? his birtday on the same day even showed tears. He was in excruciating agony as he tried to work through the seasickness. Finally with his face white he spoke, “You really gonna do this on my birthday? It’s the first time I had abdomen muscle cramp” and he shed tears making many viewers feel terrible for him.

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun’s” Expensive Hairpin Surprises Fans

In the fifth episode of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun,” Prince Lee Hwon (child actor Yeo Jin Goo) sneaks out of the palace to give a bedridden Heo Yeon Woo (child actress Kim Yoo Jung) the royal binyeo to show her his heart. He names the binyeo “the moon that embraces the sun” – describing that the sun (the red ball) as the king and the moon (the white pearl by the phoenix’s head) as the queen – and tells Yeon Woo that she is his one and only Queen.

A binyeo is an ornamental hairpin used to hold a hair bun in place. In the past, the material and design of the binyeo indicated the social status of the woman wearing it. A gold binyeo with a dragon or phoenix carved would indicate that the woman was part of the royal family.

After the episode aired, many netizens were curious as to whether the binyeo was made out of plastic or gold. It’s been revealed that Yeon Woo’s binyeo was indeed made out of real gold.

Netizens commented, “Gold is really expensive these days…It would have been really bad had they lost it haha,” “No wonder the binyeo looked so authentic,” and “Wow! That’s so awesome! That thing must cost a fortune!”

Because of its explosive popularity, MBC and the drama’s producers are currently discussing a possible four-episode extension for “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” It’s highly likely that MBC will grant the extension, especially because “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” has been doing so well. It achieved 18% (AGB Nielsen) viewership ratings for its first episode and reached 31.7% by its eighth.

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” stars Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, and Jung Il Woo and airs every Wednesday and Thursday nights on MBC at 9:55PM KST.

Han Ga In The Beautiful and Mysterious Female Shaman

Actress Han Ga-in announced an impressive first appearance in the MBC TV drama "The Sun and the Moon"as a beautiful and mysterious female shaman.

On the fifth episode of "The Sun and the Moon" on the 18th, Yeon-woo (Kim Yoo-jeong) parts with Lee Hwon (Yeo Jin-goo) and is on the verge of death after being chosen as the Crowned Princess but gets sick after drinking a dark magic drink made by Nok-yeong (Jeon Mi-seon).

Kim Yoo-jeong will step down from the drama starting on the 19th and Han Ga-in will appear as a female shaman who reappears 5 years later under the name of Wol.

Drama fans claim that Han Ga-in's goddess-like beauty and intelligent image is much synchronized with bright and thoughtful Yeon-woo's image.

Han Ga-in's management J One Plus said, "It's a hard job wearing only a thin Hanbok in this weather but the cast are being supported by their fans".

Meanwhile, "The Sun and the Moon" will start afresh with adult casts starting from the sixth episode and mellow-up the drama with Yeon-woo the female shaman, Hwon (Kim Soo-hyeon-I), Yang Myeong-gun (Jeong Il-woo) and warrior Woon (Seong Jae-rim).

Kim Yoo Jung to Yeo Jin Goo: “Try To Punish Me, You Babo!”

The child actors from MBC drama “The Moon That Embraces the Sun,” Kim Yoo Jung and Yeo Jin Goo, has sparked some interest online for their past twitter conversation.

On January 17, a netizen uploaded on an online community board an image under the title, “What Are You Two Doing?”

The image contained the twitter conversation between Kim Yoo Jung and Yeo Jin Goo.

Last year, on December 3, Yeo Jin Goo sent Kim Yoo Jung a message,
“Yoo Jung, oppa now has twitter now~”
to which Kim Yoo Jung replied with a short, “Babo*.” Upon seeing her response, Jin Goo quickly reacted, “Eh, how can you call oppa, babo! You want to get punished?!”

Kim Yoo Jung responded, “Try to punish me~ Punish me~ you, babo~.” Yeo Jin Goo answered her response with a confused, “Hul, how should I punish you?” causing laughter to those who were following their playful banter.

Netizens, too, seemed amused at the two child actors' twitter conversations. They left comments like, “Jin Goo must be very kind!”, “They have a really good relationship~ They’re so cute I think I’m going crazy,” and “What are you two really doing?”

Meanwhile, starting on January 19, cast members for “The Moon That Embraces the Sun” will change from child actors to adult actors, such as Han Ga In, Kim Soo Hyun, and Jung Il Woo.

#Babo’s meaning is similar to the word "stupid" but in a more endearing fashion.

Yoo Ah In Surrounded by Foreigners for Shooting of "Fashion King"

Actor Yoo Ah In was seen surrounded by big, black men in the middle of the Dongdaemun market streets. On January 17, a post was made in a famous online community forum titled, "Yoo Ah In Having a Conversation with Black Men?" along with some pictures.

In the pictures, Yoo Ah In is decked out in a chic, all-black outfit and was surrounded by black men, looking flustered. This picture was during the shooting for "Fashion King." Just like the drama title, Yoo Ah In can be seen with trendy fashion.

Netizens exclaimed, "Even when he is with foreigners, he looks strong," "I am going to go to Dongdaemun and wait for him," "His nose is so high-bridged, it can beat up Pinocchio," and more.

"Fashion King" will air in March.

"The Moon that Embraces the Sun" Director Praises ZE:A's Si Wan

Earlier today, director Kim Do Hoon of MBC’s “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” tweeted, “Si Wan is done with filming. If I had never met him, I don’t think it would have been possible for Heo Yeom to have received so much love and support from fans.” He added, “I want to applaud Si Wan for successfully debuting [as an actor]. Despite the tight schedule, he showed passion and sincerity towards the project.”

ZE:A’s Si Wan has become the dark horse of “idol actors” with his charismatic acting performance in “The Moon that Embraces the Sun.” He played the younger counterpart of Song Jae Hee’s Heo Yeom, a top scholar in the Joseon Dynasty and brother to heroine Yeon Woo (Kim Yoo Jung/Han Ga In).

“The Moon that Embraces the Sun” is a fantasy historical drama (sageuk) set in the Joseon Dynasty. King Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) and his half-brother Prince Yang Myung (Jung Il Woo) fall for the same girl, a shaman named Wol (Han Ga In). Wol, whose real name is Yeon Woo, was the Crowned Princess, betrothed to the Crowned Prince Lee Hwon. She was plotted against and “executed” by those who were both jealous and fearful of her beauty and wits as a young girl.

"The Moon that Embraces the Sun” drew in 23.2% and 23.4% ratings (AGB Nielsen) for its third and fourth episode respectively. Lead actors Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, Jung Il Woo, and others will make their grand appearance on January 25.

My Thoughts on: 71: Into The Fire

I don't know what takes me so long to watch this movie. If only I know how it makes me feel after watching it I wouldn't delay it this long.

This is an excellent movie. A true story based on 71 student soldier who fight on Korean War. The 71 student who successfully delayed the march of North Korean soldier for 11 hours. They might not the one who stop the North Korean but they've played an important role in that war.

The special effect did makes it look realistic but how the story developed and focusing on the 71 students is what grabbing my attention. How they developed their bond while fighting together, how they resolves their problems, how they become 1, how they followed the order without any guides, how one become a leader... this is what makes it an excellent movie. The way they didn't miss lead the story line makes it great.

Choi Seung-hyeon aka TOP (최승현) as student soldier general, Oh Jang-beom. A teenagers who suddenly become a leader to a group of 70 students. He have to fight his own fears and becoming fearless for his platoon. With his pure heart he leads the groups and become even stronger for them.

TOP's acting skills is remarkable. It is hard to believe that he don't really have a longer script, I realize that he speak less but his action makes you understand him. I think TOP represent Oh Jang Beom well. A teenager who have a lot of fear but yet can't even tell it, a teenager who keep missing his mom and write to her everyday knowing that he might not be able to meet her again, Oh Jang Beom is just a boy who have to be strong and fight for his country and TOP makes us realize that.

Kwon Sang Woo as Koo Kap Jo the trouble maker. One thing for sure, it is amazing how Kwon Sang Woo can still bring out the teenagers in him. Koo Kap Jo is a rebellious teenagers, he can't stand with people who have the communist label around them. His friend is his family, loosing one makes him goes insane. He always pick a fight with Oh Jang Beom, but indirectly he show his loyal to the leader and the group. He is a real fighter, who believe it is better to survive than to die but in the end he knows where he stand.

Kim Seung Woo as Kang Seok Dae. He is a general with a very warm heart. He wants to take care of everyone. He is indeed a great actor. Sorry nothing much to say about his character, but he feels like a father to everyone around him and that makes his role important to me.

Cha Seung-won as North Korean army general, Park Moo-rang. Since this is a South Korean movie, we have to believe that he is the bad guy. Again, I have nothing much to say about his role.

I'll re-write about it when I can figure it out ^^

Overall, it is a worth watching movie. Love it!

Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Il Woo, and Others Film “The Moon that Embraces the Sun”

MBC’s latest drama “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” has exceeded expectations, surpassing 20% viewership ratings by the third episode – even without the main leads. Last night, MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment” went behind the scenes of the popular series to catch a glimpse of its lead actors Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Il Woo, Nam Bo Ra, and Song Jae Hee.

For the first four episodes, the child actors have rocked the screen, receiving non-stop praises for their strong performances. Their strong acting, as well as the intriguing plot, has raised viewers’ expectations in what’s to come.

“Section TV Entertainment” caught up with Kim Soo Hyun, who plays King Lee Hwon; Jung Il Woo, who plays Prince Yang Myung; Nam Bo Ra, who plays Princess Min Hwa; and Song Jae Hee, who plays Heo Yeum. Director Kim Do Hoon revealed, “The adult actors started filming yesterday,” to which the four stars added, “Please continue to enjoy the show following the transition.”

She was plotted against and “executed” by those who were both jealous and fearful of her beauty and wits as a young girl.

Lead actors Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, Jung Il Woo, Nam Bo Ra, and Song Jae Hee will finally make their grand appearance on January 25. “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” drew in 23.4% ratings (AGB Nielsen) for its fourth episode last Thursday night.

[Fanvid] Heora - Moon Is Setting (The Moon That Embraces The Sun)

Veoh: Nonie4u

Finally! I'm back with new video. I thought I've given up doing more video, but this drama and the OST just inspired me once again. It might not be the best but still I'm satisfied with it. Thank to You Tube copyright I have to re-upload this video on Veoh.

English Translation:

On nights when the wind blows
I softly close my eyes
It feels like you are right next to me
Wordlessly, I follow you and walk
Although every day, I can't even approach you step by step

* The moonlight is setting,
A black moon is setting in my heart
It resembles me, who can't say anything
If I long for it so much and call out and call out
It's a memory that became blackened ash

A cold darkness is falling down
A small star is rising
I call out to you several times a day but
Why can't I hear an answer?
When I approach you step by step, you get further

* repeat

My foolish trust just gets bigger
I hate my increasing expectations
I hate my splitting heart
Help me, help me
Help this heart that is only filled with unhappiness

The moonlight is setting,
A black moon is setting in my heart
It resembles me, who can't say anything
If I long for it so much and call out and call out
It becomes blackened ash

* repeat

It becomes blackened tears that are falling
