Engine

This is the latest drama from Takuya Kimura...I've been waiting for this drama since I heard about the news...I got a chance to buy the DVD recently and....It's shows that Takuya is still the best....

Kimura Takuya's roles have had a lot of interesting and cool occupations in the past. He's been an airplane pilot, hockey player, public prosecutor... beautician... etc. Therefore, his role this time as a race car driver isn't too much of a stretch. This drama could probably write itself if it wanted to.

Kimura's (Kenzaki Jiro) character begins this drama as a second driver to a better driver in Europe. He used to be a star driver in Japan. Unfortunately, when he accidentally crashes into his first driver during a practice run, he loses his job and finds himself a washed up racer who is getting a little too old for the sport back in Japan. Because Kimura's characters always love their jobs with a boiling passion, he wants nothing as badly as to race again. He just needs that feeling he gets when he hears the sound of the engine and grips the steering wheel around a sharp turn. Unfortunately, his old racing team now has a better, younger driver and they don't need or want Kimura's character anymore.

He goes back to live at the home of his foster father and sister who raised him. They run a small orphanage-like home for unfortunate children whose parents can't take care of them. Koyuki (Mizukoshi Tomomi) plays a young caregiver who has just been hired there. The kids don't like her because she doesn't seem to understand their feelings and makes misguided attempts to help them. Kimura's character, on the other hand, was an orphan himself and is still very much like a big kid, so he is just what the kids need. Despite the fact that he hates children and just wants to get back into racing instead of helping out at the orphanage, he agrees to drive the orphanage's van and take the kids to school, etc. in exchange for being allowed to live there.

Kimura and Koyuki's characters are obviously set up for a romantic relationship. The two of them will end up together, and Kimura's character will have to go against the odds to become a champion racer again - because Kimura's characters can never give up what they love most.

Like most of Kimura's dramas, this one is pretty entertaining. There has been a surprisingly small amount of racing thus far in the drama, but that may change later on. The child characters are also very important as well, and that probably won't change much. I guess I was expecting a little more racing. Nevertheless, it's an entertaining drama altogether. Kimutaku fans and everyone else should enjoy this one.

Ing....

This is not a new movie and I've already watch it many times but couldn't find the way to describe how was the feeling after watching it...but all that I can say in here is that Ing...was all about how strong it goes the ties between mother and daugther relationship.

Im Soo Jung (Min-ah) has just been transfered from another school is a quite and keeps to herself living with her mother Lee Mi-sook (Mi-sook) who is widowed.

Min-ah is a high school student who has just been transferred from another school. She is quiet and keeps to herself as she has a deformed hand and has spent most of her life in the hospital battling a life-threatening disease. She lives with her mother Mi-sook, who is widowed. Mother and daughter share a close and intimate relationship, and Mi-sook wishes for Min-ah to experience all aspects of life, including first love.

Min-ah befriends Young-jae, the new neighbour downstairs, and starts to experience her first love. However, everything is short-lived as Min-ah finds out that she is dying...

18 vs 29

"The story tell us so much about the different between being an adult and teenage....When we become an adult most of us forgot about how to enjoyed ourself...we even forgot what we love most just to be an adult....It's an inspired drama that show how life keep changing and we never realize it..."

This drama is based on the internet novel "The 4321 Days We Shared" a heart-wrenching story about coming to terms with reality. The main characters are 29-year-old Yoo Hye-chan (played by Park) and her husband Kang Sang-young (played by Ryo). The story begins with Hye-chan getting into a car accident and mentally reverting to an 18-year-old girl when she suffers from retrograde amnesia. In the story, the character Kang Sang-young, who is the same age with Hye-chan and who married her after 10 years of dating, is a top-rated entertainer in Korea...

"1829" is based on Ji Su-hyeon's Internet novel "The 4321 Days We Shared." This drama takes the audience back to the 1990s. The main character of the drama, Yoo Hye-chan, 29, reverts mentally to an 18-year-old girl after having a car accident. As she recovers her memory and the relationship with her husband, Kang Sang-yeong, she goes through many hilarious and heart-moving moments.

Hye-chan, who was a beauty queen in high school, marries her former classmate Kang Bong-man. In 2005, she turns 29. But after a fierce fight with her husband, she heads to court to file for divorce, unable to control her rage anymore. On her way to court, her car clashes with a truck, and as a result she develops amnesia. She only remembers herself as a senior high schooler, when she was sassy and outgoing, and popular with her peers. As her memory reverts to her adolescent years, she suddenly becomes crazy about the dance group "Seo Tae Ji and Kids," which was popular with teenagers back in the ¡®90s. While looking strong on the surface, deep inside she is soft-hearted and feeble. She likes Jane Campion's movie "Piano" a lot. Although Kang Bong-man, nicknamed "Ice Prince," is the ideal of every girl in Hye-chan's school, she regards him as shallow. The guy she really likes is her senior, Jeong Shi-woo.

But in reality, Hye-chan's husband is Kang Bong-man, whom she despised so much in high school. He changes his name to Kang Sang-yeong when he becomes an actor. In the latter part of the drama, Hye-chan recovers her memory and pursues her dream of becoming a film director. When Hye-chan loses her memory, Sang-yeong becomes preoccupied with mending their shattered relationship. He collects all the messages they had exchanged in the past to help her remember who he is. The replays of Hye-chan's memories, which are presented in diverse ways, add to the drama's tantalizing plot.

Cast:

But on her way to court, she gets into a car accident, and when she wakes up she thinks she is 18. While physically she looks like a housewife in her late 20s, mentally she reverts to the age of 18. But as time goes by, she recovers her memory step by step.

Ryoo Su-yeong as Kang Sang-yeong/Bong-man

When his wife asks for a divorce out of the blue, he agrees to it because it hurts him a great deal. But finding that his wife has amnesia after the car accident, he makes every effort to help her recover her memory and mend their relationship. He is one of the most sought-after commercial film models and a famous entertainer.

~A Moment To Remember~

~A Moment To Remeber~

Beautiful Son Yae-Jin (The Classic) and handsome Jung Woo Sung (Musa, Mutt Boy) share A Moment to Remember! Su-Jin (Son Yae-Jin) and Chol-Su (Jung Woo-Sung) meet under seemingly average, normal circumstances. Su-Jin is exiting an affair with a married man, and Chol-Su is working for Su-Jin's father as a carpenter, and when they finally meet it's as if it was meant to be. Their love is affectionate and their marriage as close to perfect as can be...but is fate truly that kind? Su-Jin surprisingly contracts Alzheimer disease, and the tragic struggle they face both threatens and strengthens their love. But for how long? As Su-Jin's memory begins to leaves her, the disease they face may turn out to be too much for even a love as strong as theirs.

A Moment to Remember is the latest representative of Korea's stunningly popular tragic drama genre, and features two of the region's brightest stars. Son Yae-Jin shines as the tragically afflicted Su-Jin, and Jung Woo-Sung brings photogenic cool to the role of the supportive and loving Chol-Su.

At first I don't even bother about this movie...I already saw it in the market and without knowing what the story about I already knew this movie couldn't be a choice just because the cover did't really attract me...but then I really think I should watch it that was just because I couldn't find something new to watch...after watching it....I really feel glad I bought it...so this is what people say...

My Boyfriend Is Type B

~My Boyfriend is Type B~

~My Boyfriend is Type B~

~Lee Dong Gun & Han Ji Hye~
~Lee Dong Gun~

~Han Ji Hye & Lee Dong Gun~

Hey, I didn't know that people can see all the character only by looking at what type of blood you got...well some people do believe in such things and some people don't...but i'm not discussing about do i believe it or not....as always i rather tell you about the movie and that what i'm gonna do....

I've read so many reviews about this movie some people find it so much fun to watch it and some people felt dissapointed when watching it....well we are human so it's natural to actually have different taste...Just like the story of this movie...

It's about a young man with a bad attitude but sometimes could be so romantic and nice he's a man with blood is type B...What is it acctually with people with blood type B?

"People with Type B Blood are curious about and interested in everything. That's may be good, but they also tend to have too many interests and hobbies, and they tend to get all excited about something suddenly and then later drop it again just as quickly. But they do manage to know which of their many interests or loved ones are the ones that are really important, the ones they should hold on to. B Types tend to excel in things rather than just be average. But they tend to be so involved in their own world or become so carried away with something that they neglect other things. They have the image of being bright and cheerful, full of energy and enthusiasm, but some people think that they are really quite different on the inside. And it can also be said about them that they don't really want to have much real contact with others."

While Ha-mi is a girl who is sweet and naive...she's looking for a right guy and believe in fate...how come a sweet girl falling into someone with bad attitude...well it's maybe because she's a type A girl...Type A?

"Speaking broadly, it is said that people with Type A Blood are calm, composed, and very level-headed and serious. They have a firm character, and are reliable and trustworthy (and hardheaded). They think things over and make plans deliberately, and they plug away at things steadily and assiduously. They try to make themselves more like their own ideal of what they should be. A Types may look aloof or distant to others. They try to suppress their own emotions, and because they have continual practice in doing this, this makes them appear strong. But, actually, they have a fragile, nervous side, as well. They tend to be hard on people who are not of the same type, and so they consequently tend to be surrounded with people of the same temperament."

Well both of them fall in love instantly and at first you'll find out that this guy is a little bit childish but romantic and then he turn into someone that selfish and even annoying but still he actually a good guy...It's just that sometimes he's word is so mean and break Ha-mi heart...knowing about his attitude problem how could she still keep her heart for him?

"I've used to say this to my friend...when u think you're in love...you're acctually not in love...but when you feel it then thats what I call love...people always forget that when you fall in love you should not intend to change to be someone else...just change to be good enough for your couple and people around you..."

A Love To Kill

I don't know how people judge on this drama...I might be a little bit bias on this...well I'm a big fan of Bi Rain so that should tell why...well should say he act well too in here...but yeah sometimes he look a little bit awkward...especially when the part where he cry with anger infront of his brother altar...I think that part must be hard for him coz it does not look real...the feeling is not there...but still he act well in every other part Big Smile.

Characters :
-Bi/Rain/Jung Ji-Hoon as¸Kang Bok-Gu ; K-1 fighter

Bok-gu is a character who is dynamic in nature. Always in control and look cool in anyway. He grew up in a foster home/orphanage and always having a fight...because of his past, he live just to repay everything to a girl who save him from fire witch has cause the girl having a several damage on her skin. When he thought he could handle everything alright he realize that something just not right and there is no turning back for him. Trying to take revange for his brother who jumped from a building right infront of him, without knowing the truth behind the act. While trying to pursue his revange, without realizing it he is in love with a woman whom he should not love; his love is forbidden and inevitably tragic.

--Shin Mina as Cha Eun-Seok ; top movie star

Eun-seok is a well-loved and popular movie star in korea. She used to date bok-gu's older brother and deep inside her heart still waiting for her first love to rescue her from whatever miserable things happened to her, untill a tragedy happened when a gossip about her and Joon-sung was all over the net and things started turn her life up side down, she met with Bok-gu who work as her bodyguard and slowly learn to love again and living her first love memory without knowing Bok-gu identity.

She loved bok-gu from the very beginning and even put herself at risk to save bok-gu from a raging fire. she grew up with bok-gu in a foster home/orphanage, she is a person who try so hard in what ever she does...be it for money or love.

--Lee Ki-Woo as Joon-Sung ; engaged to eun-seok

He is the successor of a major financial trust. He is the person who couldn't accept a No answer...thought he should have what he want and act on his own willing...full of confident but sometimes out of control.

~Initial D~

I love this movie...well maybe i love it coz everything seem so fast...I really love the drifting scenes...I even love all the cast they seem to be very natural in theire role....and I have to say that Jay Chow is great in here...i think people will love this movie especially all the guys out there...

ABOUT INITIAL D:

Takumi, a delivery boy; Ryousuke, an engineer of speed; and Kyouichi, a professional racer: the three of them become duelists of drifts. For five years, 18-year-old Takumi has been delivering tofu in his father's obsolescent Toyota AE86 every morning. A glorious but unexpected victory awakens the competitive genes in his blood, while his overnight fame inevitably leads to hellraising races one after another, each one more perilous and exciting than the previous one. Too Beautiful To Lie

Today I have nothing to do...when I'm busy I almost have no time to make up my room so I take a chances to spend a little time in my favorite places....and the best part in my room is my rack of novel and cd's....I think it's been a while I didn't check out all my stuff then I found this DVD that I almost forgotten....

Too Beautiful to Lie is a great movies...simple comedy love story but I think there is a message in there...well people do lie...and almost every moment people lying about stuff, work and even love...but what kind of lie is it? can we call it a lie if it make things better? for me people lie when they think life is not perfect as they hope it to be....and people do lie when things getting bad....people also lie when they fall in love....people even lie to have a happy life....

Enjoy it and have a great day.....

Story: Ju Young-ju, an beautiful ex-con artist who has been recently released on parole, is planning to attend her sister's weeding. On her way she crosses path with Choi Hee-chul, a shy and unsure young man who is on his way to see his girl friend in Seoul. By a small series of unexpected events, the precious ring that Hee-chul planned to give to his girl friend end up in Young-ju possession, which at the same time, loose her bag. With only information she had chance to gather on Choi Hee-chul, she decides to find him, give him back the ring and take back her bag. However, at the moment of giving back the ring, her old lying habit kick back and obviously, hilarity and adventure ensues.

Review: Fans of Korean comedies are simply at a lost at the moment, with so many romantic comedies coming out recently; it is juts too hard to keep the pace with the many releases each month. The quality has suffered too as film scripts seem more like rushed jobs, intertwining cute stories with recycled themes (which most of the time came from some famous Korean internet story). Fortunately, most of the new South-Korean comedies are not too bad actually. However, it has been a while since a great one came out.

TOO BEAUTIFUL TO LIE is indeed an excellent comedy with a perfect balance between comedy, romance and drama. The story very entertaining all the way through and really becomes more and more interesting as it progresses. The many lies of the main character turns the people's lives upside down and you are really wondering how things will finally get solved. Of course, the outcomes of these types of films are usually easily predicted, like the situation that both main characters hate each other at the beginning, but will fall in love before the end. We saw this countless times before, but fortunately it is easily forgettable with the quality of the story. Again, have in mind that this is a romantic comedy and not the latest thriller inspired by a best selling book, so don't expect an incredible storyline. However, for a comedy, it holds its ground very well and I'm still surprised that no American company has bought the rights to remake this one yet, as the story is very universal.

Kim Ha-neul, who you might have had the chance to catch in MY TUTOR FRIEND, is back but this time in a more mature role. With her character of Ju Young-ju, she can show more of her serious acting ability and thankfully without loosing her innocent and charming glance. Her character is also the most emotional character as she is first perceived as a selfish person, but the more we learn about her the more we start to understand her change of emotions, especially towards Choi Hee-chul's family members. As for her partner, Choi Hee-chul, played by Kang Dong-won, he was really a great surprise. His good acting ability with an average guy look and shy manners fit the character perfectly.

There's nothing in the film that will really surprise people, but since everything has been carefully crafted and the filmmakers paid a lot of attention to all the ideas and details that everything works very well together. The movie is really worth a watch for fans of the genre.

Love Story in Harvard

Hello to everyone....I'm quit busy this day.... can't update my blog as I do the old day but I'll try my best to make it anyway...I think Korean Wave is being so hot right now...I can see how people being so much into Full House I told ya right it's the best for now...but still we have to move on to another new dramas and movies...

Let's talk about the coming new drama 'Love Story In Harvard'. The show, which is actually shot in Los Angeles, (not in Massachussets where Harvard is located) revolves around two intelligent men from prestigious families fighting over the love of one beautiful and kind-hearted girl, a medical school student from a poor family. The drama stars popular actors Kim Tae-hee, Kim Rae-won, and Lee Jung-jin.

Actually there is so many comments about this drama especially the way they talked in English. If you're not good speaking in English doesn't mean you're not good at all. Do you think for someone who talked English so well means they talked other language fluently too?

Whatever... the point is this drama is superb... makes me cry a river while watching it LOL

Synopsis:

The first half of the series is set at Harvard University (but filmed at University of Southern California) and is mainly concerned with the burgeoning relationship between aHarvard Law School student, Kim Hyun Woo (played by Kim Rae Won), and a Harvard Medical School student, Lee Soo In (played by Kim Tae Hee).

~Kim Rae Won & Kim Tae Hee~

Kim Hyun Woo and Alex Hong (played by Lee Jeong-jin) are two first-year students at Harvard Law School, both from South Korea. Alex applies himself more and as such is the favorite of Professor John H. Keynes (the class's strict Law professor, played by Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Frank Gorshin). Hyun Woo, who initially has a hard time adjusting to the workload, falls into the bad graces of the professor, who repeatedly humiliates or ignores him. However, Hyun Woo perseveres and eventually wins the respect of Professor Keynes and his classmates. Both men meet and fall for Lee Soo-In, a third-year Korean student at Harvard Medical School. This intensifies the rivalry between them.

~Kim Rae Won & Kim Tae Hee~

Hyun Woo and Soo-In grow closer and eventually start dating. However, their relationship is short-lived as Soo-In's application to join OEP, an organization that provides medical care to patients in Third World countries, is accepted. After spending a night together, Soo In breaks off all contact with Hyun Woo and leaves to work in South America, leaving him devastated.

~Kim Rae Won & Kim Tae Hee~

The second half of the story takes place mainly in Seoul, after Hyun Woo and Alex have graduated from Harvard Law School. Hyun Woo is now an idealistic lawyer, refusing to take on lucrative corporate cases and only defending people he feels have no voice in the legal system. Alex, who remained in the US after graduation, returns to Korea to take on a case for an international chemicals company, which is being accused of dumping toxic substances. Hyun Woo becomes involved in the same case, although on the side of the victims demanding compensation. In addition, Soo-In also returns to Korea at around the same time to conduct some medical research. Unknown to her at first, the research is related to the chemicals case that Alex and Hyun Woo are both working on, and predictably the three meet up again.

Although Hyun Woo is still angry at Soo-In for leaving him so abruptly, he still has feelings for her, as does Alex. Alex eventually reconciles with both Hyun Woo and Soo-In, helping them to win the case against the chemicals company. He returns to the United States to take up a teaching post at Harvard Law, while Hyun Woo and Soo-In marry and have children.

~Lee Jung Jin; Kim Min; Kim Tae Hee; Kim rae Won~

She is very honest with her feelings and knows what true love is, therefore she is ready to give up her chance of her lifetime for her love for Hyun-woo.

~Lee Jung Jin~
Hong Jung-min (Lee Jung-jin) An American rationalist and man of principles.

Good mannered dresses neatly and has an aristocratic appearance. He has a rather cold and intellectual look, and is full of confidence. One may tend to think that he was brought up with no difficulty, however he’s deeply hurt by the lost of his father. His father had passed away after his company went broke during a lawsuit lead by Hyun-woo’s father’s law firm.
Yoo Jin-ah (Kim Min) A typical girl raised in America.
